2:07 Good evening, good evening, everyone, strangers and those who are just now seeing this program for the first time. This is Fireside. This is an amazing episode where it is hosted by our very own Matthew. Matthew, how are you tonight? Well, I am just so excited, Bradley, so excited to jump into the topics that I have prepared for Fireside. But I have to ask, you're always so kind in asking me how I am. How are you, Brad? Very good. I'm doing well, and I'm in full living color tonight. I feel like I've jumped into different zones. You were doing some thumbnail work, and I was like, why am I so blue? And I was like, wait a second, I haven't fixed my colors on this thing. So I've color corrected, and now I feel like I've jumped from the 50s to the 70s or whatever it was whenever they changed into color TV.
3:01 So a little bit different tonight. Yeah, you look great. You look great in the full color. I remember somebody commenting before, Brad, why are you so pale? Are you okay? Somebody was concerned, but it was just the color coding that was off. So I'm glad we resolved that. Yeah, I have a bit of a switch up, too. You'll notice that my lights are gone. And the funny story behind that, I allowed my little two-year-old boy to come in and, you know, just kind of hang out with Daddy, watch what he's doing on the computer. And, yeah. And then I accidentally broke them. So I had to get rid of those. Haven't gotten a replacement yet. These are just the sound panels. I got acoustic paneling in the area. So this is somewhat of a temporary arrangement for me. But, yeah, it looks like we're changing things up all over the place, intentionally and unintentionally.
3:55 Oh, hey, remind everyone how they can help this get out to more people. How they can help this get out to more people. Well, you could right now. You could like the video. That's the first thing that you should do. Step number one. Step number two would be to subscribe if you haven't because that's always a good help. And I suppose the third thing is if you're watching this after the recording, feel free to leave a comment below because that will also benefit us greatly. But thank you for watching regardless of what you choose to do. Because we love having you here, all the different people here in our live. Chats. Yeah, towards the end of the night, we're going to try to allow for some time to chat with the folks in our live chats. What we like to do on Thursday nights. I know last show I kept saying Thursday, Thursday, and it was Wednesday, but it really is Thursday. It's really Thursday this time.
4:50 So I can mean it when I say that one thing I another thing that I broke from was the tradition of reading a comment on air. And I simply forgot to pull up a comment this week, if you'll forgive me. I've got a load of articles. I've got a load of articles for us to go over so to next week. Yeah, maybe we'll do two next week. There were a couple that I actually had my eye on reading the comments that I thought would make for good. So, yeah, we'll just pull up. We'll double up next week. How about that? So still leave a comment below and we'll we'll address it on air. But other than that, I think we can just roll into into this. This first segment. What do you think, Brad? Do it. Yeah, if you that's OK, let's do it. So to introduce this here, we'll just read the title first and foremost as an article out of The New York Times.
5:47 It is Practical Magic, the lucrative business of being a witch on Etsy and Tik Tok. Modern witches no longer lurk in dark alleys or operate out of the back rooms of stores. You can instead buy their services online for a pretty penny. Penny or two. So how does that shake you, Brad? Just just reading the title. Welcome to the 2000s. You thought you're going to get flying cars, but instead we have witches in the front yard. That's fantastic. Right. Yeah, the 2020s, the roaring 20s of the 2000s. Turns out it's just filled with occultism and and witchcraft. And it's just out in the open more so, I would say, than ever before. And not only. Not only that, but people are making money off of it.
6:36 Yeah. Wild. And we saw this saw this article and I just had to touch on it. So let's let me read a little bit of it. When my sorry, when Myra Khan's boyfriend left her last year, she was desperate to win him back. I knew he was seeing someone else, but I didn't know how serious it was, said Miss Khan, an influencer in Toronto. I kind of just wanted her gone. At a loss, she decided to consult the occult. Are you the first? This is real. This is the New York Times. This is like legitimate newspaper stuff. This is in the New York Times. You would normally have to subscribe to have access to this article. I got a little freebie. There's like they give away like five freebies. So here you go, folks.
7:24 You're welcome for the exclusive access. It's like this is like propaganda. It reads just like propaganda, too. You, too, can now get rid of your boyfriend. Or whatever this is going to say. Trust me, the propaganda just gets more intense as it goes on. Wait until you see how they kind of justify selling witchcraft online. Anyway, the first spell I bought was a cord cutting spell, which for me was about removing a third party, Miss Khan, aged 28, said. She found a witch through TikTok who only required the former couple's name to perform a candle ring. It was a ritual tying a length of twine around two candles and letting the wicks burn down until the string is broken by the flames.
8:11 She said that it went well, Miss Khan said. It's a good time to be a witch. Those steeped in the craft are part of a $2.3 billion industry in the larger psychic services universe. A field that includes palm reading, palmistry, tarot cards, cartomancy. And astrology. So that's a... Go ahead, Brad. No, I just find it fascinating because the Bible is explicit on this. And it says that we... Just think about the Witch of Endor and how Saul came to the witch even though God had forbid anybody and they had gotten rid of all these things except for a few. And we're allowing this to happen.
8:59 I mean, you see, the problem is that this has become political. If you can allow one religion, you got to allow another religion and they've established that this is a religion too. So although the United States was established on good principles, they found a loophole. And this is a significant problem, I think. Yeah, I agree. I think it is a significant problem, especially considering people are making so much money off of it. $2.3 billion industry. I mean, wow. That's a ton of people. That's a ton of people spending a ton of money on occult services. And it's just... Yeah, the way it's presented too as they walk you through the ritual, what God done there.
9:46 You're right. It is almost an enticing thing. Whereas people might have thought before, oh, I thought like consulting the occult, I'd have to take a knife and cut my palm and bleed and have something messy. I'd have to sacrifice a goat under the moon. But oh, it's just tying a little length of twine around two candles. Yeah. And burning it down. That's not so bad. And not only that... Yeah. Go ahead. No, no, no. I didn't mean to cut you off. Go ahead. Finish with that. Yeah. And this first time user of the occult here is just... Is okay with it. It's not creeping her out. It's something that she's actually able to give this interview about. Whereas before, you wouldn't expect people who had engaged with a witch to go publicly and say, yeah, this is what I did because I was upset about my ex-boyfriend. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
10:31 Yeah. Affirmative. Felt so brand new. Yeah. I feel that it does. And also, finalement, well, it's not the worst rules for anyone. That's a give-or-ttered statement . Alright. Thanks. Go ahead. You want to go? I'm all ears. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But is there any sort of good reason that a witch has... Nah. Hey. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Go ahead. Go ahead. Ronnie involves eroticism. Oh yeah. And that's a great line. Generally speaking. Well, watch the truth. We listen almost every second to Fit's 서로. Yeah. Yeah. we are Christians, and that this is, that God is bigger, he's better, and he is more powerful, but however, there is another force working. We don't need to touch that, because it's a choice, and that's why it doesn't need to be cutting your palms or sacrificing a goat. It's all about, hey, what do you choose to do? Exactly. Yeah, this is about who you're ultimately going to, to determine outcomes, and where you're placing your hopes. It's a great observation, Brad, and we're going to get into that more later. This is a really good topic for us to cover.
11:36 I also just wanted to say, it was funny when I was first reading through this article, Revelation 18.23 came to mind, just the end of that, where it said, for thy merchants were the great men of the earth, for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. It's, I don't know, I just, I don't think that's necessarily the tie-in, but, you know, you know, it's like people are using legitimate sorcery to get rich in this age. Wild. It's just a wild ride, but we can continue with the article. The business of witchcraft is nearly as old as the practice itself. In Europe, witchcraft offered women in the Elizabethan period up to the 18th century a good and sometimes lucrative way to make a living, said Marian Gibson, a professor of Renaissance and magical literatures. In England, the University of Exeter in England. Where have we seen that before? Yeah, that's the same, same university that's now offering a master's course in occult studies. So they're just going right to them. They're, they are a scholarly source at this point on this matter. But watch how they, watch how they frame witchcraft here. This is what I thought was interesting. You talked about it being like propaganda. Check this out. So this woman, she wrote witchcraft, a history in, and this is what I thought was interesting. She wrote about the importance of witchcraft. She said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, end christianity so you see here there is an there's a class struggle angle you have the economic angle and the poor people the lower class they would have to go and visit the witches and the magical people you know because it was just too expensive to go to what they would consider a legitimate doctor so you go to like the holistic witch doctor who's going to uh cure your ailments and then they also tie in this uh this angle where it's almost a racial divide saying that oh well who do it's just it's just a part of uh the african-americans culture the enslaved african-americans culture it was it's like a way of them to uh to embrace their identity but you see how twisted it is yeah yeah absolutely and and so i i think and don't get me wrong i'm going to jump into a little bit disney here i don't want to touch too much on it but at the same time this is kind of what disney does their woke culture tries to grab everything and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and every aspect of everything that's happening in the in the in the media and that's a little bit i call it the squeaky hinge and they push it out in front of everybody and it to try to make everybody uh feel welcome and i think that's nice but it becomes like a propaganda seed in their in everyone's mind and i kind of see that that happening here you know everything everything and every every word they could use except for maybe homosexuality to make this um seem like it's a very good idea is happening right here right if you're it's almost as if you're against this well you're against the the poor you know you're you're against the enslaved african-americans what how dare you pick it against this and it's funny that you mentioned disney because we're going to be getting into that a little later in this episode actually so stay tuned for that anybody who uh who knows about disney's latest release found a link in the description below and i'll see you in the next episode interesting article posted to our discord actually by one of our discord members and contributor eric uh if you'd like to be a part of our discord simply go to patreon.com slash strange normal it's uh twenty dollars to have access to the discord we have a ton of channels we post a ton of things and we go back and forth plenty of uh banter there's encouragement it's really nice i mean i've i've grown accustomed to having the app on my phone and it's almost just very messenger where if i have a minute i can pop in and be like oh what was people posted today and go through the articles uh this article even was given by someone on our discord uh shout out to deb thank you very much that's right we'll continue with the article click i'm from alabama right next to florida so hoodoo may look a bit different there than for gulagichi people from south carolina
16:25 said eve hardy a medium and hoodoo practice practitioner in atlanta miss hardy began offering services like road opening rituals which clear life obstacles on tiktok and instagram in february and her client base ballooned she doesn't consider herself a witch however a witch however but rather categorizes hoodoo as a subset of traditional african religions which can incorporate supernatural practices it's a lifestyle and it's a religion said miss hardy age 26 who clarified that they could not that they could be considered boo hags or priests but not witches so don't mislabel boo hags a boo hag or or a priest practitioner of of hoodoo and again you see the reinforcement of it there is this is not i'm not a witch i'm not practicing witchcraft this is a traditional african religion uh which operates supernatural practices it's just you just so happen to interact with demons when when you uh practice this this tradition the progression of magical practices as an economic force has been mirrored our sorry has mirrored our own changing world people used to offer mail order spells so you would write off to somebody and they would send you back instructions or maybe a charm miss hardy said as commerce moved online so did those in tune with the supernatural witches often play a dual role of a cultist and confidant for customers like lavender gray who operates gray's witch emporium in her home from her home in no nolton england the actual casting is one bit but the other half is just being there she said i'll offer advice and guidance for you to be a good witch in the future because if people go off and do something silly after a spell is cast nothing is going to work this reads like i can't put my finger on it but it's it's like i'm i'm watching a late 11 p.m infomercial and you too can be a part of this for not anything but 1995 six easy payments of 1995 act now and we'll throw in a boo hag yeah your certificate you could be a certified boo hag if you if you mail into us it's funny we actually have someone in the chat alia here says yes i know what boo hags are they're technically a type of witch she says someone at my school back in the day told a creepy story about a boo hag really creepy story maybe at the end of the broadcast you can type out a little bit of those details for us yeah because i had never heard of a boo hag until i read this article yeah me either mm-hmm i would yeah if anybody wants to know more about that i would be happy to do that if you want to if anybody has any areas of expertise on the matter feel free to share something that i thought that caught my attention was saying that she offers guidance and advice on top of casting a spell when we look at satan's system he has to mirror that which god has in place and the church where all of the believers are together under jesus christ it's a and oftentimes we are there to encourage each other with the word of God to uplift each other and sometimes we go to each other about all sorts of matters oh hey I'm having a problem with this in my life you know it could be an obstacle it could be another person I just I don't know what to do can you help me out and there is where you display the faith and you also you show care and compassion and you lift them up it's a that's a living faith that's what's described in James and it's funny because this is what this witch is describing here what she how she does with her clients yeah I cast a spell for them yes I pray for them and I go ahead and I also try to help them overcome whatever it is in their lives I just thought it was so weird let me comment on that too I I think it's it's fascinating because yeah we are called to to bring our troubles before each other and we're also called to bring it before God and we're never called to bring it before you or anything like that that's in the Bible I think I think what what's going on here is pure idolatry because when you go and bring something your troubles and your your your stuff I mean it can even be with your friends if your friends don't say hey let's go to the Lord and talk about this then that can be idolatry too you think that they are going to help you out any more than no
21:25 actually this is a step further because you think that the spiritual realm that you're going to is going to be more powerful than than your your creator that's where it becomes dangerous that's what I want to say that's right yeah it's it's interesting that that's how they they go about it they form a community around this uh this practicing of witchcraft and I think that's what really draws people in probably even more than doing the spells and the rituals online with each other you know it's kind of it's kind of a it's kind of a it's kind of a it's kind of a it's kind of a it's kind of a the way that it's described it's set up like right now you know if if Brad and I were talking face to face like the difference would be Brad would have the candles on his desk and we're just like okay let's do the ritual together and you know then we just kind of like hang out afterwards and talk about some stuff it's I think that's a feeling yeah yeah because if somebody's going to a witch to get something done I have to imagine you got you got more problems going on than just seeking out the witch right that was even true in Saul's case it's like he was already losing favor with the lord and uh before Samuel had even died Samuel had warned him that yeah you're basically you're screwing out big time and God's not happy about it and that's why he's was seeking that counsel of Samuel through the witch he had a lot going on it was more than just his willingness to seek out the witch and for this woman she had gone through a breakup and she didn't want that boyfriend gone she needed something to do with it and she didn't want that boyfriend gone she needed something to do with it some type of closure so what does she do rather than praying to God and asking for healing asking for his will to be done you know pouring your heart like you said pouring your heart out before God you instead go to a witch and you try to find not only a form of solace but you want results through the witchcraft as well I want to you know I had a a close friend of mine in college who um um she had gotten off course and she had gotten off course and she had gotten off course and she had gotten off and she had gotten off course and she had gotten off course and she had gotten off course and she had gotten off course and she had gotten off course and she had done things she shouldn't have and she was confiding me she says what i let us see if itz and I said absolutely not you haven't lost got used it but I went to one of these things I went to the the psychic and asked him what I was supposed to do in my life and S and she says have I completely lost class because of this and I went up won't appeal to anybody out there that has done this you haven't been forsaken by God because you've done this he still loves you and you still can ask forgiveness and come back this is a serious thing, because you're interfacing with the wrong side of the battle here. But it doesn't mean that you have lost the battle. The battle is still going on. If you're still feeling a desire, then the Holy Spirit is still speaking to you. And that's very encouraging, because if the Holy Spirit is still speaking to you, then you still have time. It's when the Holy Spirit stops speaking to you, and you have no desire to go back to God. That's when you're in serious danger. Amen. Yeah, absolutely. That pull, that's the Holy Spirit. And it's calling you to repentance, and it's calling you to reconciliation with God, and you do that through Jesus Christ. There is hope for you. It's laid out very clearly in the scriptures. So yes, a good word of encouragement. We're going to read just a little more of this article, and we're going to talk about results. This is where it really kind of gets wild here. And we'll see another connection.
24:56 Whoa, look out for this connection. Okay. Still, that hasn't deterred repeat customers. This is now talking about a new witch, by the way. Mix Hendrix, who likes to be referred to as they, them, just to put that on the table. They see, they did it. I knew they were going to bring that out. Okay. You knew it. Yeah. You can't go without it. You have to run the gambit. You have to check the boxes, and here it is. So that hasn't deterred repeat customers. Bernadette, Gia Camazzo, a journalist and writer in Atlantic Beach, New York, works with Mix Hendrix at least once a month, mostly on career-centered rituals. Miss Gia Camazzo, age 45, credits her disillusionment with Catholicism for her interest in witchcraft and other supernatural practices, comparing her monthly payments to Mix Hendrix to tithings. Huh. It's a religion. It's a full-on religion. In return, Miss Gia Camazzo feels as though she has a psychic cheerleader. I know that someone's praying on my behalf in a positive way, she said.
26:19 They're somebody that has my back in the spiritual realm. Oh, it's so sad. It is. It's very sad. And look, she attributes oczywiście Bardot. Oh, was it when I was studying with her in school when Westw laughing in a Coffee! Not right now. Oh, and she has Beckett Studios for Attention. Oh my stop talking Arab. That's a good faithful friend. They may have one of their ownota So, you can get away with your own money. Oh, of course. And it's all right. So, what do you mean? Well, if that's screws, that'd be some twist there. of a catholic roots or catholic backgrounds and i do think it is because it it prepares you to engage in the occult you can see how easily this woman has switched over from practicing catholicism on now i'm going to practice this witchcraft and it's not even like i i've got a squeeze to fit this shoe it's just oh this is familiar i get it you know i'm going to go along with it wow yeah oh go ahead so no no i'm curious because i i am not as familiar with catholicism as you are what exactly parallels do you see in it i don't want to put you on the spot here but i can think of a few if you can't but right off go for it right off the bat just from the article alone talking about having a cheerleader in uh in the spiritual and having somebody that has their back in the spiritual realm that as a former catholic i thought of the sainthood because that is exactly how it was described to me through the church when i asked about the sainthood why do i pray to the saints why do i ask them for help and for their intercession and the answer that was given is because the saints are like a giant cheering section in heaven it's think of the biggest stadium that has ever been built and the bleachers are just full shoulder to shoulder with the martyrs from the church just these amazing people who have great faith they love jesus now they're dead and they're in heaven and they're with them and all they want to do is see you be saved and it's almost rude it's almost you're neglecting a spiritual aspect of of your religion if you're not reaching out to a saint in prayer you don't know who your patron saint is at your job well why not i mean he's just waiting there uh you know hoping that you uh bring out that you would invoke him in your life and you're not going to be able to do that you're not going to be able to do that in prayer and say you know like saint john pray for me i'm having this issue here or there you know saint joseph and i know from even like so mary's husband joseph he's considered to be like the saint of uh worksmen so if you're a carpenter or you're going in there it would be wise for you to have a little figurine of saint joseph there there's a lot of other saints and they all have these little figurines there's even one for like selling your home like if you're selling your home you can do and they advise you to like take the saint and you bury them under like the first step of it's like a whole ritualistic thing i this probably sounds weird to some people but when you get into the saints you can go down this whole road where all of a sudden you're invoking multiple names in your prayers and jesus just becomes less and less the focus becomes less and less on god it comes less and less on jesus and uh yeah probably the biggest thing is that the thing that i i think that catholics do make is with mary specifically because she is called the mediatrix the mediator between man and god big mistake say that she's the immaculate conception that she had no sin there's only one human being who had no sin that's jesus christ i mean i could go off on this tangent all night but those are some of the things that suck out to me just in reading that article wow very good very good you want me to click on the next thing is not necessarily an article because after because after something like this after the new york times publishes an article like this i think we need to go to god's word and i think we need to see what god's word has to say about witchcraft in particular so here's our first little slide it comes out of leviticus regard not them that have familiar spirits neither seek after wizards to be defiled by them i am the lord your god in the
31:18 me I can read you is that my face saying something yes that's the I'm going to say something tongue in cheek real quick just to see what you say so I probably shouldn't do this put you on the spot but Matthew that's Old Testament this is the New Testament doesn't that not apply anymore it does bother you doesn't it I can tell from the tone in your voice I can tell it bothers you I mean I understand where I guess that question comes from because I used to have a real problem parsing out Old Testament and New Testament but the truth is the Bible is one complete work and Jesus he fulfilled the law he fulfilled all of the scriptures of the Old Testament that doesn't necessarily negate them it just means that everything in the Old Testament is true and valid and it's good and Jesus came and he showed you how to live by living out the all of those moral teachings that God had been imparting to his people for years and years and years that we now call the Old Testament guess what in Jesus his time it was just called scripture you didn't have New Testament Old Testament the New Testament I don't disregard it I don't think of it as any less I think of the New Testament as in complete harmony with the Old Testament so it's not something that I can look at the New Testament and say okay the New Testament seems to say this and it kind of contradicts what the Old Testament says New Testament then it's a new thing God has completely overrided what he said before and it's just this new concept that it doesn't work for me I have to take what it says in the New Testament and I have to look at the Old Testament and say okay what does the entirety of scripture say and it works vice versa if I'm reading something in the Old Testament and it seems like because people say Old Testament God that's a term that people use seems to be a little bit of Old Testament God and what they're trying to say is a wrath a wrathful God a vengeful God but all you need to do is look at one of the most popular verses that Christians put out which is John 3 16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that when you say Old Testament God that's the old that's Old Testament God giving his only begotten son so that you may have everlasting life that's how I look at this I take the Bible in its entirety and I try not to necessarily divide it out and say okay you know this is for this or this is for that no I don't think it works that way God he's the God of all ages and I believe that you take the entirety of the scriptures and you're left with these concepts that just are pervasive throughout the scriptures so that's what I would say to somebody who believes that the New Testament negates the Old Testament and like I said I can kind of understand where that comes in but please I implore you start studying the Old Testament and take it seriously you know I feel like I have to say that about the Old Testament not necessarily the New Testament I think a lot of people already do take that seriously if they're Christians but look at the Old Testament and just know it should inform what you're reading in the New Testament I'll just leave it at that because again 100% thank you Bradley glad you agree love it we're going to look at another piece of Old Testament I do have a New Testament scripture in here as well but this is the I think this is a big one and it comes out of 1 Samuel for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as inequity and idolatry because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord he hath also rejected thee from being king this is Samuel talking to Saul mm-hmm for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft looking at this article what is actually happening here all these people going to the witches going to the boo hags and the priests whatever they want to call themselves they are practitioners of witchcraft and it is rebellion against God I think it's important that we start contextualizing it in our minds as rebellion because that's
35:53 what the Bible is clearly telling us that it is it's like it's like the definition of sin right sin is transgression of the law once you have that you just have a solid biblical foundation because I've heard people say well sin is like missing the mark and it's like OK I can kind of see where that is but let's do it better let's just go to the Bible what is the Bible says saying is sin is the transgression of the law boom we're just we're done we don't have to debate it anymore we have it right here there are other terms in the Bible by the way that are defined very specifically And again, I'm not going to go off down a rabbit trail here, but Sabbath, I want to be very clear on specifically, is a day. It's defined in the Bible as a day. I see a lot of people say that Jesus is our Sabbath rest, that it doesn't make sense in the context of the scriptures, because you're saying that a man is a day. You're saying Jesus is a day of rest. I'm not trying to make light of it. I know that's like a funny concept. Yeah, I wasn't laughing because of that. I apologize for laughing if you guys, the rest of the audience thinks that we're making light of it, and it's not. It's just such a bizarre, every time I'm laughing, to me, comedy, my personal comedy, I'm just going to go off on a little rabbit trail here just for a second here.
37:05 Comedy is two things that don't match, don't go together, and you'll see a lot of that happening as we are trying to put this channel together, because this is weird stuff. This doesn't match our normal life. This is strange. This is the strange normal that you live in. And so it's weird. It's always a little bit comical to me when I see this, and I'm like, what's going on here? I don't understand. So, and that's my comedy. Anyway, go ahead. Yes, and just to say, to put a little cap on the Sabbath situation, I am a Christian. I keep the Sabbath. I do that because I believe that if I love God, it's like you keep the commandments of God. I don't believe that Jesus can ever be qualified as the Sabbath rest that's being spoken of in that fourth commandment, and that's biblical definitions.
37:57 And now we're going to get back onto this biblical definition, which is rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Isn't that powerful, Brad, to think that when God sees somebody going to a witch, and when he sees that witch doing that ritual, what he's thinking is rebels. These are rebels against the kingdom of God, and they're rebelling against me personally. Right. Right. Right. What do you think of that, Brad? Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is there is a difference. A lot of people say, well, you know, you can't compare, you can't really speak out against homosexuality. I'm going to come back to that real quick, because I think this is an important point. You can't, if you aren't speaking out against these Christians that are doing bad things, and then they come back to Christ, and they'll say, yeah, I've done something bad, I need to repent.
38:49 I need to repent. But you speak out against homosexuality. Well, there's a difference here. A lot, I'm not saying you have to, but there's a lot of homosexuality that is completely in rebellion. They're just like, this is how I'm born. This is how it is. I need no repentance. This is it. This is a whole nother level, a whole nother level of sin. And I think the Bible reveals that, even says here, rebellion is as witchcraft. And so a lot of Christians take a really much stronger stance against some of the sins that we as people, as Christians, struggle with, but are overcoming in the Lord, and are asking repentance for, as opposed to ones that they say, I don't need to worry about that stuff, because this is just me, and God loves me anyway. It's not the same. Yeah, and what's interesting, you said that, and it just made me think right away, of Lady Gaga, and years ago, she had this hit called Born This Way, and it became like a gay anthem. And the lyrics in there.
39:51 I'm beautiful in my own way, because God makes no mistakes. I'm on the right track, baby. I was born this way. Specifically, invoking God, and saying that God doesn't make a mistake. He created you as gay, so embrace it, and go forward with it. When it's like you're saying, you're living in rebellion. It's like saying, God made me a witch, and he doesn't make any mistakes. God made a witch. The day I was born, he made a witch that day. And I'm on the right track. I'm practicing witchcraft. Does that make sense? I don't think so. So let's just keep it in mind that we are the ones who are flawed. Yeah, God is not making mistakes, but we have free will. God has allowed us to. It's free will out of love. He loves you enough to say, I want you to be this being that chooses to love me.
40:40 I'm not going to draw it out of you and make it compulsive. If you love me, I want that to be a genuine love that's born out of your heart. But we have all this. We have all these desires. We have wicked desires, and we do wicked things. And that is where we do need God to step in and set us free from sin. So we'll go on to the next slide, because this one is from Galatians. And like I said, I got some New Testament in here, so we can all enjoy that too. Now, the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these adultery, fornication, uncleanliness, lasciviousness, idolatry, and adultery. Witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like, of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in the past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
41:44 That's out of Galatians 5, 19 through 21. You see it right here. It's in the list. Witchcraft. And just knowing that that witchcraft, like we had just seen in the previous slide, you can see it in there as rebellion. Rebellion against God is not tolerated, and you will not inherit the kingdom. And that makes perfect sense to me, because how can you be a part of God's eternal kingdom and enter into eternal life if you have this weird thing inside of you that says, yeah, ultimately, I don't want your will, God. I want my own will, and I will get my own will by any means. It's necessary. Yeah. Right. I think you said it perfectly. I'm not going to comment. That's great. Right. So we had this, and then as I was reading through the scriptures, I also, I read on to the next portion of Galatians, and I included that, because I want to have something uplifting.
42:37 So these are the, those were the works of the flesh. As we saw, there's a long list there, but here we have, and this is, these are the next verses, but the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace. Long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Against such, there is no law. And that's just, that's beautiful. So look at the things that come out of the fruit of the spirit. What that woman, the initial woman in that article who was hurt after being left by her boyfriend, she needs some fruit of the spirit. That's what she's after. She's. She's after peace. I think she's after, you know, some of that long suffering, having that, that capacity to endure maybe a traumatic breakup, but to pick yourself up and move back along and having the goodness, not to wish ill, not to go and seek out a witch and have some type of witch ritual against your old boyfriend, but, but to have goodness and to actually pray and say, you know, father, I want the absolute best for that person.
43:49 That's a really hard thing to do. I I've been, I feel I've been wronged before, but I prayed for the person before I did anything else. And the results were, uh, amazing. I will say that some of the best things came out of me reaching out to God first and just saying, not even saying, Lord, I've been, I've been wronged by this person. And I'm angry, just like clearing that and just saying, father, I wish this person. The best. I hope that they draw close to you. I hope they receive your blessings. I hope that I pray for their forgiveness. I pray that I see them one day in the kingdom and that we just laugh and all that, all that is just totally behind us. And we go forward, you know, brothers in Christ, that's the, that's the type of prayer. If you can, if you can pray that prayer and I'm not saying it's easy, you need to do it through God's help. You need God's help to do this. It's really, uh, I feel I'm, I'm incapable of doing it, but I can give that testimony to say.
44:49 If you can do that, if you can reach out with that type of a prayer, God will reciprocate and, and some, and good will happen for you, but good will also happen for the person that you're praying for, which is ultimately, I think what you should be after. Um, that's, that's a really difficult thing to do. Um, forgiveness. Oh, hold on. I think my little, my little son is awake. Oh no. It's okay. It's okay. My wife has intercepted him before he made. It to my, to my desk for a little guy. Is this a, we could, we could say a prayer for that, that poor little boy out here in the chat. Just take a moment to, while we, uh, when we continue with, with some of this, we've got articles, Brad, we've got articles.
45:38 All right. We need to make headway. So we're going to jump into, this is now the gear change. We're shifting over a little bit. All right. Uh, but, but it's still, it's interconnected. It's interconnected because we're talking about rebellion and we're talking about the desires of our own heart. So let's pull up this article and take a look. So we're talking about, we're talking about Disney's wish, the latest film to kind of come out of Disney animation and this article. So just, uh, to, to preface we, the New York times is more of a left leaning publication. This is zero hedge. This is more of a right leaning publication. Just so you know. No, we're not necessarily politically endorsing any, uh, anyone here or saying, you know, these guys got it right. These guys got it wrong, whatever. We're just reading the articles and we're drawing out of them. But I, I thought that this was interesting because we're going to talk about, uh, zero has says Disney's wish is a theatrical bomb and the latest in a string of woke failures by Tyler Durden.
46:48 That's a pseudonym, but that's some character. From fight club. So it is, I just realized that kind of, it's like, where is this guy's heart at? You know, if he's going to masquerade as that character, but regardless, is it time to declare the Disney brand dead? Only a couple of weeks ago, the entertainment giant suffered one of his worst box office showings ever with the failure of the Marvels, a feminist driven girl boss movie, which was widely applauded by social justice advocates. But it was not. But ignored by the vast majority of the public, the film is expected to lose 200 million to 300 million once receipts are totaled and marketing costs are accounted for in a bizarre attempt at maximum cope.
47:38 The media is hailing the Marvels as the largest ever theatrical opening by a black female director. When in fact, the movie is actually the largest box office bomb made by a black female director. Now, Disney's animated The Wish is set to top that failure, falling well below box office predictions and bringing in only 32 million over a five day period, including the once lucrative Thanksgiving weekend. So what do you, are you surprised by this news, Brad? What do you think? Not at all. And I'm surprised they are surprised by it. Surprised they are surprised. It's a surprise, surprise, surprise. I think, I think, I don't know what planet they're living on, but they can't continue. I mean, it came out blatantly in the news that they were purposely putting in this, this and saying that we are changing society. I mean, the president, I forget his name at the time. He was, he said, the CEO said, you know, I don't think I want to get into politics.
48:47 I want to go forward and I want to do. I want to do what we've always known to work in our company, which is pushing the message into our, into our, our, our movies. And he named a few of them and, and continue to change the world that way. That's what he said in these personal emails to, to masses of employees. And so I think that this is, um, you, you can't step away from that and then say, oh yeah, all our movies, they're just entertainment. People are waking up to this now and they're going, okay, you're trying to change my mind about something that I believe. Even, and you want me to continue to go to this thing. Yeah. And it, when it might've been before you might go to this thing and I'm on my soapbox now, I apologize. I'm gonna let you talk in a second. No, no. Get on that soapbox, Bradley. This is, don't forget they're bringing their children to this too.
49:38 I'm, I'm bringing us in. This is, this is, this is serious. Um, this, this is, this is silly because that's what happened. He, he talked to all his employees, told them we're trying to change society through our movies. And then. Before that, I believe people were going to these movies saying, well, that was kind of a strange way to do things, but it's just entertainment. It's fine. But when he's openly saying this stuff and then, and then they're like, okay, okay, come on. You added this character here and it didn't work right. You did this with the, this thing. And it was kind of strange. We know what you're doing and we don't want to, uh, encourage our children. We don't want to bring our children to that. We're going to find something else to do. And now their movies aren't making as much. In fact, the day those letters came out, there was like 50% drop in the amount of people that went to Disney world in Florida.
50:30 And they were like, what have we done? And that was the, that was the day when they switched back over to this new CEO. And so I, I, I'm not surprised at all. Yeah. It's, it's crazy what's happening with Disney. Like, like the article said, it seems to be bomb after bomb and Disney, it's a multi-billion dollar company. It's one of the wealthiest companies on the face of the earth, but it doesn't seem like it might be, uh, if for very much longer, if they keep suffering loss after loss. I mean, I don't think anything is too big to fail. Yeah. It doesn't matter at a certain point. If people just walk away and they say, yeah, I want nothing to do with Disney. It's a, it's a tarnished brand and I don't want to bring my family there. That's it. The company is going to go belly up.
51:17 I think it's kind of ironic too, that if you look back through the history of Disney, it's not. It's not like they've always been promoting Christian ideals to begin with. It's just, it's finally become so overt. It's become so obvious that they're pushing this agenda and most people are, and we'll read a little bit into this article, uh, about why they're upset with it as a Christian. I'm upset with it because it, it clearly it's a story about, uh, rebellion against God. So the wish I'm just going to give a little brief overview here from what I know. Uh, is that there is like a King in this kingdom and he has the ability to grant wishes, right? And he could grant anyone's wish that he wants, but it's at his discretion. He gets to choose whose wishes go answered and whose wishes go unanswered. And he says, I know best I'm I'm judge here in this land. Do we see who this King is to represent and guess what role he fulfills, by the way, this isn't the benevolent good King that we're rooting for.
52:20 This is the evil villain. It's God. It's clearly God. And he's like up in a tower or whatever. And yeah, it, it goes to show, but then the, the main protagonist, she wishes upon a star. She's not going to give the King her wish. She's going to wish upon a star and the star falls from heaven and accompanies her on a journey as she then leads the kingdom, leads the kingdom and open rebellion against the evil King. That's the wish. Yeah, that's, that's, that's what it's all about. It's so obvious. Like for me. So as a Christian, what am I upset about here? I don't necessarily care about the wokeness at this point, right? The wokeness. I don't care if there's a, you know, the fallen star is gay or not, or is transgender, you know, it's really about what is the core message here?
53:12 This core message is if I bring my son to go see this movie, he's going to come out of the theater with a totally wrong idea of how he goes about. Uh, prayer and asking for desires and, and cut and going his own way and how, oh, you don't always have to go to the King. You don't always have to go to the King with your wish. As a matter of fact, you can go to a fallen star and that fallen star is, is maybe even more powerful than the King and can give you that wish. And he just wants to grant wishes too. It's not like he's really using discernment. It's do as thou wilt in this scenario. So, uh, that's just so that we all have an idea. Of what is going on with, with, uh, the wish, but let's continue to read the article a little bit so we can look at this perspective because this, like I said, it's not a Christian publication, so we're coming at it from a secular.
54:04 This is a right wing leaning secular perspective. Hold on, hold on first, first, uh, two things before we go into the next slide, my stream was telling me there was some issues with the stream just for a moment. If anybody's having trouble viewing this, let us know in the comments. Number two, Deb said there is a direct UFO. Connection with the movie because we're all stardust and the stars are going to answer us to direct UFO collation. And it's a hundred years in the making. It's an amazing stuff, really. I don't have to dig into that. I didn't realize there was, there was a, a UFO strange connection about, uh, us being. It's weird. It's weird. Cause there's a song, there's a whole song where it's like, if you ever wonder who you are, you are a star, you're all made of stardust. That's what we are. I'm a star and you're a star. It's just, it's ridiculous. It really is.
54:54 I saw the little, a little clip of it and I really, I was like, man, they are scraped from the bottom of the barrel for these. Let's just say it's a, it's a far cry from like a lion King. Right. All right. All right. Let's see. Well, the woke intent is that here's where we're going to get into the political aspect of here. And again, not in, not endorsing this. This is just, I'm reading. From the source, right? While the woke intent is more obscure than previous films, wish features yet another precocious ethnic teen female named Asha banding together with her diverse cast of friends to fight a revolution against the white male patriarchy. The main villain is of course, a white guy named King Magnifico who rules over the kingdom of Rosas. Wait, wait, wait, wait. So is this really what the movie is about? Or is this what they're saying? The movie is kind of. No, this is what the movie is about as, like I said, they're in re it's a rebellion, a revolution against the King to overthrow the King.
56:00 Now you see the author of this article is taking issue with the wokeness of it. That's what I'm saying. I, it's like, leave that aside and look at it as a Christian and just, and boil it down to its base elements here and just look at the characters and just know this is a story against God. It's not against a white male patriarchy. Like he's saying, yes, on the surface. You could get that as a takeaway, but it's going against the patriarchy that is in place by God. That's what this is, but I'll, I'll continue reading a little more here unless you have something you wanted to weigh in. No, no, we'll keep going. Okay. I'll keep going with it. Uh, the main villain is of course, a white guy named King Magnifico who rules over the kingdom of Rosas using the magical power to grant wishes. However, the King doesn't grant everyone's wish.
56:50 Only. Some, and those who don't get their wish granted, forget their wishes forever. Asha believes this is unfair and that all people, I'm sorry, I'm going to go back. So that's an interesting thing. I just caught this reading it live though. Those who don't get their wishes granted, forget their wishes. It's almost like, so the Bible tells us that, uh, every desire of the heart will be granted, right? That's one of the scriptures. And it's referring to the pure desires of the heart. Yeah, right. Right. Go ahead. Yeah. The, I think the, yeah, the verse, I forget, uh, I'll find it here, but it's basically, I don't want to paraphrase the scripture. Like I said, I don't, this is coming off the top of my head. It's not like I have this point prepared, but there's also scripture in revelation that talks about, I believe it's in revelation.
57:40 It talks about the former things will not come to mind. Are we familiar with that? People where we got a live chat. So yeah. Um, Psalms 37, four. This is support free content. Do I have an ad blocker? What is going on? Uh, just a second. I can't read it now. Okay. Psalms 37, four, delight yourself in also in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart. And so there's a direct correlation between what you're doing, what God wants, then he'll give you your desires, the pure desires of your heart. Yes. And even in the chat, see, uh, we have someone, Donna is pointing out that the heart is wicked above all else. And desperately. Or is deceitful above all else and desperately wicked. Yes, it is. But then you have this Psalm. So you have to reconcile what is this talking about? And it is talking about the heart that's close to God.
58:30 And what, what should your heart be desiring as a Christian? You should want the return of the Lord. You should want, uh, the eternal kingdom for him to be, uh, for the government to be upon his shoulders for him to have that total rule. I, you can, that can be a desire of your heart. Um, so just to, to put that in there. I, I just thought it was interesting that there's this idea behind you have a desire and then he's going to like force you to forget it because I've had the conversation before with, uh, with a friend of mine talking about, well, I don't want to, you know, forget things. I don't want to be forced by God to have his mind, like my mind be wiped because the former things will not come to mind, which I think maybe Rocky is pointing out. Yeah. It's Isaiah 65, 17 is where that scripture can be found. And they were saying. You know, this is kind of weird.
59:22 Like it's almost, God's going to come and like wipe my brain. And all of a sudden I'm not going to remember anything else. It's like, well, what's the point? I, if I don't remember my experiences that I had and the struggles and how God helped to overcome those, you know, and that's where I was saying, I don't think that this is a God forcefully wiping your mind. I think that the former things will not come to mind because we're going to be so occupied with eternal life. I mean, put it into perspective, 10,000 years after the end of this world, when you are. When you're still alive, when you're enjoying eternal peace and joy with God and the rest of the redeemed, and we're doing whatever it is we're doing, having a blast. Do you think that those former things are going to come to mind? It's one of those things like when you're having that much fun, really, when you're enjoying yourself that much, are you suddenly going to stop dead and be like, guys, I was just thinking about how Satan, you know, put this stumbling block in my life.
1:00:19 And ruined this. And ruined this aspect. And it was so bad and dark. And I remember the tears that I cried. It's like, no, that's not going to come to mind because you're going to have moved past it. And even in Revelation 21, there's like a promise there that talks about how God will wipe away all the tears from the eyes. That's Revelation 21, 4. And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things have passed away. Yeah, exactly. And the former things pass. Passing away means that I think they can pass out of our mind, and it's not something that we're dwelling on because we, like God is now satisfying us in our lives. Anyway, I know that was a bit of a tangent. Let's get back to the article. But that just stood out to me. I don't know why. That just like popped out at me.
1:01:08 I'm like, wait a second. This is a weird point to be making. Asha believes this is unfair and that all people should have their wishes returned or fulfilled. Perhaps a vague nod to the concept of. Equality in which every person is taught to expect equality of outcome, not just equality of opportunity. When Asha finds a magical power that threatens the king's monopoly, he loses his mind with envy and goes full bore dark side to keep control. While this story arc could be interpreted as a criticism of centralized governance, the greater plot is far more socialist than its agenda. The evil king is overthrown. By. The power of collective love. Wow. Right. The king's sorry. The queen sides with the revolutionaries and rules in his place and everyone gets access to equal wish fulfillment.
1:02:06 It's a woke carnival sideshow. This is what I was talking about. You see, this guy is like so close to getting what the story is really about, but he's just like so fixated on the political political side and saying, no, no, no, exactly. He's like, this is about so. Socialism, this is about, uh, like equal wish fulfillment agenda. No, this is about do as thou wilt, my friend. This is about Satan saying, I will step in as queen, which I've always said, you know, Satan loves to dress up in drag. He really does. He appears as women all the time. Really a weird thing, but that's what he, that's what he's into, right? It's a, it's a twisted, twisted mind, you know, uh, that Satan has, but stepping in to God's place, uh, ruling. Ruling there and suddenly saying, okay, and it's, he's overthrown by the power of collective love.
1:02:57 Satan is all about saying that it's out of love. Uh, cause it's like, uh, that's another thing that they add on to do is that, well, they say like, do as thou wilt, uh, shall be the whole of the law. Like the law is under love, like, okay. But then who's defining love? Love just becomes love. And then we're in a huge mess when it's like, yeah, I can define love because love to me could be, uh, I don't know, bashing your head in with a hammer. It was that well. It's right. I love bashing your head in with this hammer and that's my motivation for it. You know, is that, does that work out? No, that is why we need God who has an objective standard for us to actually aspire to and live up to. So I can say, I don't have to define what, what, what love is. I don't have to define the laws because he set them out for me and he did it out of love.
1:03:48 What do you think about this whole fiasco, Brad? I think, I think it's, it's kind of sad. A sip of water. Because I, you have all this, all this, uh, propaganda. I mean, let's just call it as it is. All this propaganda that's being shot out there. And I think I've often wondered if this is a random thought, but I've, I've often wondered if, if there's so much going on in the world and there's a finite amount of fallen angels here on earth, perhaps they're taking their resources and consolidating somewhere other than Disney right now, because there's a lots happening. In the Vatican, there's lots happening in, in the political, the big, big countries right now to gear them up for war. There's lots happening in other places that, um, perhaps they have refocused themselves. I think, um, Roger Murnau, um, talks about every hundred years, there being a big collective, um, gathering of, of the demonic entities to decide what's going to happen for the next hundred years. And I think we just stumbled upon that. I think it was in around the twenties, uh, is when that happened. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, I gotta look and see the exact date, cause it might be 2025. We might not be there yet, but it doesn't really matter. I don't really care when they meet, but at the same time, it's interesting that all this is happening right now.
1:05:04 And, and there's almost like a, a slide, uh, of a next chapter in what's, in what propaganda is, uh, coming out. I don't know. We'll see what happens. I, I would be thrilled to read the, the, the, the earth history when we get to heaven about what's going on in this lifetime. Yeah, I think we'll all get like personal copies because there's no way we're all going to be able to wait in line to have access to that book of earth's history. Cause I definitely want to look into it too and really, and see the, the full picture behind that, what was going on with some of this stuff. Uh, but yeah, just, uh, an interesting situation with, with wish and Disney in general. And I think we'll keep an eye on that. We'll keep an eye on this old Disney situation. And we'll see if they reverse course, because I think we might be able to anticipate a bit of a pendulum swing.
1:05:58 You know, you're right about those emails that were put out and that were leaked, but it does take time, especially in a, a corporation as a massive as Disney. Like you can't just switch gears on a dime. It's like a warship. You know, when I was in the Navy, if you're going, you know, full steam ahead, you're going 30 plus knots. There's no way if you're just like, yeah, reverse course, do a one 80. It's like, that's going to take. We're going to have to really, it's a wide arc that we're going to have to turn this boat. And it's the same thing for Disney. They're, they're going to have to slow their engines down. They're going to have to make a careful maneuver and a course correct. But I just, for the record, I don't think they're going to be course correcting into something that I'm suddenly like, yay, Disney, everybody let's go out. But I think it will be repackaged and rebranded in a certain way that, uh, it's going to be maybe more palatable to, to a general audience.
1:06:53 If they make it that far, we'll say we shall see massive losses have been plaguing Disney month after month, light year and strange world featured LGBT messaging for children, which did not go over well with audiences. Indiana Jones dial of destiny was another feminist replacement fantasy that bombed horribly. Almost every major Marvel and star Wars release in theaters and on Disney plus has hit a brick. Wall in the past couple of years, largely due to woke messaging. It's a fail storm of epic proportions. The spin machine is working overtime to defend Disney's brand woke films like elemental were flops at American theaters, but made more money overseas. The movie still failed to break even once marketing costs and the theater cut was is added.
1:07:47 What did you have something to say about that? No, no. I just thought it was fascinating. Yeah. Yeah. Then it made more money overseas. Uh, wish. Will probably be handled the same way a disaster in the U S but a moneymaker in South Korea or Brazil. And at this stage in the game, this is the best thing that Disney can hope for breaking even in the meantime, Disney's name is mud in America. And for good reason, rumors are swirling that the company is seeking to de woke a five future content, but it may be too little too late for an organization that only two years ago was so aggressive and. Prideful. And their efforts to indoctrinate American youth. Right. There it is. Yeah. And I wonder too, about that, about the making more money overseas, because I know that a number of companies, production companies, they actually go in and there's two separate releases of the movie, depending on what region it's in.
1:08:46 They'll cut content out, they'll move characters around. They'll make it so that the American audience receives one thing. And then like they're saying a South Korean. Yeah. audience can receive another it may also be a matter of in these other countries this type of like controversy that surrounds disney specifically in the united states just doesn't exist there and they might just see it as that's just another fun film you know whatever you know it's just another fantasy story they don't necessarily see it as an indoctrination type of a thing but uh yeah no yeah i totally get sorry i didn't mean to cut you off go ahead no i want to hear what you've got to say um i a lot of people know i i'm married to an indonesian woman indonesian woman man i should learn how to say that if i'm married to one uh and i i think um it it's very very fascinating to see um someone come over to the states when they're very young and so they don't uh and aren't it's refreshing to see they don't see the nuances of the propaganda and haven't grown up in that culture so they're when they see something like this they're like yeah you know it doesn't bother me i don't care what what is that um it it's it's unique and so i think when you do put some movies out into another country they may not understand the what are the words there's there's like phrases that we use as as americans i mean any culture does this that um mean nothing to someone who doesn't speak the language i mean they're just like what is that that doesn't what is what there's there's a word for it i can't i can't pull it out right now but um when these movies are produced they don't have the same effect as they do on english-speaking people not saying that they are not um uh effective they can be but at the same time they there are nuances about them that that just don't work the same way yeah yeah it's an interesting thing this whole idea that we now live in a global market and it's like things just being passed around uh till like the different cultures and the packaging it's it's it there's a fascinating aspect to it but at the same time it's just like i always think about how satan he wants to cat like if we're if jesus calls us to be fishers of men it's like satan is in is in that business you know he wants the souls as many as he can possibly get his hands on and rather than what we're called to do is just offer up what do we offer up as as fishers event the gospel jesus is like very clearly just get it to them i get i've given it to you freely you give it to them freely that's the whole idea satan he knows it's like man i can't come right out and say i am in rebellion to a god that loves them and created them and all this i gotta repackage i've got to rebrand i've got to have a whole tackle box full of bait and hooks and lures and i'll just keep throwing them out there until i get one that works because that's the most that's the best he can hope for is to just sucker you in with a lie and uh and tantalize but that's the that's the story here like i said we'll keep we'll keep an eye out on it but you know just something to something to look at something to keep in mind maybe a cultural shift on the horizon uh as for this next article it it does lead into that it thought we are going to talk a little bit a bit about cultural shifting and maybe even expectations of the uh the generation z right the younger generation that has already come up at this point and and they're uh they're living in the world and they're working in the world and i'm sure we have a few watching the stream gen z-ers you know we don't we're not like weirdos who uh hate you because you're in some type of a generation even if you're in an older generation there's so much of that right now i don't know if you've picked up on that brad but it's like oh you're you're a dumb boomer i don't have to listen to you and then it's like oh you're gen z go dye your hair and make a tick tock you know it's like everybody like i have yeah i'm like i'm a millennial right i'm like i'm on the tail end of uh of being a millennial and uh yeah like people have their own assumptions about millennials and how they behave and they act and it's all this weird stuff i do think it's very uh divisive you know when are we going to just look at people as people really and uh go off of that but this is an article from the christian post and it came out last week and it's like it's like it's like it's a little dated but there's a reason that i'm putting this article in here it's because looking at wish and looking at how disney is losing money and is going through kind of this crisis it makes
1:13:38 you wonder where the younger generation is at because if they're less and less people getting into disney and it's like well what are they looking for and right here we have it a new jesus movement evangelist nick hall says gen z is hungry for something supernatural that's kind of uh it's an interesting quote that is an interesting quote wow what's what's driving this yeah something supernatural too not necessarily is hungry for a relationship with god and uh you know salvation through jesus christ they're hungry for something supernatural it's very open-ended i feel like that type of an appetite could be uh could be sated by the wrong thing yeah alia says it's a god-sized hole in their heart yeah i'd say so that makes sense to me evangelist and author nick hall is ready to see god do amazing things this summer he's expecting more than 50 000 young people to gather in dallas texas for together 2022 or together 22 a free event at the cotton bowl stadium held june 24th through 25th we really do believe we're on the dot of a new jesus movement hall told the christian post inspired by x blow 72 a 1972 evangelistic conference held at the cotton bowl and hosted by billy graham hall said together 22 will be the largest evangelistic training event in history their attendees will be trained and sharing their faith along with millions more watching online young americans from all 50 states are expected to be there along with a lineup of notable christian speakers and artists including and then it kind of goes into this big list i'm not going to read out every name here if you want you can pause the you know if you're watching posts look at it you know if you're watching live go ahead and read through there the one that sticks out to me here though i will say is chris tomlin because i know he's like a christian artist right like a like a mainstream christian artist he did like some type of a collaboration with uh florida georgia line right the like country music group and like the whole idea was oh like if he's teaming up with these secular people and doing stuff with them that's going to draw more people to the gospel i don't necessarily think that's the way to go about uh spreading the gospel message what do you what do you think brad well i think it's i'm still stuck in this billy graham thing i thought he had like in 2018 billy graham's gonna i mean how will they bring him back but how old is this article well i think we're it's talking about so this current event is inspired by an event that billy graham oh i missed that part okay i gotcha yes so it's inspired by xblow 72 that's what's going on but billy graham is uh was considered a mentor to nick hall and billy graham there's a lot controversy that surrounds billy graham i think even his status it's been debated uh heavily about whether or not he was involved in freemasonry of course his estate has come out and has strictly been like no no absolutely not because i think they understand what it would mean if he was exposed as a freemason but there were some other books i think that had mentioned people going through their initiation process and that there were prominent evangelists were there at their freemason really i think billy graham was hinted at or mentioned in some way like i these are things that i've heard i don't have the raw facts here this is not an a billy graham expose that i'm going after here but i do know that there is controversy surrounding the man and beyond that just his uh preaching of the gospel and some of the tactics that he employed yeah that's not to say that certain people didn't come to christ by going to one of his events but what i've heard is that he employs some methods that were uh dangerous and a lot of ecumenicism involved too i think a lot of uh catholic priests actually were involved uh going to billy graham's big tent revivals is kind of what he had and they would be directed to a priest who then of course would hear hear their sins they'd confess their sins to a priest and the priest would forgive them not in line with the bible not a good way to go about seeking repentance and getting right with god uh what were you saying brad no no i didn't want to cut you off yeah so if anybody in the comments i'll speak to the audience for just for a second if anybody in the
1:18:30 comments uh whether it be live or whether it be afterwards if you know anything about the billy graham thing or where the books were that talk about that i'm all ears i'm very curious so if you can leave a comment on what article what book what uh what resource you found about that because i'd like to dig into that further about billy graham himself and uh see if that lore comes out to be somewhat legitimate because i it's very possible i mean he he did a fantastic i've heard that he does fan he did fantastic revivals evangelistic series for the baptist church but i'm curious if there wasn't something else working for him there that um that was pushing the agenda we'll see i'm sure it'll come out someday it always does sin doesn't hide and um but i i i i'd like to know and i'd like to dig into that a little further that's all i wanted to say oh oh one more thing click that like button everyone that really does help us interact with the chat uh leave us a comment we do read them all and that helps the push this message further because the more you interact the longer you you interact with the system the more value it sees on this stream so very good thank you all yeah definitely like like like we got over 120 people watching live on this thursday night so good to have you here thank you very much just keep on keep boosting that you know the the algorithm is so tricky you know and it's fickle but if you just like the videos it seems to draw in a lot of people which is great uh let's continue reading the article shall we yeah our prayer and our hope is not for an event but our prayer and our hope is to change generations he this is nick hall said that's what happened in 72 and we believe that's what god can do again today this is where i think it gets interesting hall contrasted today's culture with the social tumult of the 1960s and 70s and says he sees massive parallels between the two eras there was a war happening that people were pretty upset about there were riots happening in the streets cities were being torched and looted there was division around race there was division around politics so much that president kennedy was assassinated he said citing the infamous 1966 time magazine cover which asked is god dead hall said that the church was seen as aging out and yielding to a younger generation that quote didn't want jesus just five short years later another time magazine cover signaled a shift in the cultural winds with the headline reading the jesus revolution above an image of the church and the church of the church of christ there had been a massive cultural tide of young men and women in the midst of chaos seeing jesus not as a religious figurehead but seeing him as a revolutionary who modeled life a different way paul content so him drawing the parallels between modern the modern day and the 60s and the 70s i think he's he's pretty correct in that i remember back in say like uh the 60s 20 well yeah back in the 60s back in the 2020s brad back in the 2020s and uh even a couple years before that they were asking people who had lived through the civil rights movement and some of the political uprisings that hall is describing here and they were saying tensions are worse now in this generation than they were back then and i thought they were really bad back then so and i think this is what satan likes to do him and his minions i think they like to do different test runs i think they go through if you go through human history you can see it even in europe for example there was a period of revolution throughout europe europe used to be run by monarchies slowly one by one through the year of the uh if you look at the 1800s there were revolutions happening in every country and they were becoming republic uh they were becoming republics and all the way up until even the early 1900s that's when the czars of russia were finally just deposed and they brought in their own uh kind of republic system what i'm saying here is that the 60s and 70s could have been the dry runs it could have been the practice runs for what we are seeing now so what we're seeing now interestingly
1:23:25 is a is god dead mentality more and more people are turning away from from their churches from their respective religious traditions it's not even christians necessarily i think it's across the board people are more and more they're checking non-religious on their boxes they're saying i you know i don't know what i believe in but i don't believe in any of this stuff none of this categorizes me and so if that's true finding that is is god dead moment now that means just just a few short years later down the line you're gonna see the jesus revolution and not only that but the new jesus revolution it's just recontextualizing jesus again wow yeah i do remember that time magazine is god dead and then the uh the cover of the new one that's interesting and that's the parallel that's happening right now that's something to watch yeah and and the fact that he's also drawing attention to uh back in the 60s and 70s they didn't see jesus as a religious figurehead they saw him as a revolutionary who modeled life a different way it wasn't like you're embracing jesus necessarily because you know he's offering wisdom that you can't find anywhere else uh that in effect it's like is jesus a religious figurehead i mean i would say that he's the head of the church that's biblical you know it's he is the leader of a religious body and that religious body is is the is the church uh he's not necessarily a revolutionary people are saying over and over i heard ben shapiro he he gets pretty nasty about jesus he said some nasty things and one of the more nasty things that he said recently was oh who is jesus he was just some political revolutionary that got himself crucified for his trouble you know it was just like just talking down to jesus when it's like have you read the biblical account ben have you not have you not read how pontius pilate said that this man is innocent the roman governor who was proceeding over him and could have prosecuted him to the full extent of roman law said this man is innocent shall i release jesus unto you or shall i release parabus yeah and the crowd chose barabbas and then he went even a step further and the plaque above jesus's cross read uh here is the king of the jews and they got angry at pilate and they came and said no no no no take that sign down you rewrite it and put here's the man who called himself king of the jews and pilate just said it i've written what is written that's it yeah it says right there that he's he's king he's in effect saying this is your king right heads up this is messiah that was promised to you and you're crucifying him yeah and killing him and ben shapiro was he's jewish and so he doesn't believe he's i don't even think he's messianic i think he's just jewish um which would make sense is why he's saying that but i think it's even more fascinating that um he is kind of his company that he started uh the daily wire the daily wire yeah i was trying to thank you i remember the name of it the daily wire they seem to be lord of the dead at least the name of the story is going to be lord of the dead but he's indeed a man of the dead and he's the king of the dead that is what i think and that is what you see in that it is like the coming of the word and that's the same thing with Christ but His name is john the father it's not the nothing the who it is but it's a goodness that's what it says in that it says in that thing is that he is the king of the dead So, I think they've been risen up in an interesting time period because, number one, we're seeing the downfall of the woke movement, Disney and all this other stuff, which they have heavily pushed against. And then you have them that is, I mean, remarkable. A documentary is coming out and I think they're coming out with a comedy next, even. I mean, they're kind of just on the edge of B-movies, but they're still interesting films that have a lot of support from the Christian community behind them.
1:27:55 They're pushing back. Yeah, they have a congealed... Yeah. Sorry. No, no, no. They have a congealed... What do you call that, the word I'm looking for? A bunch of different religions together that have come together to fight against what they believe. It's a pendulum swinging from one side to another. An ecumenical movement, if you will. So, that's what's happening right now as I see it. And I'm watching it out of the corner of my eye because it's interesting. What were you going to say? Go ahead. Well, yes, Daily Wire is doing this really... It's an interesting move that they're making, actually. I think they see that there's a niche. They see that there's a void and they're moving as quickly as they can to fill it because they've seen the downfall of all of the wokeness, the woke movies, the woke Disney, whatever.
1:28:45 And people are hungry for it. So, let's just go and give them the opposite. Let's see how successful we can be with it. I know that they were so bold as even... Disney's coming out with their live-action version of Snow White. People were already just based off of the screenshots were just bagging on it. I mean, for good reason. It was like they showed what the seven dwarves looked like and it was just like the seven hipsters from... People were saying, Snow White and the seven hipsters from Portland. I remember that it got... Those images got leaked from their emails and people were just amazed by it. I think Daily Wire did something on that. Because they are really the push against Disney. But what I think is fascinating about just that, though, is that I lost it. Oh, I hate that. On a live stream, too. Oh, it's okay. I do have the scripture to help you out because earlier you said, if you were so bold as to refer to Ben Shapiro as Antichrist, and you didn't say...
1:29:46 Not that he is the Antichrist, but here is 1 John 2.22. Who is a liar, but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ. He is Antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son. Boom. That's out of the Bible. It goes on further and says that there are many Antichrists among us even today. Yeah, it doesn't... The Antichrist is not what we're talking about, but there are people who are against Christ, absolutely, which is what that word means, anti, against Christ. And so this congealing of a movement, I'm wondering if this is kind of the flagship that is going to lead this negative... I even struggle saying that because I find so much good they're doing.
1:30:38 And I even have emailed them and said, you know, I'd like to see your guys' studio and stuff. And they don't want to do... that because they have said that they are receiving death threats and all this other stuff, especially since one of their employees did that whole What is a Woman movie. So they were very, very shy to allow anybody into their studio right there. Rightly so. But... Yeah, pendulum swinging. That's for sure. That's what's happening. Pendulum is swinging and Jesus is this revolutionary hero that we can get behind. I think regardless of whether or not Ben Shapiro believes that Jesus... is the son of God, he would get behind what these Christian... Basically it's the New Apostolic Reformation, I think, is one of the official names behind it. But the political movement behind, like, we're going to legislate based on our understanding of Christianity.
1:31:34 They're like, we want to bring back a theocracy. And I think that Ben Shapiro, to an extent, would be okay with it because he'd be like, wow, it beats living in this woke, leftoid world that I'm stuck in. So anyway, let's continue reading the article a little bit here. Let's get more and more. When his mentor Graham started out as an evangelist with Youth for Christ, Hall said his slogan was geared to the times, but anchored to the rock. In other words, the message never changes, but the packaging needs to change, he said. But now, with the onset of the digital revolution, tech and media impact every sphere of culture. Hall believes the church has yet to see Gen Z, which he called an incredibly spiritual generation, the most cause-driven generation maybe ever, unleashed for the gospel. Even with numerous surveys indicating young people are fleeing Christianity in droves, Hall said he isn't buying it. I would argue they're leaving things that haven't been effective for a long time he said, and pay attention here.
1:32:46 They're leaving things that's a club and not a movement. Things that have become more political than Jesus-focused. They want something that's supernatural. They don't want something that's safe. Huh. Huh. You remember all those, what they call them in public school, safe zones, you know, safe areas, what do they call them? Is that what it was called? There's a term. A safe space? Safe space. That's the word I was looking for. Yeah. That's interesting, because now we've gone from safe spaces to they want something real, tangible, and not necessarily God or spiritual, but they want something that is even unsafe. They want something, they're striving for this thing that's so, it's interesting. Yeah, I'm not sure what to say about that. Well, on one hand, he's saying, yeah, they're leaving things, which I think is, this is kind of the weird contradiction that you sometimes see coming in when these interviews are being given, because in one part of the article, they're talking about one subject, but then they change it up, and they're talking about something else, and they say something completely different than what they just said, because he's saying that they're leaving things that's a club and not a movement.
1:34:09 Things that have become more political than Jesus-focused, but he just said in the last Jesus revolution, in the last Jesus movement, it was, Jesus was a political revolutionary, so it's like, I don't know, there's just, there's a disconnect there, clearly. But the fact that he's referring to these old kind of churches and denominations, those are something that you'd consider safe. Now, I think it's really important that as a Christian, especially when you reach a certain age of maturity, you've got to have reasons for the doctrines you believe. There's not, you can't just say, well, that's what my denomination teaches. I believe it because that's what my pastor told me. Really? That's not good enough. That's not the biblical standard. You need to be able to pull out scripture and be able to say, this is why I hold this belief, because it is biblical. Because I'm building my house on the rock. That is what it means to be going from faith, is to have this type of a relationship with God, where you are searching the scriptures, where you're in prayer, and you're trying to make sense of things for yourself, with your own relationship with God.
1:35:25 But I don't necessarily consider that to be unsafe. That's so weird. It's like, they don't want something that's safe, which means they don't want something that other people have kind of, I don't know, blazed the trail, so to speak. There are people who have kind of been down these roads, and they're saying, yeah, there's a reason why we do things a certain way, or we believe a certain way. Yeah, they want something that's supernatural. They don't want something that's safe. It reminds me of that song, Reckless Love, about the love of God. And God's love is never described as reckless. God is, time and time again, described as a refuge. Go through the Psalms, because in the Psalms, God is often referred to as a fortress, he's a refuge, he is a buckler, a mighty shield. Those are things that keep you safe. Those are things that defend you from what wants to hurt you.
1:36:25 So, it's just weird to me that this language is being used. Maybe it's a poor choice of words in some ways, and I'm scrutinizing it a little bit too much, but it's just you draw these things out. You have to. You have to think about them, and I think this is part of discernment. And I do want to do some more discerning, but Brad, do you have anything else you want to say? Yeah, what's fascinating to me, is not only that, but what were the key words you said out of the article? They were looking for something that is reckless, not reckless. You mentioned that from the song, but what was the article saying? It says they don't want something that's safe, and they want something that's supernatural. That sounds like the UFO movement to me. I mean, think about it. It's supernatural. It's absolutely not safe. You have all these things that are happening, and there's some kind of spookiness to it. I mean, that's what Tom DeLonge was saying in his movie. I want something that is... I don't want your Jesus. He was at the prayer table.
1:37:31 I want something that is real, something that is tangible, and this is it. You don't even know what God is. I know what God is! And so, that's what I see happening here. That's the generation that's coming up, and they're going to seize this thing. Again, maybe I'm biased because I've been researching this so much, but this looks to me like this is the generation that's prepped for this. Totally. I agree. And you know what's funny? It's like they're attaching a lot of names, a lot of celebrity names to this type of stuff, aren't they? They're trying to get anyone who's been a big name, a big personality, they get them tied in with it, and they try to give it more credence based off of that. Let's check out this next article, because we're going to continue with Nick Hall, because after thinking of this article and knowing that it was from last year, I was like, well, what's he been up to this year? And this year... Wait, wait, wait. Who's Nick Hall? Remind me again who Nick Hall is. Nick Hall is the evangelist, the author. He leads this movement. It's like Pulse is the name of his, I guess, ministry, you could call it. But he's constantly looking to do these large-scale outreaches targeted specifically at the younger generation. That is Nick Hall in a nutshell. This is from this year. So last year, he did his Together 22. This year, it's a free concert with a message of hope.
1:38:55 And this article is from Church Leaders, and it reads, Critics slam student-led evangelistic event featuring Chance the Rapper. Nick Hall defends the decision. So he's the one that's behind this idea. And as you can see, who's topping the charts here? It's the secular artist, Chance the Rapper. He's going to come in. He's going to do some rapping. He's going to put on a show for the kids, and then we can come out, and we can give them some gospel. Is that how it works? I don't know. Is that how it worked? In Acts. You've read Acts, right? Do you remember Peter, for example? It's just like, oh, let me bring out these famous Athenian musicians, and they put on a show, and they play all their pagan music. And then Peter comes out, and he's like, that was great. That was great, boys.
1:39:45 I want to talk to you about Jesus now. I want to rap to you today. I don't remember that. I must have missed that chapter. Comes in with the hat turned around and the seat, too. Backwards chair. Yeah, exactly. So, it was called Fill the Stadium. Fill the Stadium, an evangelistic event created by college students for college students created by college students for college students has come under criticism for featuring secular rapper Chance the Rapper. The event will be a turning point for culture at a collegiate level and a catalyst of positive changes in OKC and beyond. The FTS website reads, this event is scheduled to take place at the University of Oklahoma on April 29th.
1:40:37 Chance the Rapper, whose birth name is Chancellor Jonathan Bennett, is a three-time Grammy Award winner. He also has been vocal about his faith in some of his songs, including How Great and Blessing. Chance the Rapper has said that his grandmother raised him in the Christian faith, but that his relationship with Jesus didn't become real to him until 2015 when his daughter was born with a heart condition that kept her in the NICU for over a week. In 2016, Chance tweeted, Today's the last day of my old life. Last day smoking cigs. Headed to church for help. All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me. He has also frequently attended Kanye West's Sunday service. Despite his faith, Chance's songs often include explicit language and adult themes. So before I read this last portion of the article, I want to say, so this seems to happen. There are celebrities, whether they be musicians or actors or even politicians, that type of a thing, because they live their lives in the public eye.
1:41:57 It reminds me of one of your UFO celebrities now, Demi Lovato. She was baptized in the river Jordan and was like, yeah, I'm committing my life to Christ, so amazing to be here. She's saying, I have Israeli roots and now I'm in this country. It was going on and on. Of course, people were cheering it on. They're saying, yes, look at this person being baptized now. Look at Demi Lovato now and see how she's living her life and see what she's doing. Is she living a Christian life? Is she walking a Christian walk? No, I don't think so. We're going to get into discernment here because I want to be very purposeful about how we're approaching this. Just keep that thought in mind as I continue.
1:42:49 Despite his faith, Chance's songs and his dreams, critics jumped on Hall after he announced that Chance the Rapper would be performing at a student-led gospel-driven event with some urging Hall to reconsider using the secular rapper. Chance the Rapper is a struggling Christian at best. Please don't use him to just draw a crowd. Not fair to him and sets an unbiblical example, one of Hall's Instagram followers wrote. Another asked, Chance? Please explain how this is gospel-driven. That's the first commenter's approach, by the way. Saying it's not fair to him and it sets an unbiblical example. You are just providing a stumbling block for Chance. If he is living life in contradiction to the gospel, if he is really going against what Jesus stood for, inviting him into an event that's supposedly a Christian event, that's not going to do anything for him.
1:43:45 He's going to think, oh, I'm good. I'm good where I'm at. I don't need to change anything. The Christian community loves me. They want me to perform for them. They want me to perform my secular music for them. They want me to perform my secular music for them. There's the issue. It's not fair to him. It does have this negative effect on the person and on the crowd as well. There's not going to be anything edifying there. Is there anything you'd want to comment about? I think you hit the nail on the head. Actually, there is this one thing. I struggle with this because number one, I am saying I believe exactly what you said. You said it 100% right. The other side of me also says, this poor guy. They're putting him up there and he's probably just living up to everything he knows about Jesus. I'm skipping the benefit of the doubt for a moment and say he's a brand new Christian.
1:44:39 I don't know what his background is. He is just trying to do it. You've got these religious leaders out there just digging at him. You know what that does to a new baby Christian? It kills them. It kills their faith because they're saying, everything I'm doing is wrong according to these people. I just want out of here. I'm going to start my own thing. They don't want to be a part of it anymore. I totally get that. There needs to be this delicate, delicate, delicate, delicacy about dealing with someone that's brand new and put in the spotlight. There was once a well-known Hollywood actor that became a part of my church. He was put out in the spotlight really hard. Anytime that happens, you are hit from both sides as a popular person.
1:45:37 Number one, you've got all these different people coming in and praising you. Number two, you've got all these people coming in and just hitting you with all kinds of other stuff. I guess, just in general, being someone with the faith of something, it's a hard job. They really need a lot of prayer. That's all I'm going to say. Yeah. I agree with you, Brad. We are going to look a little bit at Chance the Rapper here. This is what we're going to do. This profession of faith that he made was back in 2016. I want to know what he's been up to recently. What has he been doing in the past year? What are the fruits? That's why I'm going to lead with Scripture. We're going to pull this up. These are the words of Jesus Christ. Now, this was in reference to false prophets in the verse before, but I think this is a wonderful way that you can apply the teachings of Jesus to make this determination.
1:46:37 Because we are not called to not judge, period. That is not what we're meant to do as Christians. We're not walking around here just bumping up against everything. We're supposed to be walking in light. See things and have an understanding, a clear understanding, and this is how you do it. Jesus says, Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit. Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down. And cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
1:47:25 So, before you click on the next slide, this is we're going to look at the fruits of Chance the Rapper, and you tell me based off of this, whether he belongs at a Christian evangelistic concert slash prayer meetup, whatever they're labeling this as. Okay, this is what has been used for one of Chance the Rapper's singles, which was released last year. What is that? Now, this is Art Bradley. This is what passes for Art these days. This is one of Chance's album covers. It's specifically a single that he released. And it's here, and we'll look into also, I got the explanation off of a website where he was explaining what it means and what this thing is, but we'll just look at it for what it is. What do we see here?
1:48:23 People in the chat, what do you see? Does this not just make your skin crawl right away? It's demonic, right? Like, I don't need to really hammer it too hard. Let's, go ahead, click on the next one, because this is what's interesting. The name of this single, that picture is representative of, is called Ya No. Ya No. Okay? It's more than that, Brad, and we'll get into that. Maybe some people already know what's going on here. He says, the exhibition was a big success. Thank you to the Museum of Contemporary Art and Mia Lee for giving me one of the best nights of my life. I had planned to drop some new art tonight, but I'ma wait a little while so you get the message clearly.
1:49:15 Ya No? And he has this, this is a also the music video of the single. The name of that is called, like I said, the name of the single is called Ya No. It's not referring to Ya as in you know. It's referring to Yahweh. It's referring to Ya God. And this is from the lyrics that I have pulled up here on my screen. Where he invokes the name of Ya. You tell me, this is an appropriate way to invoke Ya's name. Sometimes I'm my boss, sometimes guns might bust. Freedom is a must. In Ya we trust. What? Did I? Where did you read that? Am I on the wrong slide? No, I pulled it up separately. This is not a slide that I had prepared. Because afterwards I was just like, I better read it on air. Just so we know how he's bringing that up. How he's invoking that name.
1:50:15 But here is his explanation in this slide of what's happening in that picture. Can you tell me if this makes any, yeah. You tell me if this is what you got out of it. Ya No is a representation of generations of storytelling. Particularly within black families. It's the recalling of personal stories about the journey one had to take told by a grandparent or parent in a first or third person perspective. This scene shows the characters named the lady and the gentleman in movement. The explosion in the background represents having to adapt and move forward because of the circumstances that tend to throw one off course. The desolate landscape is for the viewer to fill with their own scene of relatable experiences or the ones they were told in their family. These are the details of the narratives that show vulnerability and honesty while connecting experiences from one generation to another. Honestly, I'm not seeing it. I'm not seeing it when I read this description. That is not what I see when I see it there. This is demonic, weird imagery of people with fangs. I mean, they've got these menacing eyes. The fire and explosion behind them.
1:51:29 Matthew, that's the lady and the gentleman. It's the lady and the gentleman. Of course. That's what I thought of them as. No, it's just a lady and a gentleman. Wonderful, wonderful art there. Just the whole thing is weird. I could have gone into more of this, but I just wanted to leave it at that to show this is what is being used on the artwork. It's not uncommon, too. Rappers do have this weird demonic edge, even if they're not explicitly out in the open. Some of them are really hardcore. They'll be like, yeah, I'm a demon baby, and they'll just go on this whole tirade about how they're demonically possessed. But other ones, you don't see it necessarily for what it is. I remember Kanye West, he dropped My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Several years ago. The album cover for that was always very strange, and I thought it was very strange. It's a weird, disturbing thing, but I wasn't a Christian.
1:52:31 I didn't have eyes to really see what was going on. It was only after I came to Christ, and I was reviewing things in my mind. I'm going through the catalog, and I'm like, what have I seen? What have I encountered that has been demonic? That album cover came to mind, and I looked it up. It's a depiction of, and it's kind of in this style, it's like an abstract sort of a thing, of him fornicating with a fallen angel. And if you look up, I'm telling you, if you look it up, you can see where people will say, yeah, that's what this is. And it's really weird. He also had this whole music video movie that was put together. It's kind of like how Michael Jackson did Thriller back in the day, where it was more of a it wasn't just the song, it was a story surrounding it. He did the same thing off of that album, where he had several things, and this weird fallen angel being is with him, and following him around, and it's got these weird wings, and it's like it seems to be like his familiar spirit that's with him. It's so weird. I'm just saying when you get into this secular stuff, they can't go without doing something really just strange and demonic. Even like the most, I don't know, what you would think of as safe and easygoing type of a thing, like the Beatles. I think the Beatles are always a classic example because on their face it's like we all live in a yellow submarine, but then they're just like going off, and there's images of them doing the horns and wearing inverted crosses and all this type of stuff. It's like, yeah, clearly there is a problem that is happening in the secular world, and we don't need to incorporate that into worship in any way. Yeah. I agree. And on the flip side too, like I've always said, it's so difficult to know where someone is actually. And like you said, you can't judge a boat by its cover. We can't look at the logs of someone's life yet and say, well, this is where they're at. We can only look at the fruit of their present righteousness. And the issue, because I see this happening at the very end of time. This is just me surmising from what I know about the Bible, what I know about Revelation, what I know about eschatology, and what is going to happen at the end of days.
1:54:57 I mean, look at Kat Von D. You've heard of that name? She became supposedly baptized Christian, completely different than what she was, we think. But she's baby Christian right now. And hopefully she's growing in Christ. At the end of time, I believe that a lot of Christians are going to pull our history. And they're going to say, hey, look, this guy, you know, look at his history. Even though we might have been doing amazing stuff for Christ. We might be pastors. We might be clergymen. We might be the head deacon at our church. And they're going to pull our records and say, look, you know, this guy has in the past, he's been in prison for XYZ. How can he be a Christian? And they're going to try to deter us because all of a sudden, ultimately, the big problem's going to be these guys can't be ready for heaven. There's going to be a and the Bible says there's going to be a group of people that are going to be ready. God's going to make them ready for heaven.
1:56:04 They're called the saints. It's Revelation 14, y'all. Y'all. I can say that. I'm in the south. It's Revelation 14. And it says the saints will be ready. And these people will not see death. There won't be death. No death for those people. It's going to be remarkable. And so, not that they have, you know, just done anything on their own to acquire this, but that they've lived so close to Christ. And they've focused on him. And those people, the people that are sinners of earth, they will pull their records and they will say these people have been terrible. They have not been saints all their life. But we, me, you, Matthew, everybody can be a part of that kingdom. I mean, I believe Christ is coming back in our lifetime. And so, even though that we might be that rapper. We might be that terrible person. We might have problems right now.
1:57:02 We can still have time. The Holy Spirit is still working on us. And so, I believe that we need to focus our attention on Christ and live closer to him. That's the only way we're going to be able to do it. Soapbox over. Back to you, Matthew. No, you're totally right, Brad. And just to put a little end cap here on the Chancellor rapper thing, I am not saying that he is going to hell. I'm not saying that he is doomed. I am simply doing what I've been instructed to do. That's why I read that scripture beforehand and I'm looking at the fruits. What is coming out of this man's music career? Okay? Here it is. I believe the way that he's using God's name in rap, I think is tantamount to taking his name in vain. Because it's not doing it in a worshipful sense. It's just throwing in his name to make a rhyme.
1:57:58 It's so pathetic. That to me is just disrespectful. And I don't think that there's no hope for him or whatever. I'm just saying that he made this profession and what I'm seeing him doing now, this is, keep in mind, six years down the line, doesn't seem to be necessarily in harmony with the gospel. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm pointing out. I think people are right to have their concerns about him performing. I agree. That is all. I 100% agree. I wasn't disagreeing with you at all. I was just trying to look at it from what people could say about the good people at some time. And that's what I got worried about. I'm just clearing the air. Anytime you do something like this, you can come off as a stereotypical, judgmental Christian who is just holier. I'm holier than thou. And you, look how bad this guy is. Look at the type of music he makes. Oh, he's awful.
1:59:04 That's not what I'm trying to say. I'm just saying, here it is. I can't do anything more than this. I can't do anything more than to bring you the fruit and to say, here's what I am doing. This is how I am judging the situation. You are free to judge it any way you want. You can look at this and say, no, I think that explanation that was given was totally valid. No, this is actually uplifting artwork. If that's your opinion, go for it. You're making a choice. Everybody is making a choice all the time. God has afforded us to make choices. Part of why I love him so much is that he has this great respect for you. And he has this great respect for me. And he says, I'm going to let you, with your discernment, make a judgment. That's exciting. And ultimately, the judgment of this man's soul and anyone else's soul does not rest with me. It rests with God alone. And I don't want that responsibility either. It's not something I wish for. I'd screw it up.
2:00:06 I've said it before. I'll say it again. And I probably will say it more. I would screw it up so badly. I mean, the kingdom would be a mess. If I was the doorman. Okay? I'd be turning people away so wrongfully. I would be letting in people that I thought were just fine. And we'd be right back into the mess that we're in today. Fortunately, that ain't gonna happen. We got God as the ultimate judge. And he knows it all. He's righteous and true. Perfect in his judgments. And there's not a single soul that gets left behind. And there's not a single weird branch that doesn't rightfully go into the fire. Amen. That is on him. Amen. 100%. That is it. That is it. Before you say that is it, tell people what we're trying to do by the end of the year.
2:01:02 10,000 people. 10,000 subscribers. We are. Okay. So we're trying to hit 10,000. If you haven't noticed, you can look down at the little number right now. I'm looking at it. It says 9.88. Which means that we are 120 people away from hitting. That's four people a day for the rest of the year. If we can get four subscribers a day for the rest of the year, that would do it. And we're trying organically to do that. But if you guys, everybody listening, can help us out, that would be super. What you can see is, okay, so I'm sure you've noticed if you're a watcher, a viewer of the program, you've seen some produced content coming out, haven't you? Under the videos section, there are two videos available right now. That were taken off of last Wednesday's live stream. And what's been done with those is, yes, it's the information that you had on those live streams, but they're packaged in such a way that they can be shared to people who might not be into this long form content like you are.
2:02:06 Or even if you watch the streams, go ahead and watch the videos because there's supplemental information that gets put in. The editing process makes it so that it's a very smooth, logical progression. Some of the editing tricks that have been put in there have taken a significant amount of time and effort to do. I'm just going to leave it at that. There's some stuff in there that, yeah, it's really cool. And it's just going to get better and better as I... Basically, I'm doing some of the editing. As I become more familiar with the software and some of the editing tricks, it's just going to get better and better. But I like what's out there right now. And Brad just edited together a short as well. So if you know anyone who's into the shorts, turn them over to there. We're going to keep churning it out. We're going to keep churning out that type of content. So look for it in your feeds. You can watch it and you can share it to other Christians, non-Christians, your family members, whatever. And I think that would be a great way to drive those numbers up, to get those subscriptions going so we can hit the 10K.
2:03:16 And I'll give everyone a little bit of insight on how YouTube works. You might not know this, but what they are going towards is not necessarily integrations about how often you comment or like as much anymore. That used to be a big deal. That's why we say like, comment, and subscribe. But the big thing they're going for is how receptive are they to liking the entire channel. In other words, they figure that out by are they watching the entire video without pausing, without stopping? Is it engaging to them? And after the video is done, are they going to the channel and watching another one? I know that's a big ask, but if you're watching some of these short ones, go and watch another video after you watch the other one. That is what actually drives YouTube to say, oh, this content is good. Look, people are watching it. They're watching not only one all the way through, but they're going to the channel and watching another one all the way through. And so that's called user retention, and it's a real analytic that we have to watch in YouTube watches.
2:04:20 That is the newest thing as YouTube grows into their teenage and adult years, because really this search engine has only been around for, what, 17, 20, maybe 25 years now. So it's barely an adult. And so now as it's gone from these are popular people to or popular YouTube channels or popular websites or whatever it is, into, okay, it doesn't, back linking doesn't matter. It's actually what matters is how engaged are they? How do they find things that are fascinating? Sorry, go ahead. Yeah, it's about the content itself, which is why I was also saying I think you'll enjoy the content. If you like this long form stuff, I think you'll legitimately like the videos. I don't think it's going to be like, oh, man, these guys are asking me to watch this thing. I have to keep it on. You'll enjoy it. Yeah. You'll enjoy it. You'll like it. And like I said, there's supplemental information. There's a little bit of humor in there. The humor doesn't take away from any of the main points we're making. It's a really fun process. And yeah, there's going to be more of it. So just be on the lookout and share, share, share. It's great fun. But thank you so much.
2:05:32 Thank you for watching the long form content because realistically, I mean, this audience that we have established, you guys coming in, watching these videos, it's been awesome. I mean, since the beginning of the year, I think we've seen views on the channel triple, sometimes quadruple what they were back in January. That's huge. So many new people are coming in. And this next year, we're just looking to hit it even harder with the new produced content and some other cool stuff that I'm not going to talk about. We're going to get into it soon. Yeah. Maybe if we hit 10K subscribers, we might air a little sneak peek of something. I don't know. We'll talk about it. If you're interested in that, we are going to try to get that by the end of the year. So tell your friends about this. Get them to subscribe. Don't just send them a link. Say, hey, subscribe to this. This is important.
2:06:32 You're going to want to know more about this stuff. Awesome. Go ahead. I was just going to say, Hans here in our chat says, the algorithm recommended this channel to me. It works. That is awesome. If you're watching this video right now and you can leave a comment, leave a comment if the algorithm recommended you this video. I'd actually be really curious to know, how did you come across this? Was it by a friend of yours? We could run a poll, Brad. We could do a community poll. I would like to know. The problem with the poll though, I have to know ahead of time what the answers are. There's so many possibilities. I was told through a friend. I searched for it. A friend of mine saw this on a podcast.
2:07:20 There's many different ways. I could try to think of them all, but I can only put in six answers. Leave a comment and tell us how you did this. Then I'll take the most out of those comments and I'll try to run a poll to see what the ultimate answer is. That's a really cool method. Now that we've gotten all the channel business out of the way, which is exciting for us, and I hope it's exciting for everyone watching too. We'll start fielding some comments and questions from the audience, the live stream. We'll do that for a little while and then dot dot dot. Very good. I see people are pouring in right now. We've got some people who had followed us over from Little Light.
2:08:14 LEB is what I'm seeing. In the live chat a lot. Leah, now I watch you more than LED, to be honest. That's cool. The interesting thing about this is that it's not just... It's good to understand what's going on in Hollywood and how it's propaganda and stuff like that, but what we're seeing, to be honest, is that the propaganda machine isn't working as hard. Like Disney, they're kind of hitting a plateau. What we're seeing right now, what we're going after with this channel is not necessarily conspiracies. And that's good. I'm not saying that's bad, but we're going after Bible prophecy. We're saying what in the Bible is actually happening here? Sounds like I was swearing. What in the Bible? No. For real. We're looking at the Bible. We're looking at Revelation and saying, how does this fit, this current news that's happening? Let's give your religion some legitimate reason here and make it applicable to your life.
2:09:14 That's the whole point of this channel. That's something that jives with you. I can understand why you're watching this a lot. It's the strange happenings in your normal, everyday life. That's the tag of the channel. And that gives us a lot of wiggle room. We could go to a lot of places. And I've even said before, and believe me, I've been looking at recommendations for content. I got them right up here. I know there are certain topics I do want to hit on. It's going to be fun. It's either going to be on these fire side shows where you're going to see less of the UAP. I mean, there's so much UAP stuff, Brad. I mean, I know you've got a Sunday show lined up because it is wild. It is blown up right now. Some of the UAP stuff that's happening right now. So do tune in for Sunday night because that's going to be, I already know, it's going to be exciting to see what Brad's got. But yeah, fire side. That's what this is. We go over whatever topics we want. And that's why there's always going to be a bit of a narrative that I try to tailor it to so that it flows logically through. But it is, you know, we can go wherever we want with it. And that's a lot of fun. I see in the chat here, again, Hans said Lil Nas X has entered his Christian era. Is that true? Have you heard of it? You know Lil Nas X, do you? Are you familiar? I am.
2:10:36 When I was doing the music documentary, which is on this channel as well, called the, what is the name of that one? It's called the hypnotizing... Oh, shoot. I'll figure it out. But it's one of the first documentaries on this channel. And so Lil Nas X was one of the... Oh, it was about the music? Yeah, it was about the, you know, going to the crossroads. And it was a fascinating, just fascinating when I was researching it. I was like, what? This? What? And because even Little Night Studios didn't cover music. And so when I started digging into music, which was funny because I put this out on my channel and then the leadership at Little Light, they wanted it on their channel. And I was like, okay, sure. So we did it for that channel too. Well, it's good stuff, man. It's mind control. The mind control plan that has already begun. That's it. That's the name of the video. Yeah, that is a good one. And did you mix the music in there?
2:11:36 A bunch of the lyrics? Is that yours? Or did you find that somewhere? The first one is mine. We took a bunch of the songs and we mixed them together. I mixed them, yeah. Integrated them. And it was a little bit long. So we chopped it down when we put it on. I decided to do that. I wasn't told to, but it was just a little bit too lengthy. And so, but the second one was a professional mix called Do What You Want To Do. I mean, just some amazing work. It's staggering. The amount of songs that have those lyrics all based around doing what you want to do, living your own life, you're the master of your own destiny. You don't even realize that a lot of the times I was always a lyrics guy, because I really liked some of the more poetic the better. But the amount of people I would talk to, because I was really into music, I'd just be like, yeah, you know that one lyric where the guy says this and this and that? I was like, yeah, I couldn't believe it. That just hit me.
2:12:36 And they're like, they say that? What? I just like the way the guitar sounds. Or I just like the drums. It's got a good beat. Okay. It was all about what the message was. Unfortunately, I was totally brainwashed myself and was into it. I was into what they were pushing. I was saying the same things too when I was growing up. I don't care about what they say. I just like the beat. Yeah, I was brainwashed. You're brainwashed at that point. You don't even realize it until you get out of it and you're like, wow. I believed all that stuff. They talk about real stuff, man. Yeah, it's real deep. Yeah. Oh, go ahead. Sorry. Go watch that. Go watch that thing if you haven't seen the one about music. Really fascinating. The mind control plan that has already begun. Available on Strange Normal. It's one of those.
2:13:32 It's under the video tab. Not the live. Click on videos. Click on oldest and then start scrolling down because it's one of the first. Yeah, it's the sixth one from the bottom. So, go ahead. Enjoy if you have not already. Let's see here. Oh, yeah. PatriotLin, I was going to say, was asking if we were referring to They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll. Yeah, I know. He was talking about the video that he did for the channel, but I am familiar with They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll. That series is so well done. I mean, I don't know how long ago they put that together, but they still, even to this day, on the their channel, they'll just bring it up and be like, yeah, you know, it's just like we say in They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll. And it really does hold up because it was just a whole expose of that time. And he gets into the trivia, really, like of what the bands were doing and what they were about. You could tell the guy who put the documentary together.
2:14:35 It reminds me of myself, like really into the bands and how they wrote their music and the stories. The lore, right, Brad? We call it the lore. We live behind the music. And yeah, just totally taking it and tearing it apart and saying, do you not see? Once you look at it with a biblical lens, it's just like, wow. Okay. They're being very blatant about this. It's like this is not even hidden. Like there's Black Sabbath, which I mean, should we be surprised, it's a band called Black Sabbath. But they talk about how the way that they formed their band was, there's like a demonic figure appeared at the foot of his bed when he had like an ancient bell book that was gifted to him. And he was like, yeah, have you ever heard of that? It's a wild story. I mean, you would hear you'd look, you would hear that story as a secular person and just think like, okay, yeah, they're a little nutty. They're a little weird. Of course, they're going to have like a story like this. But as anyone with spiritual discernment, that's like, yeah, I believe the guy.
2:15:35 I believe that there was an entity at the foot of his bed. I believe that it scared him out of his mind. And what did he end up doing about that experience? He didn't run to God. He turned it into a song. He got them airtime and it made them more famous than they ever were before. It's like, it's wild what people do. Wow, wow, wow. Let's see. This is about the time you should put a plug in for Distraction Dilemma series. I don't know if I'm familiar. Are you familiar with Distraction Dilemma series? Distraction, is that, there's another creator that does, I think, the Distraction Dilemma. I don't know. I'd have to remember what his name was. I looked it up in, I looked it up in, Christian Berdahl. Shepherd's Call? Shepherd's Call Media? Probably. Is that what you're referring to?
2:16:29 I'm not too familiar with them. And I actually haven't seen this series. I'm sure it's some of the content that I'm familiar with. But I'm glad more people are doing it. I think Christian Berdahl is the guy who does this. Anybody that's pushing the message that you know, what's going on with society, I'm all for it. But I can't vouch for it because I haven't seen it, so sorry. Yeah. No, I'm looking at it. I haven't seen it either. But, you know, if people who are watching it in our chat, I'm guessing that, yeah, it must cover some pretty good discernment stuff. Okay. Yeah, that is the right channel. Okay, cool. Well, give me something to, to watch later on. I'm always into it. Seeing new stuff. Yeah, new stuff. Oh, I mean, it's coming out.
2:17:27 It's actually, it's been out for a little while. I think I met the guy. But I meet a lot of people. So, I don't know. Yeah, Brad meets all sorts of characters. He's a well-connected man, as I've come to find out. I didn't know who, what was his name? There was some guy you had mentioned that you knew. I don't know. He was in a group, a music group. I don't know. There's a few different groups. He just knows so many people. I don't know. He's like, which one is he talking about? Let me think about it. I don't know. I don't know. There's, no. I don't know as many people as you think. It's just I have been put in place by God with a few different areas in life, and so I'm proud to help push the gospel forward, and we'll see where that goes.
2:18:24 I also have the privilege and opportunity to work at another very large ministry, and the problem is, and I'm just going to say this out loud on live air, I'm not going to say where it is yet, but there is a chance that that's not going to happen, because I'm doing this channel. Lots of places don't like that when you are a face of something else, and so we'll see what happens. That could happen, that could not, so keep me in your prayers, because it could be an open door for something much bigger. And that's all we're going to say. Right. Yeah, there's a lot of ministries and just pastor types in general who don't want to touch certain issues, and I don't know why. I don't know what they're afraid of, because, you know, we're supposed to, like, okay, we're also called to bring every thought captive to Christ.
2:19:20 You know? And it's like, that's every thought that you're having, I feel like it can extend into the realm of what are other people thinking? What are other people going through? You know? And how do we reconcile it with the gospel? Like, we shouldn't be afraid of the talk about anything. Right? Like, we should be able to, like, we're here, we're supposed to be representatives, you know, bringing forth the gospel message, ministering. If I'm going to approach someone, and for example, like the UAP stuff, and they're super into aliens, and I'm just like, oh, I don't know about that. Go away, please. You know? Like, what kind of a minister am I if I'm not able to reach out? We're here to talk about last-day spiritualism. And we're here to talk about the dangers of things that can absolutely damage the flock. And people need to know about that. And I think that anybody who any ministry representative that says you need to stop talking about the Bible is not in it for the right reason. And so that's what I'm very concerned about, is going to a ministry and them saying, look, we have a social media clause in our handbook, and you can't talk about Christianity. What is that?
2:20:38 You know? That hasn't happened yet, but I've heard of that happening with other people. And so it's a, you know, it's a concern in this day and age. They don't want you to be effaced, they don't want you to go off the rails on something and be a part of their workplace, which is a litigious excuse, but anybody could do that. You could have an employee, a janitor that works at your ministry, and they could be one of the lead deacons, too, and go off the rails on something. So it's just because it is what it is. It's a shame, too, because at a certain point we're supposed to be able to have our own autonomous nature, right? Like, I don't know. Just because you work for somebody or whatever, it doesn't mean like I'm now everything I do is reflective of the company or that ministry or whatever. It's like, yeah, I'm doing work for it, but it's like, I don't know. It gets a little silly. I think things are so overblown. You know what I think it is? I think we entered this weird age where major corporations would see someone on Twitter would go, oh, I am so outraged and there's going to be a big boycott, and they would get, they have like 10,000 followers, right?
2:21:52 They have 10,000 followers and maybe like 2,000 of them are super hardcore. And they'll say, all right, everybody, write your emails on this day. We are doing a synchronized attack. And then the corporation gets flooded with it for one day and they're like, oh, no. If we've upset 2,000 people, how many people are just so upset, but they haven't emailed? They're not saying anything. Exactly. So they change course on something and it's like, no, it's just this very small vocal minority and everyone else just doesn't care. No one else is even thinking of it as a big deal. I don't know. That's just where we live this day and age. I agree. It's cancel culture. I want to recognize Rogu. Thank you so much for your super chat. That's how we continue this podcast. And thank you everyone who is in the, I see a lot of you here in the live chat, who is in the Discord and on our Patreon. The only way to get on the Discord is through our Patreon system, patreon.com slash strange normal.
2:22:54 patreon.com slash strange normal. I mean, any amount helps right now. And actually, let me tell you, we are actually running a discount for this month alone. We did this last year. We only do it once a year. We're taking 25% off and you can get access to the Discord. This is our Labor Day through Christmas sale. And that's not just one month. That's as long as you keep it. So, keep that in mind. If you thought, hey, you know what, I want to do that, but I just don't want to contribute that much. It's a partnership. We're helping to spread the truth here. And if you want to be a part of this, you can now do that with 25% off. So, go be a part. Patreon.com slash strange normal. They're talking about December though, right? This is only in December. Yeah. Yeah. So, it is not December yet. So, wait until tomorrow if you want to take advantage of that. You don't want people to be upset with you, Brad.
2:23:58 Technically, it's already enabled. So, it's up there right now. But I made it for December itself. And so, if anybody wants to do that, they can. You keep that subscription as long... I mean, you keep that amount and you can keep the Discord for as long as you keep the subscription. So, that's my gift to you for Christmas. Don't say I never gave you anything. Well, what? This is all the way through December? The whole month of December? Because we got a question about that in the chat. Yep. It's not just... Yeah, okay. It's not just a discount for December. It's a discount for as long as you keep the subscription. No. But it is only for December. There you go. That's what we're... I think that's what they're getting at. You can only sign up to it in December. Yes. Yes. I see in the chat... And I answered your question live. Jia. I want to say Jia.
2:24:50 I'm guessing your name is Chinese and I know that there's a lot of pronunciation. It's very specific actually. The reason why like, Chinese is such a difficult language is because you can change the inflection of the word and it means something different. Did you know that? When I found that out, it... Yeah, it blew my mind. Yeah, because if you're saying like one thing like I don't know, or like those are two separate words. Like you're talking about two totally different... As you're speaking, you're structuring the way you're saying the words. That is wild. I think Korean is like that too, if I remember right. Yeah. Well, I was just going to say this person's name, I'm guessing, is... Oh, X-I-A-L-I-M-A. Yeah, if I'm ever going to pronounce it correctly.
2:25:42 But they said... I talk about that with my pastor today. He asked me to share your channel with him. I'm very happy. But I know he won't talk to the church about it. Well, that's fine because if you're giving it to the pastor and he's watching it, feel free to give it to the other people in your church. Anyone who has an interest, obviously you don't have to force this down people's throats, but if you bring this up and they go, wow, that's weird. I haven't heard of that, or this is... I'm into this. Send them the link to the channel. Let them browse it to their heart's content. And as far as that goes, they can also go to StarFallMovie.com. That link is still available, that website. And it goes right to the YouTube of StarFall. And that's a good introduction to what we talk about because sometimes we go straight into other things on this podcast that we assume you are interested in or might know a little bit already about.
2:26:38 And so having StarFall as a background is almost essential to understanding what's happening here. Yeah, good point. Donna Gonzalez said, all gospel music is not godly. We need discernment regarding music we listen to. For instance, gospel rap, for one. So, I... I'll be honest, the type of music that I listen to, I just listen to old hymns. That's all I listen to. Just because I was so into music and just going through all of my favorite, my old favorite artists and favorite bands, there was like this period. It was before I really gave my life to Christ because I was like, I was really struggling along. And I was seeing a lot of the satanic stuff in the world. And I wasn't quite there where I was like ready to give a full surrender because I was still like struggling and wanted to have it my way.
2:27:38 And I'd be like, oh this band, this band has like this beautiful message and I can see how this is about Jesus. They just don't know they're writing music about Jesus. And then I heard... Oh boy. And then me being me, I have to go down the rabbit hole. So I'm like looking up interviews that they did and then all of a sudden this weird thing of like, yeah, yeah, like I made a deal. It's kind of a deal I made with myself where if it comes into my head, I gotta make a song about it. So I'll be like standing there at the sink and all of a sudden I'm just like and then a whole song just flies into my head and then I put it on the album and that's what people listen to. No! Another one! This is more... More Satanists everywhere. So I just had to full stop on anything that wasn't like written before 1900. That's all I listened to. You know, it's fascinating because I did the same thing. I did a full stop on music in Hollywood. We actually made a deal. My wife and I, when we got married, we wouldn't even have TV connected to cable. It helped our progress in life. We actually didn't sit down like couch potatoes and watch all this stuff all the time. We got lots done.
2:28:50 But what I found is really fascinating is in the car. I mean, you're inundated with this no matter where you go. The gym, the grocery store, you hear the music and so you know the music. But in the car, I'll make a conscious effort to listen to... My thing is I will listen to some hymns every once in a while, but usually it's like either orchestral music, either from a long time ago or classical, right? Or it's modern day classical, which is more music scores and stuff. Movie scores. I love movie scores. Some of the passion in that. It's not like it's indoctrinating you with a message because it's non-lyrical. But a lot of that I listen to. Why am I telling everyone this? I don't care. No one cares. This is just something interesting. This is a sharing time, Brad. Yeah. This is Thursday night sharing time.
2:29:52 Or an audiobook. If I get bored, I'm on a long journey, I just put on an audiobook. There's so much else than the terrible radio to turn on because I play the same seven songs over and over again and I get so sick of it. But anyway, that's me. Yeah. I see that Sia has said the pronunciation is Sia. So now I know. So if I see you again, I will know how to pronounce it. See ya. Thank you very much. Hans sang sea shanties. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's like some stuff. So if you like parse it out, I don't know. Like, I haven't listened to this song, but this is something I can think of. It's like a folk song. It's called man, it's by Gordon Lightfoot. I know what it's about. I just want to... I don't know if it's just called...
2:30:51 Hold on. I'm sorry, guys. Yeah, it's the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Do you know what the Edmund Fitzgerald is? It's a... Okay. Well, you will know all about the Edmund Fitzgerald if you listen to the song because that's all it's about. It's like a legitimate folk song that you might hear. Oh, okay. Where it's like chronicling an event and it's really, it's very emotional. I love songs like that. Yeah. That's something... Go ahead. Well, I haven't done a... I was just going to say I haven't done a dive into Gordon Lightfoot and with my luck, what happened was he was like doing a seance and then he talked to... I hope not. He like talked to one of the dead people, right? From the Edmund Fitzgerald and that's how he wrote the song. Yeah, I'm just saying that's just what happens when you look into it. But then that's the type of... You look into that type of thing and I'm like, okay, is this okay? It's like I don't really know.
2:31:47 And you just got to like, you just do your research and sometimes you will feel like you're beating your head against the wall just because of the amount of things that are totally satanic, but I don't know. For me, it's like it's worth it. I would rather know. I'm always that kind of a person where just give it to me straight. I don't want to beat around the bush. Like where are they at? What is this going on? So I can just make a decision. Like I said earlier in the broadcast, I'm all about a decision. I'm an ultimatum type of a guy. I'm like, just let me know so I can go the path I need to go. Very good. Yeah, there's always going to be something out there, and God doesn't ask us to try to figure everything out, but He asks us to do our best with what we got and follow Him. And so people can say, oh, that works. It's not works.
2:32:37 It's not works to follow Him. All you have to do is listen. Read your Bible, pray every day, and share. That's the three main things. I'm going to give it to you straight. If someone's an occultist, I don't want to listen to their music. That's it. It's so simple to me. I don't have to sit here and be like, oh, I have to be obedient to God in this matter. Seriously, it repulses me. It angers me. I get angry because it's like a betrayal. It's like a personal betrayal. I mentioned the Beatles before. I was a huge Beatles fan. When I found out that they were satanically charged, I was angry at the Beatles. I was like, how dare you do this to me? Of course, I threw away all their stuff because I was like, I don't want anything to do with them. Patriot Lynn here in our chat says that she hasn't heard anything bad about Gordon Lightfoot. He even died fairly recently and hasn't heard anything bad. Maybe we can all go and listen to The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald after this.
2:33:41 We can all just enjoy it. No strings attached. A Stutter says, I really struggle with music, specifically Taylor Swift. Then Donna Gonzalez says in response to that one, my grown daughter likes her too. I personally don't listen to the radio. I don't even own one. Taylor Swift, that's tough because I got to give it to you straight. I can't beat around the bush. Like I said, I'm not the kind of guy who wants that treatment, so I don't give that type of a treatment. Taylor Swift is definitely an occultist. She is a witch. It is so obvious when you look at her musical works that she puts out. If you look at her tours, she's labeled herself as a serpent. The list goes on and on. Her costumes are referring back to weird occult stuff.
2:34:33 I'm not going to say you are a bad Christian because you're listening to Taylor Swift or because it's some type of weird snare on you. That is not what I'm here to do. Like I said, I'm here to just tell it to you straight. Taylor Swift definitely falls into that category. Like I was saying, here's my testimony with The Beatles. I loved The Beatles. I loved John Denver, for example, but he was a pantheist. He would beat his wife pretty bad, too. I don't really want to listen to his music necessarily, but I used to love ... My wife and I, we danced. Our first song was a John Denver song. It's not like ... I don't put that song on anymore because it's just ... I ... The association I have with the artist now and just who he is and what he stands for and then to know it's like, okay, that's the type of spirit that was in him and surrounded him, so I just don't want to listen to the music. I don't know. For me, it's very cut and dry. That's not to say I don't struggle with other things. I definitely have my own struggles in life, but when it comes to the music and cutting it out, I can do that pretty hard.
2:35:41 I guess my advice with the Taylor Swift is if you know that it's not good, if you know that it's not edifying, if you know that it's taking you away from God, it's just something you need to talk to with him about. It's something that he is going to lovingly help you with. If you want it out of your life, if you really do want it out of your life, you bring it to God and you just say, I don't want to listen to Taylor Swift anymore because she's in rebellion against you and I don't want to have any fixations on somebody like that. God, like I said, God is a gem moment. God is so respectful of you and your will that if you do come with that heart and you say this is what I want, then he'll do it for you. If there are, I think, restrictions that you still have and you need to work through, it's like God's I don't think he's a weird tyrant who's just going to be like, you're done. You're cut off from Taylor Swift. It has to be a process.
2:36:39 It really is. Sometimes it's a short process. Sometimes it's a longer process. I don't know, but I definitely think prayer helps and just trying to look at it without rose-tinted glasses. Look at it through a real Biblical perspective and that is to say pray for Taylor Swift. If you like her music and you like her as a person, pray for her. We don't know, ultimately, who is going to come to Christ in the end. There must be some major people that do come to Christ because they have been influenced outside of their popularity. I'm still trying to find your song. For some reason, I thought you were talking about The Wellerman. No, I'm not talking about The Wellerman. It's as easy as just... You know that song? Believe me, Brad, I'm familiar with it.
2:37:37 That's what I thought you were talking about. No, I'm not talking about that. I can see you jamming out in your car to that. That's not me. That's not me. Specifically, even the one where it's like they remixed it or had a new version. Maybe a legitimate chorus of old men I'd be listening to. That's just what I'm into. I like authentic stuff that's just, I don't know, the genuine article. That's why when it comes to the hymns, there are certain albums and groups or whatever that I can tell that's like, yeah, I'm into this. I really like it. Yeah, I enjoy it. Julianne is asking, what are your guys' favorite songs? Well, like I said, I really enjoy hymns. A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.
2:38:35 That is excellent. And Can It Be is really wonderful. And Can It Be is a hymn that just speaks to my heart. I'm sure I'm not alone, but that is like when I came to Christ, I had not heard the song And Can It Be, but I started to be like, okay, I'm going to listen to some hymns. I'm going to get into this and this is what I want to listen to. And I stumbled on And Can It Be and it just like, I was reduced to tears listening to that song for the first time. Because I was like, this is me. This is my walk. Like, wow. And it was just so good. Can It Be. That's good. I really have to think about it. I don't know if this is... The first one that came to my mind is Glad by...
2:39:29 Oh, it's called B.E. Glad by Glad. I know it sounds strange. B.E. Glad by Glad. It's a great song. Especially if you get it by the original group. It's a fantastic song. It's one of those songs that has a lot of emotion to it. And by a group of just four guys, four or five guys. And they sing fantastic harmonies about living life and being in the day we are and finding Christ and all that. I really like that song. Good song. Yeah. I like... There are so many good hymns. And it really does depend because some of them are independent sometimes. Some of them are just like, okay, I can listen to whatever.
2:40:21 But other ones are... They offer encouragement. You know what I mean? At certain times, if I'm going through something and I can listen to a certain hymn, it's like, okay, this is just hitting me a different way than something else. There are some contemporary hymns. I said nothing before 1900, but that's not necessarily entirely true. There are some contemporary hymns that I like, like contemporary Christian music. And by that, I mean how deep the Father's love for us. That's a really good one, too. And of course, there's like In Christ Alone, I think, is one of the newer ones that is just another awesome one. Biblically based. There's some of the, I guess... It's funny because what is it? I'm sorry. I can't think of the lyrics right now. There are certain... It's funny because regardless of when it was written, there are certain ones that, I guess, don't align with me doctrinally.
2:41:17 I just have to change one word in it when I'm singing it so that I can get it. I don't know. It's like, when I die, hallelujah, by and by, I'll fly away. I just say, when I rise, hallelujah, by and by. It's like when I rise from the dead. That's for me, in my own personal... It's my own weird quirk, I guess. I can't sing something unless I mean it. I have to do whatever it is to make sure it's in line with my beliefs. Otherwise, I feel like a liar. That's good. Well, I think... Gee... This is... Gee willikers, it's been two hours and forty minutes for our stream. We're approaching that three hour mark.
2:42:09 Didn't feel like it. We're just having a great time, I think. We've had this on the screen the whole time, this weird demonic picture. Some people have come in who didn't see that. They're just catching the last... Why is this on the screen? They're talking about hymns, and they're looking at these two demonic figures on the screen. What does this have to do with the hymns? That's great. Alrighty. Well, I think we're going to pray. We're going to pray on out of here. Thank you, everyone, for watching. Let's... Let's say a prayer. Let's do it.
2:42:57 Heavenly Father, thank you so much for another amazing opportunity to come here, broadcast live to such a wonderful audience. We really are blessed with a great community of believers. We just want this message to go out to more and more people. As you're coming, as it's just rapidly approaching, I agree with Brad earlier. He said that he believes it'll be in his lifetime. I believe that we stand a very real chance to be that generation that doesn't pass away, Lord. So we ask that you keep us close. I want to offer a special prayer to the member of our live chat, A. Sutter, who said they're struggling with the Taylor Swift music. I think it says a lot, just to drop that in the live chat, that you're struggling with that. It shows that there's something on their heart, and I want to pray for them specifically, and lift them up, and just ask that you help deliver them from that snare, and just bring them into a loving relationship with you. Bring us all into a more loving relationship with you, Lord. Truly fill our lamps with oil.
2:44:07 We can't get enough. Thank you so much. In Jesus' name, Amen. Amen. Thank you, Matthew. That was a fantastic presentation. I appreciate it. And thank everyone else for watching. Make sure you hit that like button. Give us a comment, especially tell us where in the world did you find this crazy podcast that talks about the strange events that happen in your normal life. You want to do an outro? Yeah, I think I'll do a little outro. Let's see. You know, draw nigh unto God, and He will draw nigh unto you. Stay close to the fireside. Thank you, we love you, and good night.
