What Does the Bible Say About the Rapture and the Second Coming?

0:00 1 Thessalonians 4.17, ufologists have speculated that what many Christians call the rapture will occur using vessels of beings that are not from earth. Could this be the case, and what is the difference between the rapture and the second coming? Well, according to 1 Thessalonians, it tells us that this is the second coming. Verse 16 says, The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise. Then we, and this is verse 17, then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them. So this is the same timing, same event, are being caught up with them. And it doesn't say they're spaceships, but the Bible does say, Jesus does say, he'll send forth his angels. I think that's Matthew 24. He'll send forth his angels to gather together his elect.
