00 can you read that again what wait what oh sure this is from who this is from joseph fielding smith he was the president in the 1970s he said the lord is not restricted in giving invitations to other creations so you need not be surprised if some visitors from some other worlds do visit this one tonight we're speaking with david david is a patreon member he's also a member of our discord private group and he is an ex-mormon and he's here to help us understand how the mormon church relates to this in-time deception this is part of a series we're doing on different religions primarily focused on how that religion will be either deceived or play into the final deception as we find subject matter experts on these different religions we will produce more and more videos on that specific religion tonight's episode is obviously on that the latter-day saints or mormons so david tell me a little about yourself so i was born a latter-day saint my family has been in church for a very long time um i served a mission i graduated from brigham young religion is still very important to me even though i'm kind of separated myself from the faith i enjoy astronomy um that's probably my favorite hobby right now i haven't seen anything spectacular yet are you like so brigham young that's i so i used to live out in on oahu for several years and um there's there's a brigham young at the top of oahu isn't there yeah so there's a campus the brigham young hawaii campus there's also one in idaho i went to provo which is the main campus okay okay so and brigham young forgive me for not knowing enough about my um my mormon history but brigham young is is one of the founders he's the second prophet of the church yeah he was with joseph smith from the beginning yeah oh okay he led the saints from yeah out to utah oh okay all right so break it down to us um very i guess uh as if you were talking to someone that doesn't understand all of everything that's going on in the in the mormon church because that would be me i'm going to ask you a lot of questions but primarily what i'm very curious about is um what mormon theology is on this ufo topic what um deceptions might be how the mormon church might play into bible prophecy or how it might be deceived by it or how it might aid it or anything like that anything you got especially if it's straight from the books i'm fascinated by it i think it would be useful to go over lds views on creation even though it's not directly tied to ufology that'd be all right would that be all right absolutely let's do it sure so i think mormons can say with a straight face that we believe that god is the creator but if you were to look into the doctrine of the scriptures and you it might be a bit more nuanced than that how the narrative would actually go is um i'm gonna use some very specific language so under the direction of god the father of being called elohim jehovah also known as jesus same being organized a new earth along with the help of his friend the archangel michael who also happens to be the atom of the garden of eden so i use some very specific language so i use the word organize and not create for mormons god is not some magician that can summon matter out of nothing and it is literally the doctrine that this earth that we live on now is made out of pre-existent matter where you could say other earths that have passed away oh so i'm just giving you a flavor for how we view the creation interesting so that's so i mean so i'm not one of many earths yeah that's that's that's and i just can't understand that from the uh i i don't know how this is viewed in the mormon church but from the cartoon you know what the cartoon is i'm talking about um i think so it's been using a lot of memes i think yeah yeah uh yeah i'm not sure it was if it was on what show it was on but um i uh sadly you understand the theology through some of the more pop culture and it might not be accurate but um so what i'm understanding so far is that um mormons believe that god doesn't create everything from nothing he uses kind of like a scientist
58 that's uh and creates suppose you could say that creates from yeah we would say that god obeys the laws that he created you could say so kind of doesn't make sense to make matter out of nothing yeah so i have another answer about that it comes from the lds endowment ceremony i have been through the temple because i've sort of separated myself from the church i don't mind talking about it but during the endowment ceremony in the temple you sit down and you watch a film that dramatizes the events of the garden of eden and in one particular scene lucifer comes to a very naive adam and says it looks like you have a new world adam modeled after the old one where we used to live so making that really yeah do you have access to this film constantly changing but no no was it leaked to youtube somewhere maybe we can find it might be linked to youtube well adam you have a new world here a new world yes a new world haven't after the old one where we used to live i know nothing about any other world oh i see the ranks are not yet open you have forgotten everything you must eat some of the fruit of that tree so i'm just setting up like a flavor of how mormons view the universe and i think we could talk about this and i think we could talk about this and i think we could talk about this um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um own one, because I used to have several Mormons that are on mission over to my house, and they always had this big thick book with them. I was like, hey, what is that? It's cool. I'm a book guy. I like books, and I have this huge shelf, and I was like, I want that book. Where do you get that from? So I went to a shop, this obscure small shop down in the middle of nowhere, and I walked in, and they said, oh, good. Hi, I haven't seen you before. What, what do they call it? What section of the church are you from? What's it called? Parish? No. Ward. Ward, yeah. They said, what ward are you from? And I said, ward. I'm just here to get a book. I don't know what ward I'm from, but they were very nice, and so I got it. It has all the books in it. It has the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrines and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. I'm not LDS, and I didn't grow up in the LDS church, and I'm still not, but I found it interesting because what I wanted to do was, if they looked up something that I thought was interesting, I wanted to look it up too and find it. Not only that, I had my own agenda, and so I had all these tabs made because there was something in there that is beyond the scope of this talk that was not in the beliefs of the LDS church that was in my own personal beliefs, and I could prove it from the quad. And so I can tell you...
50 I can tell you about that after or maybe on a Patreon content, but it was really fascinating. So I don't want to take away from what you have to say. No, that's fine. I just find it fascinating to find non-members that have quads because unironically, I have never owned one. I have always kept them separate. So yeah, we'll read a few verses from the Pearl of Great Price, which is different from the Book of Mormon, but we'll go over this doctrine of worlds without end and depth. So I think I might just paraphrase. I'll paraphrase from the Book of Moses. If it's all right, then I'll read it out. Yeah. Again, Book of Moses is the book, because I don't remember Book of Moses. Do you want to know the history of the Pearl of Great Price or... Yeah, briefly. Yeah, that'd be good. Sure. So after Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, a traveling merchant was traveling through Illinois, and he had a bunch of Egyptian artifacts, and Joseph Smith purchased an Egyptian papyrus fragment, and he claims to have translated it into what we can now call the Pearl of Great Price, and it gives an account.
50 It gives an account of Moses, Enoch, Melchizedek, Abraham, just an expanded story for them. It's not a very large book at all, perhaps like 15 chapters or so. Huh. Okay. I think that briefly sums it up. And that was the Pearl of Great Price? That's right, yeah. That's at the very end, right before the topical guide in the quad, I think. Oh, okay, okay, okay. I didn't realize it was that short. Okay. The Covenants. Yeah, it is short. Wow. It's only like a small section of this. There it is right there. Pearl of Great Price. So if you're looking for that exact Egyptian papyrus, unfortunately, it's been lost. It was lost in a fire in some museum, so... Really? I guess there's no way to know what it actually said, but... Anyway, I'm going to share this verse. It says, The Lord God sent it to Moses. For mine own purposes have I made these things. Here is wisdom, and it remaineth to me. And worlds without number have I created.
50 And I also created them for my own purpose. But only in account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power, and there are many that now stand, and are innumerable unto man. But all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine, and I know them. For those of you who are interested, that's Moses chapter 1, verses 26 to 35, essentially. I paraphrased it down a bit. And then I have another example from this. It's from the book of Abraham. While Abraham is in Egypt, an angel comes to Abraham and teaches him about the heavens. And specifically, he talks about the dwelling place of God, which is nearest a star called Kolob. And I read somewhere else, one president of the church mentioned that he thought that the earth was formed in the, I don't know, spirit influence of Kolob. And then when Lucifer rebelled, I guess the earth was ejected to where it is now, far away from Kolob.
47 I'm probably not doing that justice. I don't have that quote in front of me. But these things, this is like esoteric doctrine. This isn't something you would hear at church on Sunday. Just be searching through the doctrine. And then the last example I have comes from Moses chapter 7. And this deals with Enoch. I think this one is worth reading because it'll segue into something else I'd like to talk about. This is Moses chapter 7, verse 29 to 30. And Enoch said unto the Lord, How is it that thou canst weep, seeing thou art holy, and and from all eternity to all eternity and were it possible that man could number the particles of the earth yea millions of earths like this it would not be a beginning to the number of thy creations and thy curtains are stretched out still and yet thou art there and thy bosom is there and also thou art just thou art merciful and kind forever and thou hast taken zion to thine own bosom so i hope i'm just justifying my claim that mormons believe that there are many earths like this one that this work is not unique in any way well we do say it's unique in the fact that it's the most wicked of all of god's creations in the sense that we have put the messiah to death so as we could make that argument and so the purpose of of that is um i guess the the that's the beginning of it and the second part of it is basically they they believe that someday we will inherit our own earth right we will lord over it or as a with a god, I guess.
21 We do believe in the exaltation, well, I shouldn't say we, Mormons do believe in the exaltation of man, in the sense that you can become like God one day. It would make sense that you would have your own creations and such, but. Wow. Mormons believe that Elohim is their heavenly father and that he lives with his many goddess wives on a planet near a mysterious star called Kola. Here, the god of Mormonism and his wives through endless celestial sex produced billions of spirit children. To decide their destiny, the head of the Mormon gods called a great heavenly council meeting. A plan was presented to build planet Earth where the spirit children would be sent to take on mortal bodies and learn good from evil. This is fascinating. I don't want, and I don't want to get so heavy into it that I'm like, wow, I don't believe that. I'm just here to enter, I'm fascinated by what they believe. And so I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna say, that's not true. Let me tell you what the Bible says.
26 You know what I mean? Because that's just not, that's not, I'm not here to be dogmatic about it right now. I'm here to learn, understand, and have my own ideas. You know? Yeah. So this last phrase, it says, and thou hast taken Zion to thine own bosom. What do you know about Enoch from the Bible? Like, what is your? I mean, very little, there's very little in the Bible about Enoch. Obviously the book of Enoch, I don't believe is, is a book that. Fair. Yeah, we can't really say it's legitimate because it has a lot of stuff in it that goes against the Bible. But Enoch, you know, he walked with God and then he was taken.
14 Sure. That's what Mormons also believe, that we take it to the next level, essentially. So the city of Enoch was literally taken up and we believe that it's going to come back down out of heaven in the last days. Okay. I'm just looking over at my notes. It's actually mentioned in the book of Hebrews, why do I call it the book of Hebrews? The Kissel of Hebrews, that Abraham searched for the city of Enoch and that his descendants did as well, which I just find it interesting. I don't know if it's worth reading or not, but. Search for it. Hebrews chapter 10, verse 11, verse 10. For he, Abraham, looked for a city, which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. And then verses 13 to 15 mentioned that his descendants, the patriarchs also searched for it.
09 So I suppose you could say it's a true doctrine, like city of Enoch was taken up into heaven. And I guess they were so righteous that they were taken up, they were taken up into God's bosom. So the whole city. So the Mormons believe the whole city of Enoch was taken up or just Enoch himself or Enoch's family? What does that mean? The entire city. Oh, wow. I don't know if that's. That's the first time I've heard that. That's not in line with regular Christianity. That's the first time, okay. No, I've never heard of that before. Fascinating. So we call it Zion, we call it the new Jerusalem. It has a lot of names, but this phenomenon of God, taking up groups of people, isn't unique to just Enoch. We also believe it happened to Melchizedek and his people. Oh, wow. And for that, I would cite the Joseph Smith translation of Genesis, his Melchizedek's people wrought righteousness and obtained heaven and sought for the city of Enoch, which God had taken before, separating it from the earth, having reserved it at the latter days or the end of the world and hath said and sworn with an oath that the heavens and the earth should come together.
17 So Mormons literally believe that these people are going to return to the earth the last day. Oh. I don't know if you want to interpret that as like a ufology type event. That's where my brain went first, yeah. Yeah. Interesting, because what I see happening with all this and stuff, and again, this isn't my doctrine or anything I believe popping into this, this is just from what we've researched on this channel, is that Joe Jordan has brought out and he's shown many other ufologists that have seen that when these things are present, I mean, we just went over a show just two weeks ago or a week ago that talked about how on that episode of the Netflix encounters, that when they started viewing these things and just focusing on them, they had encounters with things that would come back, paranormal issues. And a lot of these paranormal issues, according to Tucker Carlson, has what they think or appears as if. The dead people are coming back. And so demons can appear as anything. Yeah, and so I think that's fascinating that they think that these things are, these righteous people are coming back at the end. Anyway, continue, this is good. So I was looking into the book of Enoch and I've basically come to the same conclusion that you have, that it's a work of darkness.
38 Gnostic, sort of awful text, but for Mormons, we don't ever talk about the book of Enoch, but it is mentioned in Doctrine and Covenants, and this actually led me to study the book of Enoch back when I was still a faithful member of the church. So this would be Doctrine and Covenants section, we don't have to read it, it might be boring, 107 verse 56 to 57. Okay. This reads, so this is a vision that Joseph Smith received. He saw Adam talking to his posterity before he died. That's what this section is about. And Adam stood up in the midst of the congregation, and notwithstanding, he was bowed down with age, being full of the Holy Ghost, predicted whatsoever should befall his posterity unto the latest generation. These things were all written in the book of Enoch and they are to be testified of in due time.
32 So there's a bunch of scholarly debate whether Joseph Smith had access to the book of Enoch, whether he did or didn't, it's probably not working into here, but I did study the book of Enoch and I came across this quote, which I thought was interesting. This is, I don't have a book of Enoch, I just copied this from the internet. Mm-hmm. Chapter 39, verse one says, in those days shall the elect and holy race descend from the upper heavens, and their seed shall then be with the sons of men. So it's definitely in the book of Enoch that the holy race or whatever that's going to be is going to descend in the last days. That's crazy. Wow. Wow, that's something. I find the book of Enoch difficult to understand, but that one stood out to me, so. Mm-hmm. I must've missed that. Wow, that's, yeah, I, there's a huge battle over the mind on this and what people understand about this and what they believe is gonna greatly influence which side they're gonna be taking.
36 That's fascinating. I know we're not talking about your faith, but I just saw that quote from Ellen G. White. Mm-hmm. Sort of sounds similar to this. I don't know what you make of that. Which one was that? The one on? It says she heard a voice, I don't know. She heard a voice from Orion at the open space. Yes. And saw the heavenly city or something. I'm misquoting horribly, forgive me, but yeah. It's a big mystery in the church. I mean, we talk about that a little bit, the Orion quote, and that's what was so fascinating to me when we pulled that out of the occult and the occult was saying that, yeah, the Orion. Are we talking about the Orion constellation or like the nebula or what exactly? I'll have to pull it up to know exactly. No, exactly. We're gonna do a whole video on just what Adventists believe as this one is about what Mormons believe about it. And I'm gonna dig that out because it's a really interesting quote, especially since we found more legitimacy behind it because it's only mentioned once.
35 And it's like, where'd that come from? Well, Abraham was shown the heavens and he was shown where God supposedly lives in that place called Kolob. I wonder if that's Orion, I guess we'll find out, I guess. I don't know. I love looking at the Orion nebula. Like I'm an amateur astronomer, so that's one of the things I like to look at. Maybe I'll see something one day, who knows? I often wonder if that's where all these Catholic telescopes, you know, the Lucifer telescope, I wonder if that's where they're pointing up there. I mean, if the occult is saying, hey, we're gonna, we know that God's coming from the Orion area and surely the Catholic church, is like, oh yeah, let's look over there, you know? I mean, maybe they've been told something too.
24 I don't, if you're wondering why do I think the occult and the Catholic church are knowing the same thing, it's only because I, there was a huge toboggan of misinformation that came from the Catholic church in the very beginning called the dark ages. And that's where, you know, Luther stood up and he had his big thing and Waldensians and everyone came out of that became the Protestants, right? So it's, I'm from that movement. I'm not too thrilled with the Catholic church and what they did and killing everyone over not being able to, or having a Bible in their house. And so I don't trust anything they say. Okay, rant over, I'll take my soapbox back. But I think it's important to say that if the occult believes it, I think the Catholic church is keen on it too. So I guess I could talk about how I found strange normal. Sure. This is what really got me going. A family member came to me and presented me with the most strange, interpretation of the doctrine.
20 I couldn't believe it. And it has to do with the return of the lost tribes of Israel. Church is quite big on this, to be honest. We can read the 10th article of faith. I used to have a memorized, but it's been a while. It says the articles of faith are pretty important. The church were taught to memorize them before we're baptized. So there was a time. All right, this reads, we believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the 10 tribes that Zion, the new Jerusalem will be built upon this, the American continent, that Christ will reign personally upon the earth and that the earth will be renewed and receive its purge cycle glory. This is fascinating because the occultists believe that there will be a rain on earth that will be a peace on earth, the angel of Aquarius. And so the Christian churches, just like I think you said, Mormonism believes that there will be a time when there is peace on earth.
18 A thousand years of peace on earth, which my religion, Adventism doesn't believe that. We go to heaven and we stay in heaven. Yeah, you take it away. We believe at the start of a thousand years, that's when Christ is going to physically come down and rule on earth as king for a thousand years. And that's when the heavenly city, new Zion, Jerusalem is going to come down. Fascinating. It's a little bit different. And so it does, because so is that when- We also believe in a form of the rapture, but like you're saying, we don't call it the rapture. Yeah. Yeah. You're saying? So have you met Jesus in the thousand years or do you meet him at the end of the thousand years? He lives physically on the earth and reigns as king. There's a lot of ufology that believes that there will be a, it's the new age actually, that believes there will be a period of peace on earth that needs to happen.
12 Right, a thousand years of peace and then Satan will be loosed at the end of that thousand year period. Age of Aquarius, that's what it's called. So not- I've heard of this as well. Yeah, not in Adventist theology, but it's- Yeah, this is just cultist stuff, yeah. Yeah. And so I think that's worth mentioning. You mind if I put that in there, us talking about this right now? Yeah, sure. So it's in the church. We believe that the lost tribes of Israel are going to return, but the way in which this family member presented it to me, it sounded like they were going to show up on giant battle stars and like burn the wicked with fire. Wow. It's kind of crazy. What is a battle star? Is that like a- Oh, I was referring to Battlestar Galactica. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. Yeah. Giant starship. Wow. So I started looking into this and it kind of checks out.
06 I go over the verses that I found that are relevant. All right, show me, yeah. This one comes from Apocrypha, the second book of Ezra. We don't typically use the Apocrypha in the church, but- I think this is kind of where it originates from. Joseph Smith was told like it wasn't worth his time to translate the Apocrypha, but it's not worth us either, so. This is second Ezra chapter 13 and it's verses 40 to 46, but I'm not going to read all of them. Start with verse 41. But they took this counsel among themselves that they would leave the multitude of the heathen and go forth into a further country, whether, no, no, no, no, whether, where never mankind dwelt, that they might there keep the statutes which they never kept in their own land. For through that country, there was a great way to go, namely a year and a half, and the same region is called Azareth. So I find that fascinating that this Apocryphal book says that the Lord took them to a quote, place where never mankind dwelt.
13 And as far as I know, people have lived pretty much everywhere on the entire globe. So it's kind of a strange way to put it that way. I guess you could say that Siberia is a wasteland and no one lives there, but. So was this during creation? I mean, what does it say in there? Is it saying during creation or does it say sometime after creation? That's talking about the scattering of lost tribes after the Easterians came in. Oh, I see, okay. So they were scattered and then they went into the north countries or whatever the second Ezra says. But I suppose if you want to be ufology about it, you could interpret that as in the Lord has taken them to another planet as probably to where the city of Enoch and the people of Melchizedek now dwell. Okay, and that's Apocrypha, interesting.
03 That's the Apocrypha, yeah. In our church, there's writings that say at the end of time, the Apocrypha, we will understand the purpose of it or something like that. And so I don't think anybody really understands that. I don't think anybody really understands that. I don't think anybody really understands why it said that. But right now, the purpose of it is to not to be in the Bible. So I'm not sure if it's beyond that or not, but we'll see. So I've got some more stuff about these lost tribes returning. So what puzzled me about this family member who told me that they were going to come and destroy the wicked with fires, like where do you derive that from? I'm getting ahead of myself, but in the Bible dictionary in your quad, we don't need to read it, but it says that, when the lost tribes return, their return is going to be so spectacular and marvelous that it will rival the exodus of the children of Egypt coming out of, the children of Israel coming out of Egypt. So they're going to be accompanied with these kinds of signs and wonders in the sky. That is officially part of the doctrine. And in Doctrine and Covenants says that, I think this is worth reading. This is 133 verses 26 to, we're not gonna read all of them.
14 We're just gonna read the whole thing. So, and they who are in the north country. So talking about these lost tribes of Israel, shall come in remembrance before the Lord and their prophets shall hear his voice and they shall no longer stay themselves. And, and highway shall be cast up out of the midst of the great deep. Their enemies shall become a prey unto them. Interpret that great deep. I guess conservative members of the church might say, oh, they're going to come out of the ocean, I guess. Or you could interpret it as, oh, they're going to come out of the ocean. Interpret the great deep as in the open space that Ellen G. White was talking about, perhaps the great deep of outer space or whatever. Great deep. And then I have that verse that says, their enemies shall become a prey unto them. But that wasn't quite it. Like, where do you drive this? You're going to destroy your enemies with fire. And I couldn't find it for the longest time, but I finally did. And it comes from the Joseph Smith history account.
11 And so this is when Joseph Smith was like 16. The angel Moroni came to him in visions and quoted scripture to him such. And one of them was coming from Malachi chapter four. After telling me these things, he, Moroni, commenced quoting the prophecies of the Old Testament. He first quoted part of the third chapter of Malachi and also quoted the fourth or last chapter of the same prophecy. Though, it was with a little variation from the way it reads in our Bibles. Instead of quoting the first verse as it reads in our books, he quoted it thus. For behold the day cometh that shall burn as an oven. And all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly shall burn as stubble. For they that come shall burn them, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
00 So there's a slight change. Yeah, like the whole first section. Catch it, I don't know. Oh, well, that was just him reporting that the angel told him the verse, and it was slightly different. Oh, the whole, okay, so the second part, they said they burnt them instead of burnt them up. Is that it? Okay, that's not what I caught. So it says, for they that come shall burn them. I think in the Malachi chapter 4 it just says, the day shall come. Yeah, you're right. Behold, the day shall come that shall burn as an oven. And this one says, for they that come. Who's coming? The people of Enoch, maybe? The lost tribes of Israel? Maybe it's the people of Melchizedek? So it's in Mormon theology that... That they that come are going to destroy the wicked with fire. I just thought that was fascinating. Like, I never looked this deep into it before.
52 Because we sort of believe that when Christ comes, he's going to destroy the wicked, right? Right, yeah. And so, but yeah, by his glory, his brightness, they are burnt and destroyed. Is that what Paul says? I think so. I believe so. But it's interesting because the only reason I picked up on the burnt them up part is because, you can be burned, but then you can be burned up, like destroyed completely. So I thought that was interesting. But yeah, no, so they that come, they're the righteous, apparently, that are coming back in Mormon theology? I'm interpreting it as the lost tribes or the city of Enoch. Okay. Or the people of Melchizedek, yeah. Interesting. So they believe the lost tribes are coming back. Okay, fascinating. And then there's a quote in the Book of Mormon that says, like, no weapon's going to prevail against them. So if you want to be like a sci-fi sort of person, like, oh, they're coming back with like advanced weaponry.
55 I don't know. Oh, I remember that in the Bible somewhere. Let me see where I can find that real quick. There's Isaiah 54 there. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and the righteous. And the righteousness is from me. Is that the same thing as what they were saying? Or is it different? Second Nephi sometimes quotes Isaiah, so maybe it is the same. Oh, interesting. I have this verse from Isaiah 13 that says, 13, 3 to 6. I have commanded my sanctified ones, and I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like that of a great people, and the tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of a nation gathered together, the Lord of hosts mustereth the hosts of the battle.
51 They come from a far country, even from the end of heaven, even the Lord and the weapons of his indignation to destroy the whole land. I do accept Isaiah is true, so. Yeah, yeah. I find it interesting. Yeah, Jesus quoted from Isaiah quite a bit. So in the church, we do baptism for the dead. Are you familiar with this? I have heard of that. Mm-hmm. Out of that one verse in the New Testament. It is mentioned by Paul in 2 Corinthians chapter 15, I think. So it is a typical practice to do genealogical work in the church to find names of your ancestors, take them to the temple, and do the work for them there. You'll literally be baptized on their behalf. And it is not uncommon in the church to hear stories about seeing visions, I guess, of these people. They will come to you and thank you for doing their work. Really? Yeah. I wouldn't say it's uncommon.
50 You can interpret that. I know what you would say about that. I am inclined to agree, even. Yeah, we did a whole video on that. If you haven't seen it, I'll put a little clip probably up here. But it's the dead coming back to you is a dangerous thing because you don't know if they are, well, I personally believe, you do know that they are not who you think they are because the Bible is very clear. The entire founding of the church is based upon dead prophets appearing to the prophet Joseph Smith. Peter, James, John, Aaron, Elijah. All these figures apparently appear to Joseph Smith. I thought it was like he found gold tablets somewhere and hid them. That's right. And another prophet called Moroni who lived on this continent appeared to him. So the entire church is inundated. And there's one, I don't know if it's a common story, but one president of the church, I'm not sure who it was.
57 I knew it occurred in the St. George Temple. He reported praying or meditating in the temple. And the founders of this country, like George Washington, like appeared to him and asked him, why haven't you done the work for us? Because in the church, we revere the constitution as like a near sacred document. We say that without the religious freedom, provided by the constitution, the church would have never had room to grow, basically. So this story, like this president of the church did the work for the founding fathers in the temple after he saw a vision of them. What? Make up that what you will. Yeah. I can't remember which president it was, but it was one of the earlier ones, probably. So I do have some other quotes about the Lost Tribes returning. They're not very long, but this comes from the diaries of Wilford Woodruff. He was the fourth president of the church.
45 So not too far separate. And Joseph Smith, he said, President Young said that he heard Joseph Smith say that the 10 tribes of Israel were on a portion of land separated from this earth. And then from another portion, it says, the evening was spent in conversing upon the subject of the 10 tribes in the North country. A portion of the North country containing the 10 tribes may be separated from the earth. Orson Hyde and others believe that they would soon return. I'm just reading some quotes. Yeah, no, that's fascinating. It kind of sounds like they're not on this earth, so they must be on another earth. And that fits well into the doctrine, because we believe in worlds without end, essentially. What does that mean? You said that a few times. I don't understand what the meaning of worlds without end is. I've heard it many times, but I don't think we have the same definition of it.
41 So that's why I'm inquiring. Since I would say God is eternal, his creations are eternal, there have been worlds, there will be worlds before ours, and there will be worlds after ours. That's sort of what I mean. And then all of those quotes that we read earlier about Enoch and Moses and Abraham being told about the infinite vastness of the universe, I guess you could say. There was one last quote that I have written down. This comes much closer to our time. So in the 1970s, Joseph Fielding Smith, he said, the Lord is not restricted in giving invitations to other creations, so you need not be surprised if some visitors from other worlds do visit this one. What? Can you read that again? Wait, what? Oh, sure. This is from who? This is from Joseph Fielding Smith. He was the president in the 1970s. He said, the Lord is not restricted in giving invitations to other creations, so you need not be surprised if some visitors from some other worlds do visit this one.
45 Does he give any context or anything after that? That's quite a quote. That's just the quote that I have. I can see where it's located. I just wrote down the quote. That is Answers to Gospel Questions, Volume 3, page 211. If you want to look into that further. Joseph Fielding Smith. Is that something that's taught in church or is that something that's just... No, it's just a quote that I found. And was that specific one, was it in a random book? I mean, how connected and how much legitimacy, or authority does Joseph Fielding Smith... I mean, after all, he is a namesake of Joseph Smith. He's the president of the church. He was the president of the church in 1970. So he does have a lot of...
37 Wow. Okay. So he's just like, hey, if aliens come and things happen like that, I'm not worried about it. Maybe. So I don't have the notebook in front of me where I wrote down this quote, but Joseph Smith promised, that after he died, he would go and preach the gospel to people on other planets. That probably doesn't do the quote justice, but that's what it said. But Doctrine and Covenants says that any angel who appears to a person on this planet has to have once lived on this world. So it might sound like a contradiction, but I don't think it quite is. Okay. Have to have once lived in this world. Wait, wait, I'm confused. Because Mormon theology says that everyone is in kind of a spirit form until they are born, right? There's like spirit children. That's true, yeah. And so how...
35 I believe in a premoral existence, yeah. Let me think here. So for example, Peter, James, and John, they lived on this earth, and so they can appear to present prophets because they once lived on this earth. Oh, that's what that's saying. Okay. So in other words, once you die, you can... You can start appearing to people, but if you haven't lived in mortal form, according to Mormon theology, you can't appear to people in spirit form. That's part of it. What it's also saying is that the inhabitants of other planets, they can't appear to people on this planet in visions. I'm fascinated by this, and I'm so glad you were in the team here because this really adds to the knowledge base of what's going on here. Because I think there's a huge... There's a huge collage of beliefs that I'm just challenged to see how in the world the deception is going to reign over all of them.
33 Because if everyone's going to come together as it appears everything is at the end, in one uniformed attack... How can it be done? How can it be tacked? Yeah. You got Islam on one side that goes to church on Fridays, Adventists, Saturdays, Jewish Saturdays, you got the rest of the church Sundays, and then they have a barrage of the different beliefs that encompass, I mean, just a series where we're going to talk about all the different, at least four of them, different beliefs. Jehovah's Witness, Adventists, Mormon, Baptists, Methodists, you know, different things like that. How does everyone come together and at least a portion of them? Because there is a great multitude that enter heaven, but at least the majority, I mean, after all, God said, Jesus said while he was on earth, who is God, why in the world... He said, what broad is the way that leads to destruction. So we're going to have a lot of people that are going to be deceived by this. Don't be deceived, he said. So I think it's what the question I really want to answer is, how is it that we're going to get so many different belief systems on the same page at the same time?
49 It just doesn't make sense. It just doesn't make sense. It just seems like a huge... I have lots of thoughts, but probably not for this episode. So, yeah, I mean, that's essentially what I'm answering. And this is, wow, what do Mormons believe about this? And how could they be deceived? And I see it. I see it because if you believe that there's something coming down and it's going to teach you the truth from what you think is heaven, and it's not, it's going to confuse a lot of people. And that's Revelation 16 in a nutshell. They come to the leaders and to the whole world to spread lies. Three frogs. Anyway, I'm preaching, but you understand what I'm saying. So I think it's interesting that we were seeing this happen right now.
38 What's ironic is I do believe Joseph Smith saw and heard what he saw and that everything that happened to him indeed actually happened. I do too. I believe... I don't want this to come off. I think the foundings of the LDS Church are so miraculous that it has to play a part in this deception, whether it's like a mass conversion event or something. It's just, I don't know. Yeah, yeah. And what I like to do is I like to take in all these different ideas, and then I take them and I'm like, okay, that's interesting. I'm going to compartmentalize, pack that up, and I'll store it in the back of my head on the corner and in the back wall there somewhere. And I'm going to pull it out if I find something that kind of connects to that. And it might be a crazy belief. It might be, you know, like there is some... I mean, it might not be religious at all. It might be talking about the Twin Towers and how they fell and who did that and what's going on.
34 You know what I mean? World Trade Center 7? Yeah, exactly. And so how did that fall? I don't know. Where was the plane when it hit the Pentagon? You know, all this stuff. And so I put all that back and I go, hmm. Let's just sit on this for a little while and let's see where it goes because this has got a plane somewhere because it got so widely distributed, which is something I think Satan really has a hand in sometimes. I think there's a lot more that we can probably pick out of this. We might have to do this again sometime. I'm sure there is.
