Ellen White & The Strange Spiritualism of the 1800s.

0:00 I'd like to dig into something that I think is pretty strange that happened in history. Something that every theologian thinks and considers to be a very spiritual event, regardless of their faith. In the 1800s, there was suddenly a very strange and renewed interest in a deeper study of the Bible. When a group of all faiths, particularly Methodists, Baptists, and the Millerite movement were studying together, spiritual powers were pressing from every side. And as a result, an interesting group of people came about. These group of people were called the Adventists, the Adventist church particularly. This group came from many faiths to study the error that the Baptist minister William Miller made in the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. Together, they came to the conclusion that we are not set on earth to do whatever we feel. And God has the law of love that he has set in place for those who love him. This law doesn't get us into heaven by works, but those who love the Lord will love their neighbor, and love their God if they are in that saved state. In this way, they begin to keep the seventh day Sabbath because they were saved, not to be saved. But they had not incorporated as a church yet. And this is where it gets really strange. And I'll be very honest here, this is going to be a little bit normal. I'll explain that in a moment. Hazen Foss was not an Adventist, but he began to receive dreams and visions from God, but he refused to share them. He had been hurt by the confusion of the Bible. He had been hurt by the confusion of the Bible. He had been hurt by the confusion in this time period of the great awakening, and he suppressed these incredible things that God was showing him. On the same manner, William Foy, an African American Baptist minister, began having the same visions and dreams that he believed were from God as well. And at the same time, Ellen G. White also began having the same exact visions that were given to Foss and Foy. So after Foss heard White's recount of her vision in a public meeting, he stated that he believed God had given him the vision that he gave him. And he said, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.

1:55 gave to White, and he stopped giving him the vision. Ellen White went on to help start the Seventh-day Adventist movement, not as a leader, but as one of many organizers of the faith. And if you've been watching this channel for a while, you will have heard me quote from some Bible commentary. Sometimes this is White's writings, for she wrote a lot of Bible commentary, and 100,000 pages to be exact. Although she never claimed to be a prophet, she clearly had some interesting things to say that we see coming true right now. She is the only prophetic writer whom has written about some of these strange things regarding UAP and NHI, the things we talk about on this channel, things that are coming to pass right now in our government. So it's just obvious that we're going to cover this stuff, not because I believe it or it's my faith, which it is, but it's also interesting to cover for someone that's not of the same faith. Some of the things that she said about this stuff, it's covered. But I'll recount them right here just so we can recap what she says about this strange event that's happening in our current time period. She says, Fearful sights of a supernatural character will soon be revealed in the heavens in the token and power of miracle-working demons. The spears of devils will go forth to the kings of the earth and to the whole world to fasten them in the deception and urge them on to unite with Satan in his last struggle against the government of heaven. By these agencies, rulers and subjects will be alike deceived. She also goes on to say about the people that are misled at the end of time, when they have been led to believe that the dead actually returned to communicate with them. By the way, this is called necromancy. Satan causes those to appear who went into the grave unprepared. They claim to be happy in heaven and even occupying exalted positions there. And thus the error is widely taught that there is no difference between the righteous and the wicked.

3:53 The pretended visitants from other worlds, in other words, pretended ETs, sometimes utter cautions and warnings which prove to be correct. Then as confidence is gained, they present doctrines that directly undermine the faith of the scriptures. She's focusing and saying, look, scripture is the most important thing here. Also in some of her prophetic visions, she said things like, transgression has almost reached its limit. Confusion fills the world as she sees what's happening here. And she says, The end is very near. God's people should be preparing for what is about to break upon the world as an overwhelming surprise. And that's kind of what we talk about on this channel. We want to understand what that overwhelming surprise might be. We might not have everything, but we're getting close. She goes on to say in another passage, By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, the United States will disconnect herself, fully from righteousness, when Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf and grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its constitution as a Protestant and Republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions. We may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan, and that the end is near. Now, she's not saying that Satan's marvelous as we speak. She's saying this is something to marvel at, because people are just going to be bewildered by what is going on in this world. What a marvel it will be to see all this come to pass in our lifetime. I truly believe it, folks. So what does the Bible say about modern day prophecies? Modern prophet visions and dreams are truly amazing. Imagine if someone could see the future and understand mysteries of our world and tell the world what they see through God's eyes. But are all prophets true prophets?

5:58 The Bible clearly says, beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. False Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders and deceive, if possible, even the elect. Do you remember Heaven's Gate? Heaven's Gate was a UFO cult in the 1970s by Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles, whom considered themselves prophets. In 1996, their supposed prophetic ideas convinced people that a spaceship was following the Hale-Bopp comet and would soon take them into this new realm. 39 members canceled themselves from reality by drinking the Kool-Aid, quite literally. Many false prophets looked for power, money, or sex, and true prophets will not ask you for your credit card number. There are some false prophet characteristics that are condemned in the Bible. In Deuteronomy 18.20, witchcraft, soothsaying, interpretation, and the like. In Deuteronomy 18.20, witchcraft, soothsaying, interpretation, and the like. Necromancers, those worshipping the dead, even talking to the dead. Astrologers, numerology. Now, if there are false prophets, could there be true prophets? So the Bible says in Amos 3.7, surely the Lord will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets unto the servants, the prophets.

7:16 It's interesting to me that before major events, God has always sent his prophets to give us warning. Before the Messiah, God has always sent his prophets to give us warning. And did God raise up a prophet before the flood? Yeah, Moses. Did God send Jonah before the destruction of Nineveh? So even though these conditional prophets did not be fulfilled for Nineveh, God still sent Jonah, right? So do you believe God would send us a message before the last days, before the final destruction of the earth? I do. And so I'm not only going to be watching for it, looking at past scriptures and texts, but also looking forward to something else that might come too, and carefully and considerably looking at it through the eyes of the word of God. The Bible says, it shall come to pass in the last days that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions. Your old men shall dream dreams. That's Acts 2.17. And it goes on further, and he gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some... Some pastors, some teachers. It says he gave them prophets. So in all faiths, you have teachers, right? There are teachers in those faiths. In all faiths, you've got pastors, priests, different things that they might call them. In all faiths, you might have evangelists. So then what happened to prophets? Why did it stop here? Why not continue on?

8:42 The Bible says that we are given these until we have come into the unity of the faith. Ephesians 4.13, it goes on. It says, till we all come to the unity of faith, and to the knowledge of the Son of God, to the perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. We are not there yet, folks. So we still need prophecy. The thing that I think everyone worries about, though, is does this prophetic message supersede the Bible? And that, my friends, is a big no. I don't think anything should supersede the Bible. But according to the Bible, God's end-time church will have a spirit of prophecy. In Revelation 12, it says, and the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. What in the world is the testimony of Jesus Christ? Well, the Bible tells us in Revelation 19 that this is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19.10 says, worship God for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. The Bible interprets itself, friends. At the end of time, the saints who enraged the dragon keep the commandments of God, and they have the spirit of prophecy. These are the ones that get to go to heaven. These are the saints the Bible talks about in Revelation 14.12. There will be a church in the last days that has the spirit of prophecy, a prophetic message. So it says, behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. That's Malachi 4.5. Elijah the prophet is coming?

10:21 This was a dual prophecy, because the Elijah that it was talking about is John the Baptist. But there will be more prophetic events before the end of time, because Jesus says, Elijah has come already, and Elijah will come in Matthew 17.12. So in what ways does God speak through a true prophet, assuming we can find one? Well, numbers 12.6 and 8 say visions, dreams, and face-to-face. Zechariah 4.1 says angels can come and deliver that message to them. So I think it's important that when someone comes and says they have received a vision or a dream, that we don't just immediately write them off, but we test them first. Ellen White was born in 1827. She had some serious health issues. She could not even finish the third grade because of everything that she went through. And yet she went on to write 5,000 periodicals, 50,000 manuscripts, and 100,000 handwritten pages of other manuscripts. It appeared that God chose the weakest of the weak to deliver a message. In fact, the Library of Congress has recognized Ellen White as the fourth most translated author in the world, the most translated female author in the entire world, and the most translated American author in the entire world. And are you ready for something really strange? In 1845, Dr. Drummond, a local physician, examined Ellen White during one of her visions. He tested her. She was in a physical state by holding a mirror close to her mouth to check for breathing and pressing heavily on her chest. Despite his efforts, he found no signs of normal breathing. And Ellen White remained unaffected by the pressure, which led him to conclude that there was no natural explanation for her condition. Now, in 1868, Dr. Brown, who was not a believer in Ellen White's prophetic gift, attended one of her meetings in Parksville, Michigan, where she went into vision.

12:18 During the vision, Dr. Brown conducted a, series of tests to understand her condition. He tried various methods, such as examining her eyes, her pulse, and her breathing. To his astonishment, he found that she did not exhibit any signs of normal breathing, and her eyes were not responding to light. Despite these signs of what would typically be a non-functional state, Ellen White appeared healthy and animated. The inability to find a natural explanation for her condition during the vision deeply unsettled Dr. Brown. Overwhelmed by what he observed, he became frightened, and he left the room, unable to explain what the phenomena was that he had witnessed. So, imagine seeing Daniel in vision in the last days in the Bible. Dr. D.H. Kress also examined Ellen White during this vision. He reported that she exhibited no signs of breathing, and her pulse remained regular and strong. Dr. Kress, who was familiar with the medical conditions and psychological phenomena, was convinced that her state was beyond natural explanation. While in vision, Ellen White was completely unaware of what was going on in her body. Dr. Kress, who was completely insensible to her surroundings. People could touch her, move her, or even apply pressure without eliciting a response. But she also reported to be unaffected by light and other sensory stimuli, which would normally cause a reaction. There were also supernatural events surrounding her. During a vision at the meeting of Topsham, Maine, Ellen White reportedly held a large family Bible, which weighed about 18 pounds above her head, for around 20 to 30 minutes. The Bible was a little heavier than a normal person's head. The Bible is a little bit lighter than a normal person's head. But it was a little heavier than a normal person's head. Back then, when you had books, they were enormous. I mean, they were big books, not these little cards you get in the mail today. These things were massive because they didn't have the technology to print out the small little sheets that we have. So they had them in giant books with giant print off the printing press. So when someone would carry this thing, it would be like carrying a 20-pound book around that was this thick. So can you imagine a friend, frail, five-foot-tall woman picking up the book, holding it above her head towards you, and then pointing and reciting scripture from the opposite side. Witnesses stated that she pointed at specific verses on the pages while looking upward and recited them accurately, despite not being able to see the text. Several eyewitnesses provided testimonies about this event.

14:44 They described how Ellen White, who was of slight build and had no unusual physical strength, managed to hold a heavy Bible with ease and point to the exact scriptures without looking. These witnesses were often deeply impressed and saw the events and evidence of divine intervention. So how do we know what Ellen White experienced was from God and not from some other evil entity? The Bible gives us some tests of a prophet. Isaiah 8.20 To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to them, there is no light in them. The pinnacle books in her five-book series, which is one of many, many, many books she wrote. She said, by the scriptures, every miracle must be tested. So we have to ask ourselves, is a prophet's message supposed to be held on the same level as the Bible? I don't think so. I mean, for instance, there are many prophets in the Bible that didn't get their own book in the Bible. They may have a message for that specific time period, or maybe it just wasn't relevant for the rest of society.

15:42 For whatever reason, it's not there. Who am I talking about? Well, check this out. The Bible says, As the sun stood still and the moon stayed, until people had avenged themselves upon the enemies, is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and hastened not to go down around the whole day. That's in Joshua 10.13. So where's your book of Jasher? There's no book of Jasher in the Bible. This prophet guy who wrote apparently a book and talked about it, he's not even in the Bible. Or how about this? Now the act of King David, first and last, indeed, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer. Okay, we got Samuel. In the book of... Nathan, the prophet. No Nathan. And the book of Gad, the seer. The book of Gad? Oh man, these seers and prophets aren't even in the Bible. That's in 1 Chronicles 29.29. And what about Shemaiah the prophet and Ido, the seer?

16:33 The act of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet and Ido, the seer, concerning genealogies? That's 2 Chronicles 12.15. Another chest of the true prophet is, of course, 1 John 4.2. By this you know the Spirit of God. Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God. And she wrote in Desire of Ages, page 20, Absolutely. Christ Jesus is Lord. Ellen G. White wrote on the Bible, The Holy Scriptures are to be accepted as the authoritative, infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the revealer of doctrines, and the test of experience. That's Great Controversy, page 7. Another test of the prophet are their fruits. Matthew 7.16. Know them by their fruits. Jim Jones led people to death.

17:28 David Koresh led people to a fiery death. It says false prophets usually get in trouble because of the money and the honey. So stay away from power, sex, and greed. But the New York Independent wrote about Ellen White when she died on August 23, 1915. Ellen White showed no spiritual pride. And sought no filthy lucre. She lived the life and did the work of a worthy prophetess. The most admirable of the American succession. Anybody know who James Dobson is? Paul Harvey. She was endorsed by both of them. Paul Harvey says, Women have been honored on American postage stamps for more than 100 years. In 1893, since then, 86 women have been honored. Ranging from Martha Washington to Marilyn Monroe. Also, many women authors.

18:15 But I can name an American woman author who has never been honored thus. Though her writings have been translated into 148 languages. Even more than Shakespeare. Only now is the world coming to appreciate her recommendations and prescriptions for optimal spiritual and physical health. Ellen White. You don't know her? Get to know her. So what's the fourth test of a prophet? Well, Jeremiah says, When the word of the prophet comes to pass, the prophet will be known as the one whom the Lord has sent. So, if the Lord sent the prophet to give a message, it will come to pass. So in 1902, Ellen White wrote that San Francisco, Oakland will suffer greatly. That's Life Sketches, page 412. And in 1906, in Testimonies, Volume 9, she wrote it again saying there's some serious issues coming to Oakland and San Francisco.

19:06 Two days after she wrote that, the San Francisco earthquake took place. I believe that she's talking about 9-11 when she wrote in her book, Testimonies, Volume 9, starting on page 11. On one occasion, in New York City, I was in the night season, called upon to behold buildings rising story after story towards the heaven. You know, back then, they didn't have big buildings that were skyscrapers in the air. They had just enough technology to build about five stories in the air. She said these buildings were warranted to be fireproof, and they were erected to glorify their owners and builders. Higher and still higher these buildings rose, and in them, the most costly material was used. The next scene that passed before me was an alarm of fire. Men looked at the lofty, supposedly fireproof buildings and said, they are perfectly safe. But these buildings were consumed as if they were made of pitch. I mean, it's really amazing to think about, because when you see these buildings come down, it almost looks as if something's pressing down on it, as if it's made of pitch consumed.

20:06 It pours off the sides as pitch pours off. She even goes on to say the fire engines could do nothing to stay the destruction. When these buildings came down, underneath the rubble was the fire trucks. They couldn't do anything. They were destroyed, along with the lives of many firefighters. The firemen, she says, were unable to operate the engines. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? She also said about the Catholic Church, in a time when the Catholic Church didn't have too much power and was not apologizing for anything it was doing, she said the Roman Church now presents itself a fair and front to the world, covering with apologies her record of horrible cruelties. That's in Great Controversy, page 571. And we know what's going on right now. The Pope's going around apologizing to everyone and trying to bring everyone closer together, all these different religions closer together, so they can form the final battle against God.

21:00 And she also predicted the rise of spiritualism in the Christian Church, even though it's explicitly said that necromancy, talking to the dead, believing the dead go on somewhere, is somehow a part of the Bible. This is not true. But she said this is going to be one of the major, major events that's going to happen at the end. People will believe that they are speaking to their dead loved ones. They will believe that you can communicate with the dead somehow. This will happen in Christianity. So 1 Thessalonians 5.20 says, Do not despise these prophecies. Test all things. Hold fast to what is good. Since God speaks through the prophets, and we can see that he still speaks through the prophets today, there have been prophets, and there will be prophets. And you have to test these prophets with the Bible. I believe we will see prophets even in the future. So how do we know what is true? Only through the word of God. And you're going to see that a lot of what was written back then is unfolding and fulfilling right before our eyes. So get ready. A seer is actually the ancient or first word for prophet. Somebody who saw things in a different way than we see them today. They basically saw spiritually. And one of the persons who a lot of people contest whether they're a prophet or a seer or not, lived over a hundred years ago. And she wrote something really, really interesting in 1903. And I want to show you that right now. It says there on your screen, as we near the close of time, there will be greater and still greater external parade of heathen power. Heathen deities will manifest their signal power and will exhibit themselves before the cities of the world, and this delineation has already begun to be fulfilled. Now this was written in 1903. So I was like, this is really interesting. So she's saying that people are already seeing supernatural things like in front of the cities. So what record do we have of that actually taking place? And so I did some digging and I found this. Check this out. So in 1896, in the Stockton Evening Mail, there was a crazy story. And there you see the title of the book. It's called The Seer of the Seer. And it's a book about the history of the city of Stockton.

And the title of the story is Three Strange Visitors Who Possibly Came from the Planet Mars. This is 1896, November 27 public. This is crazy. So what it is, is there's this colonel by the name of H.G. Shaw. Okay, and so he's riding in his buggy, and the story goes that he's riding his buggy just outside of Lodi, California. And as he's riding into his buggy, all of a sudden, his horses stop, and he looks to the left and then he sees this 150-foot, silvery looking ship he calls it an airship and it was 25 feet wide and he said there was three really gangly and skinny almost seven feet tall figures standing there and he's like freaked out by this so he's trying to get the horses to go and the horses stop moving and then all of a sudden the three of those creatures they walk over to him and they start inspecting him and the horse and he's like no i gotta get out of here and he starts like you know giving the hiya to the horses and then all of a sudden they started grabbing like becky come inside the ship and he's like no i don't want to go and then they like physically to grab him but he like asserts his physicality and then they're like okay we're leaving beep beep and then they're like and he said they were making like a warbling noise this is all in the article and then you run back to the ship and the ship takes off and flies away okay so this is in the stockton evening mail and basically these supernatural heathen deities appeared to him and so i was like wow this is crazy because this is like seven years before she wrote what she wrote she said it's already happening and this is an instance of it already happening but she said it was going to increase and so has it been increasing well here's an article from from the new york times check this out this is the new york times and in the new york times it says here they are not alone ufo reports surged in the pandemic ufo reports surged during the pandemic absolutely absolutely wild so we know that they're increasing just like she said they would so my question that i want to answer today is why why did she know the things that she knew and how did she know these sightings would increase what insight gave her like the clue in as to what she knew um and why she knew it right so we're actually going to do start off with the bible because i believe that's the best place to start we're going to we're going to look at the scriptures and go really deep so i'm asking you to put on your biblical scuba gear and your thinking in the description and um go deep with me because this is going to be a really really interesting ride so we all know about this guy right who's that brad might be moses that is moses okay and the bible says in deuteronomy 34 10 that moses was a prophet it says and there has not arisen a prophet since in israel like moses whom the lord knew face to face so moses was a prophet okay but there was something special about him Well, what's interesting, and not a lot of people know this, his brother and sister were also prophets.

27:38 Miriam and Aaron were also prophets. Exodus 15, 20 says, Miriam the prophetess. And Exodus 7, verse 1 says, Aaron also shall be thy prophet. So they were both prophets. And so this contention develops where Moses is kind of running things. And then his brother and sister are like, hey, we're also prophets too. We can be leaders just like you. And so they have this kind of little fight, especially after Moses, he marries this girl named Zipporah. And she's got darker skin. They have a problem with that. And it's really funny because the way that God fixes it is he makes Miriam even whiter by giving her leprosy, right? But anyway, it's really comedic in a certain sense. But God calls all three of them to the tabernacle. And he's like, I need to have some words with you guys. And I want you to notice these words that God has with them. In Numbers 12, verse 6. To 7, it says, And so when I share this presentation, I usually ask, is God saying that Moses is similar to other prophets or is he different?

28:56 Is it a comparison or a contrast? Oh, I see. According to what you see. I see. Well, it's not so. So it's different. Exactly. He's different. Moses is a prophet, but he's also something more. Okay? There's something else going on with Moses. He's like, listen, you guys have your prophetic office, but Moses, your brother, there's a difference between what he is and what you guys are. And so, like, I was wondering how to explain this. And I actually have a relative who's in the United States Marine Corps. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. He reached the seventh of the ninth ranks. He was a gunnery sergeant. And so I know a little bit about the ranks, but it's interesting because the highest ranking I think that you can ever achieve in the armed forces is a five-star general.

29:45 Right? A five-star general. Now, technically speaking, you're still a soldier when you're a five-star general. Right? But a five-star general has only happened like three times in history, and it means you're a commander of the Army, the Marines, the Navy, the Air Force. And I guess now the Space Force as well. You're the commander of everything. Isn't that the president, though? Right? That's the president does have that authority, but the five-star general only happens in certain situations in wartime. So it's only happened like three times in history from what I've read, right, where this one person commands everything. Okay. So now that guy is super-duper powerful. And if I just called him a soldier, though, which he is, would that really encompass everything? Yeah. Encompass everything that he does? Ah, I see. Right? If I called him a soldier, hey, soldier, and he's like a five-star general, of course not.

30:37 Right? He is a soldier, but he's also something much more than just a soldier. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So that's kind of like what Moses is. Okay? But let me go forward because the Bible says in the witness of two or three things shall be established. Right? So was anybody else more than a prophet? Well, let's look at Jesus' words in Matthew chapter 7, verse 27. There he says, But what went you out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. This is he of whom it is written, I said, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Okay, who is Jesus talking about here? Yeah, he was talking about John the Baptist.

31:28 John the Baptist, you are correct. You are correct. So he's talking about John the Baptist. Now, why is he saying that John is also more than a prophet, like Moses is more than a prophet? What do John and Moses have in common? Let's take a look. They are both what I like to call messengers, or what the Bible calls messengers. Okay? Moses, his words show up as the first five books of Old Testament history. John's words show up in the first five books of New Testament history. Moses was face-to-face with God on Mount Sinai. When he reached, when he received the Ten Commandments, John was face-to-face with Jesus when he was in the Jordan, right? Moses shows up at the end of the 400 year time prophecy that Abraham prophesied. John the Baptist, he shows up at the end of the 69 week prophecy from Daniel chapter nine. Moses, the Bible says in first Corinthians chapter 10 verse two, that he baptized the children of Israel when they went through the Red Sea.

32:25 Okay. So John, he baptized people. In the Jordan River, right? Just like Moses baptized people through the Red Sea, John baptized people. He's the John the Baptist. That's what he's known for. Moses, he prepared the way for God to arrive in the tabernacle that he prepared. And John prepared the way for Jesus to arrive at the tab, the temple in Jerusalem. Okay. And so Moses shows up at the beginning of Judaism. It's a new faith, a new system of faith that begins when he shows up. Okay. And then John the Baptist shows up right at the beginning of Christianity. Okay. So this is, this is some, some of the qualifications of a messenger. Um, do you have a question? No, no, keep going. This is interesting. Yeah. Yeah. So, so this is really cool that I, I mean, there's more things that messengers do, but I'm just starting there for now.

33:18 Okay. There's this parallel of people who are more than a prophet, but let's look for more evidence. Okay. Let's look for much more evidence. All right. So, uh, why are messengers considered? Okay. Why are messengers considered to be more than a prophet? You can also find this idea in the new Testament, Ephesians chapter four, verse 11. It says, and he gave some apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors and teach. So these are the spiritual gifts that you have your, your local church. Now, a lot of people take these names and you were the place, everybody's a Bishop, everybody's an apostle. But specifically speaking, if you look at the order that these, these are listed in, it's kind of typically listed in order of a. Um, importance. And if you, if you think about it, like today, uh, a teacher usually teaches like, uh, a Sunday school class or a Sabbath school class at a local church. Right. A pastor, he's usually got a couple of different churches. So he's got a district, um, an evangelist.

34:15 He's usually statewide. Right. Um, he usually bounces around for the entire state, uh, an evangel, uh, excuse me, a prophet. He was usually brought to the nation, particularly in the terms of, uh, Israel. It was usually a national type role and apostle is usually an international role. Many of the apostles after they left Israel, they went all over the world. Okay. And so just in terms of the scope of their geography, you can see that it's kind of like eight, the largest to the smallest. Right. But when you look at that word, apostle in Greek, it's Apple Stolos, right. And the synonym for that is messenger. It's it's, it's messenger. So the one spiritual gift. That's a bigger role than profit. Everybody's arguing in John's day and in Moses day as to whether those guys were prophets, but they didn't realize that it was a bigger question.

35:09 Those guys were actually messengers or Apple Stolos or apostles. Okay. So, so you had to have had face-to-face interaction with Jesus in order to be an apostle. And we're going to look at that more in just a second, but that's what makes it a higher role than a prophet. It's that's what he says to Moses in the mountain. I speak to him face-to-face. Okay. Not just in a vision or in a dream. Okay. Are you, are you, are you there with me? You're tracking with me so far. I'm fascinating because this, this is something I haven't heard before. I think I know where you're going with this. I told you, that's what I'm saying. Nobody, this is like a very unique view. And so, um, I haven't seen anybody else present. This is something that God shared with me and I'm just, I share it with people whenever they ask me to. So what's really cool is that what you'll notice is that John and Jesus have pretty much the same words. John shows up.

35:58 And he says, repent, she, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Then the chapter right after John, uh, not long after that, he goes to jail and Jesus, what does Jesus say? Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. So they pretty much have the exact same words. The messenger is literally saying the words of the one that sent him. Okay. And so the key point there is that a messenger is God's highest level of human communication because it's direct. Okay. That's, that's the thing that I want you to. Understand the messenger is literally hearing from God directly, and he's relaying that information. So the integrity of the message is the highest. When a person has that office, when they genuinely have that office of a messenger. Okay. So what does that mean? Stay with me. Does the Bible predict there'll be other messengers that will come in the future?

36:48 Now, this is where we're going to do a little bit of thinking here because the Bible talks about Matthew chapter 24. There's signs of the end, and there's a whole bunch of different signs. There's famines. Pestilence, earthquakes, the gospel going to the world, um, false Christ. And by the way, if my sound cuts out, just, just let me know. Sure. Wars of wars, uh, persecutions, false prophets, eating, drinking, marrying supernatural sites. And I want to suggest to you also messengers are one of those indicators. Okay. But what most people don't know is that Matthew 24 is actually a dual, duly fulfilling prophecy, right? So. What happens is at the end. At the end of Jerusalem is also what's tied to the end of the world. Okay. So, so, so the way that Jerusalem would be destroyed is a type or a figure of what would happen to the entire world.

And I, I just need to show you four examples of that really quickly because the stuff that happened on the way towards the destruction of Jerusalem happened on the way towards the destruction of this world or the end of this world. Okay. So like, um, famines, if you look at famines. In acts chapter 11, verse 28. It talks about. There were. Famines happening on the way up to 80, 70, right? And then the, um, the Roman historian Tacitus, what he says is this year witnesses, many projects, prodigies and omens and signs and the shortage of corn resulting in famine. It was established that there was no more than 15 days supply of food left in the city of Rome. So that's Roman historian. And then the, uh, Tacitus, so there was a huge famine back then. Okay. But is there a famine today? Well, yeah, according to this group called, um, the world food program and Oxfam, they say there's currently 30 million people living.

38:39 Uh, in food scarcity, mainly in Rwanda, Sudan, Somalia, Mali, and Burkina Faso, and also in certain parts of, um, Eastern Europe. Okay. So famines back then famines right now, not only that, but there was pestilence 80, 65. It says this is Josephus. He says on the sixth year, a pestilence came upon those at Babylon, which occasioned a new removal of, um, men's habitations out of that city. And because they came to Seleucia, it happened that a still heavier calamity came upon them that on that account, which I am going to relate immediately. Excuse me. So there was always, there was like a huge sickness that were sicknesses that were spreading. This is not the only one, by the way, but you can see that there were major pandemics happening now. I don't have to tell everybody here that that's part of what we're experiencing right now. We literally just came out probably the biggest pandemic that everybody can, can remember in, in, uh, living history.

39:38 Okay. Earthquakes, um, earthquakes were crazy back then. Most people don't know this, but I'm just going to show you real quick. It says here, perhaps at no period in the world's history has ever been so marked by these convulsions as that which intervenes between the crucifixion and the destruction of Jerusalem. This is Charles Escott. A historian from the 19th century. And he's like, listen, that time had the most earthquakes. We like, there was just loaded with earthquakes. Okay. Um, not only that, but again, uh, Tacitus below that he said this year, 50 AD witnessed many projects and signs, including repeated earthquakes. So they had crazy bigger wakes on the, on the way up to 80, 70. And today this is a headline from NBC news. It says worldwide surge in great earthquakes seen in the past 10 years. Now that article is from 2014. But we've been tracking earth, big earthquakes since then this year, I think there was like one in Turkey and a couple other places, but we kind of gotten used to them.

40:34 So major earthquakes being more and more frequent, like birth pains is a thing that, that ties with the end of the world. And then, uh, the gospel going to the world. Colossians one verse 23 says, if you continue in the faith grounded and be settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which he had heard and which was preached to every creature, which is under heaven. And that's around the area of Israel and Jerusalem, the gospel actually did go out to pretty much the most of the then known world. But you look at today, um, this, uh, this group here, AFM, they say that there's nearly 7,000 unreached people groups representing more than 2 billion people in this world with the gospel. So, so the wasp was still going out. We have yet to fulfill that calling as it was fulfilled in the day of, of, of Paul. So basically what I'm just trying to show you guys really quickly. Because I can go through more details than this, but what I'm trying to show you is basically everything that happened in the buildup to the destruction of Jerusalem happens in the buildup to the end of this world.

41:33 So there's like dual fulfillment of everything. Um, Jesus says, do you see those stones? They're going to be destroyed and then I'm going to return. And so Jesus didn't return back in 80, 70, but Jerusalem did get destroyed, but he's going to return back in this day and age and this world is going to be destroyed. So let's look a little bit more at what the next prophecy evidence we have is. So one of the next, one of the interesting prophecies that we see in, in Matthew 7, 27 was when Jesus said, this is the one about whom it is written, behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you who will prepare your way before you. We already said that that was John the Baptist, right? And John was a messenger that was prophesied to come. So here's the question. How did they know? How did Jesus know a messenger was coming before he was coming? If you go to Malachi chapter three, verse one, it tells us there's a prophecy, Old Testament prophecy, the last book of the Old Testament, it says, behold, I will send my messenger and he shall prepare the way before me and the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly come to his temple.

42:39 Even the messenger of the covenant whom you delight in, behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. So the idea is that John is supposed to show up and prepare the way for Jesus. And that's what he did. He started his ministry six months before Jesus. And everybody was really interested in preaching and spiritual things. And then John points to Jesus and he says, hey, that's the guy you got to focus on. Okay. So why is the messenger coming? Well, there's a bit more of a reason. I want you to show, I want to show you this real quickly. This verse here, behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And so what's the significance of that? What is the day of the Lord? Well, if you go to. Malachi four verse one, it says, for behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven and all the proud. Yet all that do wickedly shall be stubble.

43:32 And that day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. What was that day of burning in the first fulfillment? It was the destruction of Jerusalem. Okay. Jerusalem was burned up by fire. Okay. So how did you escape the fire? If you listen to the messenger to John. Then that would mean. You would eventually listen to Jesus. And if you listen to Jesus, Jesus told you it was time to get out of the city when Cestius surrounded the city, when the abomination is there. And all the Christians that, for example, they were safe from that burning. And that makes sense. Yeah, they were safe from all that burning fire. I got you. You broke up a little bit, but yeah, I totally understand because it's a progression of events here that you had to follow. If you accept one, you'll accept the other, which is something message. Exactly, exactly.

44:24 So now just stay with me. We're, we're about to start getting into the supernatural stuff, but I just got to lay this foundation. Okay. So if you read that, obviously this burning happened and that's the day of burning that John was preparing everybody for, it says there in Malachi four verse one, it's the day that she'll burn as an oven and all the proud and all the do wickedly shall be stubble. Now, did that really happen? Did all the pride proud. Yeah. That will ever live, burn up in the, in the, in the fires of Jerusalem. No, of course not. Right. So could it be that there's another day of fire, which is to come? I'd like to suggest to you, and I think Peter would also like to suggest to you that there is, it says there in second Peter chapter three, verse 10, but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with great noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat and the earth also, and the works that are therein shall be burned up. So this time it's not just Jerusalem. That's going to burn up. It's the entire world. Right. So if there's another day of burning, I'm asking the question, could there have be another messenger? Right. Could there be another messenger? So, so let's look at it like in terms of like a graph.

45:39 So there's an Elijah who's that's supposed to come and he's supposed to prepare the way so that you can avoid the day of burning. And when it comes to the end of Jerusalem, it was John the Baptist who was Elijah and he prepared the way for the Messiah. His first advent, which helped you avoid the temple fire. So my simple question is, could it be that there's another Elijah to come, which prepares you for the second advent, which is that globe just before that global fire, which is to take place. Right. It's pretty logical. Just like Matthew 24 has a dual application. I believe that, uh, Malachi chapter three, uh, verse yeah. Malachi chapter three and four has a dual application. So the simple question is this. Who is that? Final messenger that should come before the day of the Lord. All right. Now, many people are like, yeah, but you know, there's all these false prophets and stuff like that.

46:31 And you're a hundred percent, right. Okay. Because Jesus actually did warn, be careful, many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many. And there shall be false Christ and false prophets. But watch this, think about this. Why didn't Jesus just say avoid all profits? Unless some of them were real, right? Right. He could have said, avoid everything. Every single, anybody that claims to be a prophet, just, just avoid them. But he doesn't do that. He says, avoid false prophets because the operative word is false. Meaning potentially there might be true ones, right? You don't want to throw out the baby with the bath water. Okay. So, so let's take a look at this. What does that mean? Now people might say, okay, I know where you're going. Are you calling Ellen white then a prophetess? Are you saying she's like prophetess?

47:20 Well, you'll be surprised to know. That the answer is no. Look at what she says here. I do not claim to be a prophetess. If I spoke otherwise than this, let all now understand that what I had in mind to say was that I do not claim the title of prophet or prophetess. And you're like, what? Okay. So what is she saying? Watch what she's saying. She clarifies this statement. Here she goes. My commission embraces the work of a prophet, but it does not end there. It embraces much more than the minds of those who have been sowing the seeds of unbelief can comprehend. Okay. Watch this next statement. She says, my work includes much more than this name. Prophet signifies. I regard myself as a messenger. Wow. Trusted by the Lord with messages for his people and find one final one early in my youth.

48:17 I was asked several times. Are you a prophet? I have ever responded. I am. I am the Lord's messenger. I have called me a prophet, but I have made no claim to this title. My savior declared me to be his messenger. Your work. He did me is to bear my word. Okay. So now this is deep because she's saying that Jesus told her she's a messenger and that's actually the qualifications for what a messenger is. You didn't just receive a vision or a dream. Jesus verbally tells you you're a messenger. Okay. So. What do we have to that idea? Let's, let's take a look now. This is where it's going to start to get really, really interesting. So what do Moses, John Ellen white have in common? Well, Moses wrote five books that cover the first five books of old Testament history. John's words are in the first five books of new Testament history, but Ellen, right?

49:10 She wrote five books that cover all of salvation history, patriarchs and prophets, kings, desire of ages, actually apostles. Great country. Wow. The entire. Of salvation history. Okay. Moses was face to face with God on Mount Sinai. Joseph, John, the Baptist was face to face with, uh, Jesus in the Jordan river. Ellen white was face to face with Jesus when she was called. We're about to look at that story. Moses shows up at the end of the 400 year prophecy from Abraham. John shows up close to the end of the 40, uh, 400. Excuse me, the 69 week prophecy, uh, in Daniel chapter nine and Ellen white shows up at the end of the 2,300 day prophecy from. Daniel eight 14, uh, Moses heralds a new baptism. John heralds a new baptism. Ellen white heralds a baptism.

49:58 We're going to look at that. Moses prepared the way John prepares the way and all Ellen white also prepares the way just like a messenger and also a new faith system started when she started her ministry, just like the beginning of Judaism, the beginning of Christianity, the beginning of Adventism. Each one of them had a messenger right at the start. Okay. So, so, so what's the point of what I'm trying to say? The point of what I'm trying to say. The point of what I'm trying to say is simply this Adventism is a non-profit organization. So, yeah, it's a lot deeper than most people realize everybody's arguing as to whether she's a prophet or not, but it's, it's actually much deeper than that. She's actually a messenger and there's a specific calling that separates her from she, uh, a prophet is a messenger, excuse me, a messenger is a prophet, but not every prophet is a messenger. Okay. Cause it's a higher calling. It's a bigger deal. And actually not only in, uh, Judaism, excuse me, not only in Christianity and Judaism, can you see this?

50:58 You can also see this in Islam. Okay. Because in Islam, they actually have two different words for a messenger and a prophet. They have a Rasul and Nabi. Interesting. Okay. Yeah. And they, they, they recognize the difference. There's like way more profits than messengers. Messengers are much more rare. And, um, what's really, really interesting though, is that in. Uh, Islamic theology, they say, and we certainly sent into every nation, a messenger. So every single country that ever exists should have its own messenger according to them. Right. And so I'm asking the United States started in 1776. So who's the messenger for the United States then Mr. Muhammad that's in the Quran. Right. And, and there's actually debate in the head. This, this is the writings of the prophet, their extra sayings of the prophets and Aisha, uh, Muhammad's wife.

51:49 She, he, she ends up saying. Um, say he's the seal of the prophets, but say not he's the, the last of the prophets. So there's debate as to whether there's another coming after Muhammad in Islamic theology. But although Muhammad is the seal of the prophets, it doesn't say that he's the seal of the messenger. And so I actually shared this with some Muslim guys, with some Muslim friends. And I said, yeah, there's a Rasul that came after Muhammad. He's like, really? And I was knocking on doors and inviting people to Bible studies. And he was like, really? And I was like, yeah. And she lived a hundred years ago and it's a woman. He's like, what? Yeah. I need to hear this. So that was a really, really good conversation, but it was mind blowing. So, so now let's actually get to the really, really exciting stuff. How did Paul confirm that he was an apostle of messenger? Uh, first Corinthians nine, one says, am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ? Our Lord.

52:39 And in the story, we know that on the road to Damascus, he was basically knocked off his high horse and he sees the vision of Jesus and the other guys that were with him did not see Jesus. Okay. Uh, verse seven, it says, and the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. Okay. So they didn't get, they didn't get a visual confirmation that Jesus was there talking to him, but Jesus was there talking to him for real. Okay. So how did Ellen white receive her commission from Jesus? Well, as we said, all of them had it face to face. Well, this is the story of the ball of fire. Ellen white, when she was 17 years old, shortly. After 1844, she says here, she was in a hit in a house and she was starting to get these visions and she wasn't sure if she would want to be a prophet or be a messenger and take on this role.

53:31 And she says, while praying the thick darkness that enveloped me was scattered a bright light, like a ball of fire came towards me. And as it fell upon me, my strength was taken away. I seem to be in the presence of Jesus and the angels. Again, it was repeated, make known to others what I've revealed to you. After that, I did not resist anymore. The light that came to me, I was willing to go nothing, but a girl as I was 17 years old, father Pearson got up just as soon as I could see anything or hear anything or talk about anything. And said, he, I never expected to see such a site. There was a ball of fire that came right down and struck Ellen sister, Ellen Harmon, right on the heart. I saw it. I saw it. So there were others that saw that very thing. Now. Okay. She published this. She published this way early on around 1863. And that gentleman, John Pearson, his father Pearson, she's talking about, he died in 1878 and he never contested this.

54:30 He always held to the idea. He's like, listen, I saw the ball of fire. I saw it come out of the sky and it landed on her chest. And then she went into vision. And in her vision, Jesus says, listen, I'm calling you to do my work, to share my word. Okay. We, we talk about a, a very interesting character that's alive today called Chris. I don't know if you've heard of him, but, um, yeah, don't know much about him though. Yeah. So he's, he's also seeing balls of light, balls of fire come down and speak with him. And oftentimes he says, women with bowls come out and talk with him and tell them that they are Hathor and that they have a message. And they, they, they tell him specifically, they said, we want you to be our messenger and to reveal us to the world. And so, yes, I, I heard the story. Yeah. Everything Satan does is a counterfeit of something God does.

55:28 That's the, that's the key thing to realize. Satan doesn't originate. He always, uh, uh, uh, he always is a copier of something that God does. Okay. When Moses came and started doing miracles, he turned his staff into a snake, right? Um, so did the, the, the, uh, magicians with Pharaoh. Yeah. They turned their staffs into. Snakes as well. And it looks like they're both were the same power, but it was entirely different because, uh, Moses snake ate up the snakes, the day of two snakes that were there. Okay. And so, so sometimes it looks, there's, there's true miracles and there's false miracles, but you have to test, use the Bible as a test to figure out which is true. Okay. So what I'm going to start off by doing is showing you the supernatural, and then later on, you're going to see the fruits of the ministry, and that's going to help you understand how to test whether this is actually from God or from the other side. So we're going to now take a look at some of the supernatural evidences in her life and the super supernatural is not necessarily evidence of God, but we're going to show you the supernatural.

56:29 Then we're going to show you the fruits of the spirit that help you understand that it is God that is working. Um, so what supernatural secrets did she reveal in her life? Well, there's this really interesting book and it's called a part three of biographical history of eminent and self-made men of the state of Michigan. And in this book, it's. It's. It's a book about a woman named Ellen White, and in this book, they're covering, uh, James White, who is a co-founder of the seven day Adventist church, but they're also talking about Ellen White. And as they're describing her, I want you to notice what they write about her. This is not an, uh, Adventist publication or even Christian publication. They just are telling the truth as they know it. And look at what they said about her as a speaker. Mrs. White is one of the most successful of the few ladies who have become noteworthy as lecturers. In this country. The only woman who can truly strengthen her vocal organs as to give her voice, rare depth, and power.

57:24 Her clearness and strength of articulation are so great that when speaking in the open air, she has frequently been distinctly heard at the distance. Of a mile. What? Okay. Now I need you to understand this is when there's microphones don't exist. Okay. Microphones exist, so. It's like, yeah, we could hear her from a mile away. So now you're going to ask the question, why? Let me show you why. Let's take a look. Okay. What was the secret to her speaking so powerfully? Let's look at it. In my younger days, I used to talk too loud. The Lord has showed me that I could not make proper impression upon the people by getting the voice to an unnatural pitch. Then Christ was presented before me and his manner of talking, and there was a sweet melody in his voice.

58:14 His voice, in a slow, calm manner, reached those who listened. His words penetrated their hearts, and they were able to catch on to what he had said before the next sentence was spoken. So basically, in other words, she learned to preach by watching Jesus in vision. Wow. Okay? And the evidence of it is a secular book telling people, yeah, we heard her from a mile away. I don't know if you know anybody that you've heard from a mile away distinctly without a microphone. But that's the only person in the book, that book, that has ever been described as being able to be heard from a mile away. So something special going on. So not only that, but at this time, we know that this is around the time of the Civil War. And the Civil War is very, very interesting because a lot of secrets and a lot of things happened during the time of the Civil War as there's internal conflict.

59:08 But God was trying to reveal stuff to his people during the Civil War to prepare them for what was going to happen. So look at this vision by Ellen White. And this is exclusive, okay? This is like the first time I'm sharing this. Yeah. January 4th, 1862. She says, I was shown some things in regard to our nation. My attention was called to the Southern Rebellion. Before President Lincoln's administration commenced, great advantage was taken by the South. The former administration planned and managed for the South to rob the North of their implements of war. They had two objects for so doing. They were contemplating a determined rebellion and must prepare for it. And when they should rebel, the North would be wholly unprepared. They would thus gain the time. And by their violent threats and ruthless course, they thought they could so intimidate the North that they would be obliged to yield to them and let them have everything their own way.

1:00:03 Now, this is so crazy, man. This is so crazy because it's 1862, right? So the Civil War has started. But she's saying that earlier on, she saw. Envisioned, God showed her that weapons were being basically given to the South. And so is that true? Do we have any evidence that like like something like and how would she know that like weapons were actually being given to the South? Well, let's let me let me show you that. So there's this guy by the name of John B. Floyd. He was the secretary of war under James Buchanan's administration. He was the president before Abraham Lincoln. OK. And he was. He was serving just when the war started. Now, what's crazy is that Ulysses S. Grant, who was a former president also, but he was the commander of the Union forces, the general, the commander of the Union forces.

1:00:57 He basically in his memoirs, which were released in 1885, he said this. Floyd, the secretary of war, scattered the army so much of it. Excuse me. Floyd, the secretary of war, scattered the army so that much of it could be captured when hostilities should commence. Yes. And distributed the cannon and small arms from northern arsenals throughout the South so as to be on hand when treason wanted them. And what he was doing, John B. Floyd, he was sending arms to Texas and to he's from Virginia. He's a Virginian. And so when the state of Virginia seceded, he went and joined the South and was fighting against the North, although he was in the federal government before the war started. But what he was doing, he's sending weapons to the southern places to federal bases. And so the South was calling for the South to strike, purportedly.

1:01:46 But knowing that they were going to secede, it was basically an arms grab so that the South could have weapons. And so that's what he was doing. And he was actually indicted for doing this. But then they threw out the charge of indictment. But later on, records came out in 1880. Just to show you real quick, the official records of the Union and Confederate armies came out in 1880 and it showed that he had ordered all these guns and some of the guns went to the other side. God had shown up. So so suddenly shooting like this. Yes. So they shot down the rifles. that to Ellen White. Why? Why did he show there? Because the North thought they were going to wipe out the South in three months. But then because the South had been strengthened, God was trying to let his people know this war is going to go on a little bit longer than you realize because they're getting stronger. And so like, there's no way she could have known that because this is government army like secrets. Like what's the highest level of clearance that you can think of in the time of the civil war? It's the stuff that's happening there. And God was showing it to her before it happened. Excuse me, right after it happened. And the public only knew around 1880 when the memoirs came out from Elise's grant and the official records. Okay. So this is again, evidence that God was telling her directly, listen, this is what's going on behind the scenes. Okay. Which is incredible. Like I, this is the first time I'm sharing this. Okay. What else? Secrets within secret societies. This is a crazy story because I had a buddy of mine who was going to become a Mason. And so I told him this story. This is a guy named N.D. Falkett, Nathaniel D. Falkett. And he was a 33 degree Mason, but he was also a Christian or a seven day Adventist at the time. And Ellen White was telling him, listen, you can't be a Christian and a seven day, you can't be a Christian and a Mason. You can't be in a secret society, which basically serves the devil. And then at the same time, a Christian on the other side, you got to serve one or the other, one master, as Jesus says.

1:03:38 And so she writes this letter to him, but God is telling her, don't give him the, don't send the letter to him. Wait for him to come to you. So finally he, he hems and he haws. And then eventually he's like, okay, fine. I'll go see Ellen. And he goes and he sees Ellen and she sits down on her bed. She's, she's like injured at this time. This is in Australia. And she starts reading the letter to him. Okay. And all of a sudden, while she's reading the letter, his face goes completely pale. And then she continues reading. And then his face goes completely pale again. Okay. Hands are like shaking. And then he breaks out into tears. He breaks out into fear. Okay. And it's absolutely the craziest situation you've ever seen. Okay. Now this is, this is the account of what took place. It says sister white. He said, gave me the sign known only to the highest order of Freemasons. He was a 33 degree. So he knew this. He says, I knew, no, I knew that she did not know it, but she gave it twice.

I know that as I said something about Freemasonry and the impossibility of a man being a Freemason and a Christian, I made a certain movement, which my attending angel made to me. So the angel, she saw the angel, the angel does the hand sign and she's repeating it with her hands involuntarily. And involuntarily, I made the same motions. That was the time I observed that he turned pale and then put his face in his hands and he wept unrestrainedly. The guy started crying, crying, crying. He cried his way home. And he said, that's it. I'm leaving Freemasonry. And he left Freemasonry and got into the publishing work and became a full on Christian. Okay. And that actually, that story was one of the things that helped my friend get out of Mason, Mason, the initiation ceremony for becoming a Mason. So just continue to realize the fruits. There's no way as a woman, she could have known the hand signals unless God showed it to her. And so that was the evidence. He's like, I know as a 33 degree Mason, there's no way you could know that hand signal, but she did it. And that was proof to him that he's like, yeah, you're, you're testimonies from God. I'm leaving this thing. Okay. So it's just powerful stuff, man. Not only that, check this out. This is really cool. The secrets of growing stuff fast. So Ellen White has a method to grow trees extremely fast. Okay. She describes it basically as digging a super deep hole and you have layers of, of calcium fertilizer and then soil on you, layer it up all the way up. And then you basically plant it. And then you plant it. And then you plant it. And then you plant the tree and you put a rock under the tree. And it's basically, basically like putting, creating a tree, how it was in the garden of Eden at, after the flood, uh, before the flood.

So now I want to show you this video of somebody who actually did this. This guy planted two trees, the exact same time, the Ellen White method, and then the regular method. And I want you to see the difference between the trees. This one was planted, this was planted the forestry method. And you can see that there's a huge difference in these trees. If you can come in a little closer here and look at the size of this trunk. So let's go over to the largest of those that is grown in that forestry method. Now these would be considered healthy trees, but you can see the difference here in the, in the mass of these trees. And if we were to cut this one, which is the largest of those plants.

And he, and he, and he shows you the proof right there on screen. Okay. I'm going to, I'm going to run it. I'm going to rush because there's so many things I have to show you. So why would God give at Venice a secret to grow plants fast? What's the purpose of God revealing that to people? Check this out. She says here, this is Ellen White in 1904, again, and again, the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities into the country where they can raise their own provisions for in the future, the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one.

Revelation chapter 13 is the law where you can't buy and sell. And so God, he's like, I want you to grow things. And this is a method that you can grow things quickly and really, really well. So God is thinking ahead and he's trying to get his people to be ahead. Okay. Um, I'm going to skip this next little thing. Okay. So what other evidence is there that she was a divine messenger? Well, we talked about a bunch of different things, but the time prophecy, everything is one of them. So we know that Jesus shows up as a fulfillment. When Jesus shows up, he says the time is fulfilled. And what time is that? He basically was fulfilling the 490 year prophecy. He shows up in 80, 27 is when he was anointed and he started his ministry. Okay. So he showed up on time. Um, but so did the other messengers. Moses shows up at the end of the 400 year prophecy of Genesis 15, 13, John, he shows up at the end of the 69 weeks of Daniel 9, 20, 24. Ellen shows up at the end of the 2300 days in Daniel 8, 14. Interesting. So again, just super duper clear, right? It's just super duper consistent. What other evidence is there that she was a messenger? Okay. Now this is where it gets excited. She prepares the way just like John and just like Moses. What way is she preparing? Uh, that's well, yeah. Malachi chapter three, verse one says, behold, I will send my messenger and he shall prepare the way before me. What way is she preparing? Well, Moses prepared the way for God to arrive at the tabernacle by getting the instructions on how to build the tabernacle correctly. John the Baptist prepared people's hearts so that Jesus could be, um, well received before he would visit the tabernacle, the temple that was there in Jerusalem. So does Ellen White have her own temple that she's preparing God? She's helping to prepare us for God to arrive at. What does Paul say in first Corinthians chapter six, verse 19?

Uh, well, a few years ago, there was this, um, national geographic article and the entire magazine actually was kind of about the idea that there's people groups who live longer and seventh day Adventists were one of the groups that live the longest in the world. If not the only group that is an expanding culture of longevity, because it's not about where they live. It's about how they live. Yeah. And so, so this body temple is that what Ellen White was doing, helping to prepare the body temple so that God could arrive. The Holy spirit can arrive at this body temple. We'll notice this. Some of you guys might know who this is. This is John Harvey Kellogg, right? Yeah. Kellogg cereal cornflake guy. There you go. The cornflake guy. Exactly. Before he frosted his flakes and kind of got into pantheon. That's a joke of a minister, but yeah, the two guys are William and Charles Mayo. They're both doctors and they were huge fans of Dr. Kellogg. Huge fans. They actually were like, this guy's a genius. Like he's super duper smart. And they said that the Mayo clinic, which you guys have heard of actually was his idea that he gave to them. Now, what made Dr. Kellogg such a genius doctor? How did he get all of his, his data? And he actually was said to be five years ahead of the red, the industry. It says here, do you know, and this is him, right? This is him speaking.

1:11:56 Do you know what it is that the battle Creek sanitarium is able to keep five years ahead of the medical profession? And Dr. Paulson, who was a new doctor at the time, he said he did not know. Then Dr. Kellogg explained the thing is brought out in the medical world. I know it from my knowledge of the spirit of prophecy, whether it belongs in our system or not. So man, the other doctor figure things out, but he's always five years ahead. And he, at his day, he was considered the best in the world at the best hospital in the world. I don't have time to go into all that right now. He basically was my information from Ellen. And I basically just, if it lined up with that, I worked. Okay. So she says here, the Lord gave me gun health reform. I was also to speak on the subject of Christian temperance as the Lord's appointed mess. And just this, let's, let's, let's actually give an example of this. Yeah. Watch this. Let's pretend you have a sore throat, right? But this is like a hundred years ago. You're like, man, hey, doc, I got this sore throat. I can't, I tried to take some lozenges. Nothing I take will kill it. Like, what do you, what do you think I should do? Right? And what if your doctor turned to you and said, well, Brad, what I think you need is a fresh cigarette. How about you have a fresh cigarette, Brad? Right? And you're, what, what, what would you say to that? Well, today, no. Yeah, exactly. Today, no. But back then, you probably would have taken it. Right. Right? Up until the 1950s, doctors, we're still heavily prescribing cigarettes for anything having to do with your throat or your lungs. Okay. Now, what's crazy is that that was a very popular thing back then. And is there a Bible text that says thou shalt not smoke?

1:13:40 No. No, there's not. So you didn't have Bible and you didn't have science to let you know what was the safe thing to do. Because if you tried to get the remedy to your cough, you might end up getting lung cancer. Right. Watch this. In 1944, a doctor by the name of Frank Wood said, tobacco is a poison. Excuse me. Yeah, this is what he said. He said there are soothing or paralyzing effects of nicotine upon the nerve endings. So he started to realize he started doing research around 1944 that yeah, there's something wrong with nicotine. And they later on discovered something, some things are bad, but watch this. That's 1944. 80 years before that, Ellen White wrote these words. Tobacco is a poison of the most deceitful and malignant kind, having a nicotine. having an exciting, then a what? Paralyzing influence on the nerves of the body. Exactly what that doctor discovered 80 years later. Wow. How in the world did she know? Grade three education, right? She stopped school in grade three. How did she know? And incidentally, actually, little trivia, guess what year it was that doctors discovered smoking could cause cancer? Take a guess. Okay. I'll pull the audience. What do you think? Go ahead. Take a guess. Put it in the comments. So the answer is actually 1964. Wow. So all that time people were smoking, but Seventh-day Adventists who are Christians that believe the Bible and had Ellen White, the messenger, also known as the spirit of prophecy, they avoided doctor's advice and the rest of the world's advice because they're like, yeah, no, cigarettes are bad for you.

1:15:20 And they can cause potentially, they're bad for your nerves. But she also talked about the cavities. As well. So she was ahead of the game. She was ahead of the game, my friend. And the question is, people are like, how did she know? It's because God was telling her. Now I'm just going to go through a bunch of things, statements that she says with the video to back it up. This part's really crazy. Okay. So watch this. Out of door life is a means of gaining health and happiness. As the sick look upon the beautiful scenery, as they see the flowers in their loveliness, the sick will find health, cheerfulness, and happy thoughts. So here's she saying, listen, if, if people who are sick, just look at nature, it's actually going to help them heal faster. Now, wait a second, Ellen. Like, are you sure? Like, are you really serious? Like, are you kind of tripping here? Let's see what the science says. Let's see what the science says. Watch this. But many of them are based. And one, of course, is biophilia, that we have a response to the natural world. That's very profound. We have a response to human beauty. More people in the United States attend zoos. Then they do all of the national sporting events. People love to be part of the natural world.

There were very interesting studies done on people recovering from surgery who found that people who faced, this was published in Science, people who faced a brick wall versus people who looked out on trees and nature, the people who looked at the brick wall were in the hospital longer, needed more medication, and had more medical complications. There's something very restorative about nature. They just discovered that. Published in Science. Over 100 years ago. Okay, that's not the only one. Wait, watch this. There should be no eating between meals, and at least five hours should be allowed to elapse between meals. Indigestion is the result of food taken into the stomach before the digestive organs have had time to dispose of the foregoing meal. Five hours. But Ellen, you don't have a, you don't have a camera that goes down into the stomach to test that out. So like, what are you guessing at? Like, is there any evidence for that? Well, let's let's look at what the science is saying. Yes, if you've ever fasted and midway through a fast, you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom. That is not uncommon. That's because the migrating motor complex is kicking into gear, and it's getting rid of a lot of the debris. And you're moving a lot of waste at that point in time, because the migrating motor complex, the janitorial crew has come in, it's put a bunch of stuff in trash bags, it's moving it out through your body. That's great. We love that. But there's a specific number between meals too. Generally, it's going to be between four and five hours for the migrating motor complex to have a chance to do its job, at least to a small degree. So the simple answer is you want to wait about four to five hours between your meals, because that's going to make it so that the migrating motor complex has had an opportunity to clear out the intestinal tract with all the debris and all the pathogens, so that the next meal, you eat, gets absorbed rapidly, which allows you to have a better insulin response. Now, and I mean, it's the exact, it's the exact description. She like describes the plate by plate what's happening in your body. No, no, no microscopes, no nothing.

She says ministers that's preachers should stand direct and speak slowly and firmly distinctly taking a full inspiration of air at every sentence and throwing out the words by exercising the abdominal muscles. If they will observe this simple rule, giving attention to the laws of health and other aspects respects, they may preserve their life and usefulness much longer than men in any other profession. The chest will become broader. And this is what she did by the way, to speak loudly and clearly. She used her abdominal muscles more. The speaker needs seldom become horse, even by constant speaking, instead of becoming consumptives, which means a person who gets tuberculosis and colds, easy ministers may by exercising care, overcome all tendency to consumption. So she's saying based on your breathing, your breathing ability, right? By your doing deep breathing from your abdominals, you're going to be enabled to resist coals and to resist tuberculosis and diseases.

1:19:52 Now, is there any evidence that breathing actually can help you do that? Well, this, this is the same breathing. This isn't the same breathing as a, as like, uh, um, what do you call that when you're a self transcendental meditation? No, no, no transit, not transcendental meditation, just simple deep breathing. Right. But from your abdominals. Okay. When you're speaking particularly, but also just spending time doing deep breathing outdoors is really good for you. Right. Because sometimes we have air caught in the lower part of our diaphragm that doesn't come out unless you get exercise. Deep breath. Right. So watch this. This is this guy named Wim Hof. Okay. Very, very exciting. Wim's mission is to use his body as a laboratory to revolutionize our understanding. This guy has a crazy breathing exercise. And look, 2011, he was injected with a bacterial endotoxin in an experiment that challenged our understanding of the nervous system. In normal humans, the injection should cause a strong immune response leading to fever, chills, and headaches.

It appeared that he was somehow able to suppress his immune response by making his body secrete adrenaline, suggesting that his method can allow us to influence our immune system. What? Scientists thought he might just be a freak of nature. So to further prove this theory, they performed the same experiment on 12 subjects Wim had trained in Poland. And the same thing happened. Normally, it's very difficult to increase your adrenaline levels by your own will. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Adrenaline is released by the autonomic nervous system. And autonomic means that you cannot voluntarily influence it. So if you walk outside and you are robbed on the street, you will have a heart rate of 160 and your blood pressure will be sky high within seconds. But if I ask you now to increase your heart rate, you cannot do that. You cannot voluntarily modulate that. And with the techniques of Wim Hof, we show that he was able to increase his adrenaline levels to a very high concentration, even higher than people that go bungee jumping for the first time. That was something that we didn't think possible. So breathing, all through breathing, you can literally stop colds through breathing. And I actually I do this all the time. Whenever I start feeling sick, boom, kick into the to the deep breathing. Okay. But I don't want to use too much time. So one more video and then we're gonna we're gonna you know, come to the landing of the plane. All right, so watch this. This is an interesting one. She says here, I have been shown the danger of families that are in an excitable temperament, the animal predominating. So there's, there's families that they have, like, really, like, rough characters, or they're really aggressive, basically, she says their children should not be allowed to make eggs their diet for this kind of food, eggs and animal flesh feeds and keep this word in mind inflames the animal passions. Okay, what? So she's saying don't give your kids eggs if they're already kind of aggressive and bad behaved.

1:23:07 Why is that? Well, recently, according to recent studies, the website nutrition facts helps us understand the reason why over 120 years later, okay, so this was written in 1881. So let's read arachidonic acid is an inflammatory omega six fatty acid inflammatory, virtually impact mental health via a cascade of neuro inflammation and may inflame our brain. High blood levels and bloodstream have been associated with a greater likelihood of suicide risk, for example, major depressive episodes. How can we stay away from this stuff? Well, Americans are exposed to arachidonic acid primarily through chicken and egg. What? He says eggs? He says eggs? Yeah, yeah, cuts out. But he says chicken and eggs. So eggs and eggs and chicken are the highest in arachidonic acid. Okay, they're super high in arachidonic acid, and it suppresses the action of the frontal lobe, which is where your mood happens, and which is where you connect with God.

1:24:09 So when you suppress this, it gets harder for you to feel good. And they talk about basically, if you watch the rest of the video talks about your mood going down, the more you have of arachidonic acid. Incredible. So like what we're noticing right now, other nutritionists have noticed this, this guy, Dr. C, Colin Campbell, he wrote the China study, the largest epidemiological study ever done. And he basically was given some of Ellen White statements, and then he read it. And he's like, wow, and he's not an Adventist. He's like, I'm not aware of anyone who's more important than Ellen White, given her background. She's truly an amazing woman. I'm convinced that almost 100% of her statements are now substantially supported by the scientific evidence that has been developed during the past two to three decades. Okay. Now, he's not an Adventist. And he says, what I've come to realize, and I'm deeply worried about is why is it that this message of Ellen White and others is so has been so mislaid on the shelves out of sight? It is abundantly clear to me that now is the time to bring this forward in whatever way each of us are able to do. Okay. Well, some people will say that, okay, okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, here's what it is. She stole these ideas from other people. These ideas from other she was looking around, and she took all the best ideas that were around the cigarettes, all this stuff.

1:25:28 And so now it looks like she's a smart, but she was just taking the best stuff from back then. Well, that's a really interesting idea. Because that idea was actually presented, to a guy by the name of Clive McKay, a nutritionist from Cornell University. Before I get to that, I'll just let you know, she actually denies that happening. She in her own writing says, Listen, I did not read any works upon health, until I had written spiritual gifts, volumes three and four appeal to mothers and had sketched out most of my six articles in the number six, six numbers of how to live. So she's like, I didn't touch anybody else's stuff until I'd written out what God had given me. Okay. And this guy, Clive McKay, he basically had been presented with Ellen White writings by one of his students named Bonnie Chen. And he read it and he was like, Hold up a second. This lady, she was given he she gave him the book, Consles on diets and foods. And it has the dates that she wrote those statements in the book. And so he was like, Hold on a second. She wrote this in 1881. But this was actually discovered 30 years later. Paul Tai 🎵 linux scenes is correct. And he kept seeing the wrote and then he he had like a photographic memory and so he was like memorizing the literature of when those things were discovered he's like how in the world did she know these things before they were published in the scientific literature she's like well we believe you know that it was god and so he was unbelievably blown away by this he started lecturing about ellen white in his nutrition lectures and he's completely secular not a christian not anything right not not a seventh day advent excuse me and so what happens is uh the the editor of this magazine called the review he basically his name is uh fd nickel and he basically wrote this um he basically wrote this article about this subject and clive mckay wrote these articles covering the same material and it was amazing to see because he asked him the question he said listen people are saying she plagiarized this material people are saying she plagiarized this material what do you think and look at clive mckay's response to that accusation his response was this nonsense clive mckay response i simply cannot accept that explanation it creates a much bigger problem than it resolves if she merely copied her contemporaries how did she know which ideas to borrow which to reject out of the berillion out of the bewildering array of theories and health teachings current in the 19th century most were quite irrational and have now been repudiated they were like doing bloodletting back then okay yeah she would had to be the most amazing person with knowledge beyond her times in order to do this and so clive mckay's response to that accusation was to do this successfully yeah so in other words it makes no sense that she was picking and choosing because there was more bad ideas than there were good ones so how is she so good at cherry picking the right ones it's because god was telling her it's the only conclusion when you actually study now now people look who are antagonistic to this stuff they're going to present other data to you and we have answers for that but they will not talk about some of the stuff that i'm sharing with you today they pretend like it doesn't exist but it doesn't exist so clive mckay's response to that accusation was to do this successfully yeah so in other words it makes no sense that she was picking and choosing because there was more bad ideas than there were good ones it makes no sense that she was picking and choosing but it's looking you right in the face and you have no other conclusion at least for me i've come to the conclusion i'm like like i can't see any more data to change my mind because it's just so clear but okay so why so much advice about the body temple and this is the main point moses talked about a new baptism right first corinthians 10 verse 2 it says that moses baptized the children of israel uh in the red sea john the baptist he baptized people in the jordan well what is the new baptism that ellen white talked about in the new baptism yeah but the answer to that is that they were Ellen White talks about. Check it out. I entreat the church members in every city that they lay hold upon the Lord with determined effort for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And so that is the

1:29:19 baptism that God wants. He's like, listen, I don't want to just be far from you. I want you guys to be the generation that I live inside of. I want to live inside of you. And so in order for that preparation to happen, it's a spiritual preparation, but it's also a physical preparation, right? Moses focused on the physical development of the temple. John focused on the spiritual development of the people. But for us, it's both because it's easier to do good when you feel good. Does that make sense? Right. So God wants us to feel good. So he's like, I want your body to be the temple that I live in. I don't want to be far from you. I want to be as close as possible. And so he's given all this information on health so that we can feel good. We can feel good. We can feel good and be in good health. Okay. So I'm about to wrap this up, but just stay with me for a second here. So how did Ellen treat her doubters? There was a lady who doubted what she said. And look at what she said. She said, Sister Lockwood came to me and said, Sister White, I do not believe your testimonies. I want you to understand so that you won't think that I'm trying to deceive you. I don't believe in them. I went and I put my arm around her and said, my dear sister, you are my sister. I don't expect that you will believe all at once, but I shall love you just the same as if you said you are in full confidence. I leave you with the Lord and I have no quarrel with you. Well, I tell you, it was not many days before she came up and said, I want to tell you, I believe, I believe. Oh, I believe with all my heart. And she believed until she died. And friends, the strongest argument in favor of Christianity is a loving and lovable Christian, but the proof is in the pudding.

1:31:01 If you are not sure about Ellen White and you have questions and all these things, don't go to websites that are making accusations about her. That's not the first place to start. The proof is in the pudding. I would recommend you read a book called Desire of Ages. And in that book, you're going to see one of the most beautiful pictures of Jesus from somebody that purportedly actually saw her, saw him, excuse me. And I'm saying this because now this, what I'm about to show you is so cool. There was a rumor that, you know, there was a rumor that there was a rumor that Ellen White was passing in this, these people's houses and she saw a painting on the wall. And she's like that picture, that picture looks the most like Jesus that I've ever seen. And so I want to show that picture to today. I want to show that picture to you right now. That picture is this picture right here. She said that picture is the most similar to what she saw, said he looks like when she saw him in vision. Okay. And why is that significant? Because what Ellen White is trying to do is to give you the best picture of Jesus possible. My favorite author is not Ellen White. My favorite author is the Holy Spirit that worked through Ellen White. And the job that she has as a messenger is to just give you Jesus's words, the best picture of Jesus possible. And so that's my, my counsel to you. My, my counsel and my advice to you is to go to the actual text, read Desire of Ages, because Jesus says, my sheep know my voice. And you'll know whether his voice is there when you read it for yourself.

But you remember when we looked at Matthew 3, 2, when John said, repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and then repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand was repeated by Jesus, right? You remember when we looked at this earlier? Well, when Jesus was tried, he was tried six, seven times the night of his crucifixion. Three times before Pilate, three times before the high priest, Caiaphas, and then one time in front of Herod. But interestingly, Jesus never speaks to Herod. He has nothing to say to him. And you're like, why does Jesus never speak? He speaks to all the, he speaks to Pilate, he speaks to Caiaphas, but he never speaks to Herod. He was just completely silent. And it made me think like, what, what is, why did he never speak to Herod? And this pastor brought this point out, really, really amazing. He basically said that Herod was the person who actually beheaded who? John the Baptist. And so the point is this, if you silence the messenger, you also silence the voice of the one who sent him. If you don't want to hear the messenger, that means you don't want to hear the person that actually sent them. So you want to take the time to know for sure who that messenger is coming from, right? Because that's literally what happened to Herod.

1:34:07 Jesus has nothing to say to Herod, because Herod had already killed John the Baptist. So I just got to tell you, friends, there's a lot more that I can share. But, you know, God doesn't want you, and this is not just for this subject, but for anything. God doesn't want us to just date the truth. He wants us to marry the truth. Amen. Does that make sense? Right. You know, like, have you ever seen somebody who dated somebody for like 10 years? And you're like, it should not take you 10 years. It should take you time. It should take you time. Take the time to figure things out. Spend the time, do the research, right? But you should come to a point where you're like, yeah, I want this for the rest of my life. Or no, I don't want this for the rest of my life. And I think that some people, you don't need to be on the fence, because there's a lot of good out there. And the Bible says, you'll know them by their fruits. Sometimes fruit takes time to ripen. And so you'll see the fruit ripen in your life when you taste it for yourself. So that's my advice to you. Absolutely. Don't shoot the messenger, because the messenger has good news. That's right. Wow. Very interesting stuff. I appreciate that, Noamico. And you know what?
