The Strange Life of Harold Helm: Mafia, the Occult, & Redemption

Harold Helm Jr. grew up in the Dallas–Fort Worth underworld—the son of a nightclub and strip-club operator with mob ties—surrounded by organized crime and New Age spiritualism. He lived a double life as an honor student by day and a drug dealer by night, a path that eventually led to two prison sentences totaling 19 years.

But behind bars, everything changed. A copy of The Great Controversy set him on a completely new course. Today he's an Elder at West Houston Seventh-day Adventist Church, an international evangelist, and the founder of Making Life Changes Ministries—and in 2022, the State of Texas recognized him as one of its most successful former-inmate stories.
