God did not save them from the tribulation. He saved them through the tribulation. The Bible says, the angel of the Lord encamps round about those that fear him and delivers them. The children of Israel were in Egypt when these plagues fell. Great time of trouble came on Egypt, but God protected them through the plagues. In the last days, God's people will be in the world.
