This is What Sleep Paralysis Feels Like

0:00 I couldn't see it at first, but I could feel its presence, like a low-frequency hum vibrating just under my skin. And then, one night, I saw it. A dark void in the shape of a human. I tried to pick it up, but I couldn't move. I tried to scream, but nothing came out. It crawled over me, brought its face to mine, and then... Eventually, I would be released from this paralysis, but the fear would remain, as if I woke up from a nightmare. I was confident that it was not a dream. After some research, I discovered I was dealing with sleep paralysis. But not only that, it has some interesting ties to some research I was doing at the time.
